"Been going here since my high school days in 2015! Now that I live out of state, I look forward to visiting this place whenever I get the chance. My boyfriend says this is the best poke place he's had in his life! The food quality has always been consistent and the fish is always so fresh. I also appreciate that the sauces are on the less salty side so that it doesn't overpower the freshness and quality of the fish. Shout out to the guy working who recognized us from the first time we came here after the airport! :-) service is amazing! He gave amazing recs."
"Aloha hidden gem!! This is my new favorite Hawaiian food restaurant. Lots of flavor and big portions. The chicken katsu is crunchy, yet juicy. (Would probably ask for a side of sauce, I like adding a little to my rice, but that's just me) The bbq teriyaki so GOOD! My favorite is the macaroni salad. I could eat that all the time. First time trying spam and egg musubi was alright, seemed like it needed something. But for me the seaweed was too fishy. Maybe it's not my thing."

"My girlfriend and I were craving for some Poke here! This establishment is near my mom's address so why not! We shared an order of a large of brown rice, all toppings, cooked shrimp, salmon! Give these guys a try people :)."
"The Sushi is 10/10 in my opinion. I got the Gold Dragon Roll, Iron Monkey, Salmon Lover, and Super Crunchy. The service was ok. They need to work on people skills. The Ambiance is weird too because they just stare at you while you eat lol. The reason is because the place is tiny. My suggestion is just order to go."
"A poke bowl for lunch is perfect for a warm day and post pool party! I ordered the Small with 2 Scoops of rice which was plenty. The serving size is perfect. I added tuna, Wasabi, their signature sauce, kimchi, edamame, cilantro, green onions, fried onions, roe, seaweed and ginger. Strip mall.parking. Would come back!"
"I was driving home from LAX with a friend and craving Hawaiian food so we looked up on the Yelp app and found 808 with some good reviews. This is one of those times when unfortunately the food did not live up to the reviews. The galbi was literally burnt and shriveled (see pics). There was barely any meat and what was on there was so overcooked. It tasted like beef jerky. I can't believe they would serve it like this. Giving them two stars because the loco moci my friend ordered was at least edible even though we both agreed that meat was also overcooked.. Disappointed, and if I hadn't been so jetlagged, I would have complained and demanded my money back, but at that point, I just wanted to be done and leave as I was exhausted. Maybe some of the items are better on the menu, but I would stay away from the galbi."
"Small for a lot of money and they charge extra for Masago. No small bowl option. Customer service is friendly and parking is ok. Poke tiki is 10 times better and less expensive. Second time here, will not come back."
"Lovely experience chatting with the owner and sharing experiences with her. She's kind and the food is awesome. Fresh, well prepared, and the portion is generous. Would gladly come back for my local poke fix."
"Great service and friendly staff. Food is fresh and tasty. The Hawaii island theme was nice to see. Recommendit as a local eatery. Right in the Walmart parking lot area."
"So glad I dropped by. Product quality is stellar, restaurant is clean, ordering is clear, and the staff were friendly with me. The lady in front of me was asking multiple questions and the team was patient and responded back cordially.Pricing was great for the quality you're getting."
"The cashier/server was kind. Pretty straightforward options. Limited topping options but the food was good."
"Food was ok. Just that. What I can only assume were the owners, an older couple were a bit rude. Probably a cultural thing but by the time I was paying, I wasn't happy with how gruff they both were. I tried to use a yelp check-in offer (free miso soup) and I showed it to the man and he just said NO! I again showed it to him. And the wife just said, "what type of soda do you want?"I won't be going back personally."

Holy sh** you guys. Writing this after literally only taking two bites. I'm blown away, the flavor is like sooo clean and fresh and vibrant and I think this just became my new Sunday spot. After the poke boom 10 years ago, it has been freakin hard to find a good bowl that wasn't stinky or frozen. I'm literally in awe. Don't ever change poke district. It did hurt at first paying $18 for a half/half bowl when I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I added avocado and got the lava sauce (top tier, just enough kick)But honestly, I'm obsessed and it's SO WORTH IT. Even the cucumbers were freakin delicious, I wish I got more! Currently contemplating taking home a fish only bowl to make the experience last longer. Freakin great job guys

Yesterday was our 2nd visit to 808 Local Hawaiian Grill. Daughter had enjoyed her Puaa combo plate last time and was back for more pork. Her sister wanted her to bring back a Loco Moco Lunch Plate for her. Daughter hadn't had breakfast yet because she had left the house early to take a relative to her appointment. She also wanted to order the Big Kahuna and 2 teriyaki Musubi. We arrived before the business was open. A little after 11:00 a.m. the owner came out to set up the 2 tables and 4 chairs for customers. He welcomed us in. Daughter was tempted by the fresh poke in the refrigerated case, but just went with what she originally wanted to order. Another couple did order poke after us. Owner brought out our order to us and thanked us for our patience. He also took care of the missing drink from niece's order that staff had forgotten to deliver with her 2 teriyaki Musubi. We didn't find any brown gravy in the Loco Moco lunch plate, but the plate was still tasty. The teriyaki Musubi was enjoyed for snack.

It's a small shop, but the quality is consistently good - many other poke places have come and gone while this place has been a mainstay. Lots of choices of greens/rice/proteins, and the quality of the fish is better than most other poke places, and the service is always good. Parking is terrible, but that's pretty much anywhere, but if you're in the area and in the mood for poke I certainly recommend this stop. :)

Great spot to get your poke fix! They offer the usual choices for base and protein, squid salad being a nice option that not many other poke joints offer. Besides the common topping choices, they have mango salsa and pickled onions. I'm a fan of their cucumber, which is also slightly pickled and very refreshing. Other menu options include a variety of of sushi rolls and they've recent added ramen and musubi to the line up.Service is usually quick, efficient, and friendly. If you also use the Clover App, be sure to check in and let them know at the register so that you can earn point towards a free bowl. The restaurant is always clean and is done in an industrial-hipster-casual vibe. Overall a solid place that is reasonably priced with food that hits the spot.

I got their Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Plate and it tasted like teriyaki chicken but more smoky. The salad was great, very subtle. The Rice, Mac, and Salad complimented the main dish and overall was delightful. The portion amount is solid with their prices; their prices aren't overpriced with low portions. The owner is very laid back and friendly. Great place to get a spam musubi, chicken katsu, or other Hawaiian foods!

I was previously coming back from the dentistry and I had seen this place a couple times but never had the courage to come visit it. I had seen my brother eat poke before but I had personally never tried it before. So, eventually, I just ordered some take out and when I was finished with my dentistry appointment, I made my way on over. The space was pretty quiet, and nothing too bad. I thought I'd have to wait a little longer for my order but turns out they finished 2-3 minutes earlier than what I was told on my order status (yay!). I came in and asked about my order and the person working at the front was kind enough to hand it to me and wish me off on a good day. I went home and eventually had to fight open the lid a little but it was more preferable than having it be attached loosely/lazily. I opened my poke bowl, mixed it up in the assumption that that was supposed to be what I do and took a bite. I was practically folding from how good it tasted, I think it was quite possibly the best first experience I could've ever had eating poke, and now a couple days after I'm still craving for the same order. I wasn't sure if it was missing a couple things in my order but, my list of items were pretty long and it didn't bother me all that much. It was still very good, service was nice and simple, over all a pretty decent first experience. Would come again

"Now THIS is a poke bowl! So good. Fresh-tasting and great portions. Nice little hidden gem across the street from St. Joseph hospital"
"Very low-key place that serves both poke bowls and ramen. Definitely a mom and pop shop that has pretty good food. Service was very quick at lunch time and easy. Apparently they also have online ordering which could be helpful. I also noticed their prices are pretty affordable compared to other poke places now starting to increase prices. I was pleasantly surprised how good the bowl was given it's not a super fancy place. It's kind of like a dark diner vibe with not a lot of light or modern seating. Like I said, a mom and pop shop... So don't expect fancy anything!"
"My go-to place for Poki. I like the spicy tuna.Unfortunately the parking lot is hard to maneuver and they have signs say to park head in only. Driving a truck, parking head in is a pain and the lot is tight."
"This place lives up to its name. I ordered the Poki Bomb Roll through DoorDash and I was blown away at the quality, freshness, and flavor. It even came with a mango salad, it was so crisp & delicious. At first their prices almost scared me off, but after trying it- well worth every penny. I'm so glad we tried this place. 10/10 incredible. Can't wait to try more menu items."
"Great local spot for poke and sushi rolls. The poke bowls are a good deal, solid portion size, and very filling. I love all the toppings you can choose. Fish was fresh and tasty. We also ordered two rolls, and I liked the Ignite roll best. We ordered online for pick up and it was super easy. Located on the corner of Beach & Atlanta with plenty of parking in the lot. There's also Starbucks, Walmart, Mama's, and a bunch of other options in the shopping center."
"I go here all the time for a quick and cheap lunch! Cost: great prices! I feel like it's hard to find places in 2023 where the basic rolls are under $7.Portion sizes: small but still satisfying. The customizable Poke Bowls are a medium portion for $10 and all their rolls (that I've ordered so far) come with 8 pieces instead of 6. We order 3 rolls when we get takeout and can finish it in one sitting. I've had the Pokerrito before - not big enough to have leftovers but still satisfying.Service: I haven't dined in yet, but takeout is usually fast. I recommend ordering ahead on their website. It's a mom and pop shop so if there is a rush of people, then expect a wait. That being said, I've come in during regular lunch/dinner hours and I've never seen more than 5 parties in the restaurant at a time.Ambience: very casual, not super well lit, there are boxes everywhere. Quality: 7/10, but you get what you pay for. Sometimes the rolls fall apart. Unagi is good, shrimp tempura is soggy (takeout), salmon is decent. They forgot (?) the tuna in our Jessica roll and replaced it with more salmon, so I can't speak for the tuna quality .Bottom line: It's not the most extravagant place, but it really satisfies the craving for sushi/poke at an unbeatable price."
"Located on Whittier Boulevard, in what's becoming a health trifecta of sorts (The Bee Hive, Crossfit training and Kalefornia Love are all situated within minutes of each other) this establishment brings together community, food, wellness and convenience in a nice package, with several anecdotal references to Los Angeles urban culture strewn about. It's like as if a juicer and Born X Raised brand, had a baby.I often visit after a workout and I'm thrilled to consume a healthy and fulfilling meal as to not derail what I just put into at the gym.The salads are fresh and served with ample dressing, and the juices are robust with flavor. Service is super friendly and accommodating.I usually call in my order and the food is ready within a reasonable time - not as quick as fast food, but not as long as a sit down restaurant. A comfortable in between, so call ahead if in a rush. The staff, maybe owner, appears invested in healthy eating which elevates my trust in the ingredients of the menu offerings. They also appear to have prepackaged meals and keto-friendly desserts available for carry out.Hope to see them again tomorrow!"
"This is my favorite Poke spot right by my house! They serve up generous portions of fresh seafood and delicious toppings. I recommend ordering ahead for a quick and easy pick-up. They always seem to be busy, and it's easy to understand why! Plus, their boba drinks are super yummy too!"
"Date of Visit:January 15, 2025 Selections:Poki Bowl with 3 Scoops ProteinCan of Thai Tea Experience: I have been here before, but a long time ago, so I was glad it was still here since the food options were slim after walking through the small plaza.I came in before the food rush, so I didn't have much time to mentally prepare myself to order cause poki places usually have so many options to pick from and I get overwhelmed. The staff member helping me seemed like he was in a rush to get through my order, but slowed down his pace once he realized I needed to process my options.I ended up doing a medium size poki bowl, which comes with three scoops of protein with half/half of brown rice and salad. I really did wish that they had more spicy options for protein, but ended up getting the salmon, shrimp, and shoyu salmon. The toppings were pretty slim to pick from too, but I ended up asking for spicy mayo, spicy imitation crab, edamame, green onions, pickled radish, ginger, tempura pieces, and fried onion pieces. Then I grabbed a can of Thai tea from their fridge. The food was good and I kind of wished I did two proteins instead since it was a lot of food. I definitely would choose to stick to just rice since I wasn't a big fan of the mixed greens for the salad part and would also ask for more sauce as well."
"My favorite Anaheim local poke shop. There are simply none that can compete with the flavors that poke wave provides. Only small annoyance is I personally wish their spicy sauce was spicier. I appreciate that they provide a warm miso soup with every purchase. I can't eat large portions so the smaller size is great for me - especially because no one likes to save poke bowl leftovers ;) the hosts that run them are so kind. come here and try out their bowls! You'll be coming back again for sure."
"I was stuck next door at Milan Hair Salon... with heavy aluminum foils in my hair ... starving. I called Poki Poki and spoke with Sunny who took my order via text and had the food delivered to the salon within 10minutes. I gave them a $5 tip for the quick service. I got 3 onigiris... spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and crab! They were all delicious! I would come back to order them again even if I'm not in the area for my hair care. Thanks so much Sunny!"
"My go-to's are the Crunch Bowl, Special California Roll and Tofu Veggie Bowl. All are so good and their teriyaki sauce is really good. They have a website where you can order from which makes it convenient to pick up."
"16.50 3 scoop poki bowl. Most toppings are included like Krab, only avocado is extra. We've been here a couple times and have been happy with the service and freshness. The 3 scoop bowl seems bigger to me than other places. I usually get half white rice/half salad for the base. The scoops of fish seemed pretty good. I like that the Krab and seaweed salad are included in the price. Only avocado is extra. Also they have eel sauce which I like to have drizzled on the top at the end."
"We had dinner here on Wednesday. Tons of parking in a shopping center. Quite a bit of seating inside the restaurant. The service was wonderful and they did an amazing job explaining everything. They have a lot of tea and boba drink options. We ended up with a mango black tea with lychee jelly and a black tea with lychee jelly. Both were large, delicious and refreshing. Now for the main event! We got several poke bowls. They have several options to choose from. You can build your own bowl or choose from one of the set menu items. We got a set unagi bowl. The set options only come in medium size. There was a lot of unagi in the bowl. It also came with quite a ln assortment of vegetables as well. The unagi was fatty and delicious. We also got a set beef bowl. Lots of tasty beef on a bed of rice and a good mix of vegetables. We also builbuilt a bowl. I got a large and that comes with 3 scoops of protein. I choose tuna. Salmon and albacore. I had it placed on a mix bed of white rice and mixed salad. Then went to town by having them add just about every option they had from vegetables to the various sauces. All of the bowls were delicious. We also got a couple of macaron Gelato sandwiches. We got a Thai tea and rose water. Both were great and a great way to end the meal.Large portions and friendly service make this a place ai can't wait to get back to."
"Located inside a Tustin Food Hall. Indoor/Outdoor seating. There are also ping pong tables outside and a bar inside so definitely a cool and fun place to hang out with friends.Tried the Garlic Chicken Plate and Poke Bowl (Spicy Tuna) lunch special. I appreciated that they let me substitute the rice and mac salad for all vegetables. Food was pretty good. My only issue was that there was too much sauce on the garlic chicken.Free 90 minute parking but I believe restaurants will validate if you stay over."
"Fresh poke bowls and quick, friendly service. Small area to sit inside as well. Large bowl was around $20 but has 4 selections of protein and free toppings including imitation crab. Good portion to share for 2 people! You start with selecting your base which you could select 1/2 and 1/2 or full of brown rice, white rice, or salad. For protein, I love their fresh salmon, shoyu salmon, and spicy tuna mixed with wasabi Mayo. Toppings included cucumber, corn, pineapple, seaweed, green onions, masago, and ginger. They also had dry toppings like crispy onion flakes. Overall a solid quick poke place with a great variety of toppings and fresh fish."
"This is probably one of the BEST poke places ever! I've never been to the other locations but I am so glad it is only a few minutes away from me! There is plenty of parking and it is in the same plaza as cream pan...just on the opposite side of it and in a corner .Services is too notch! I've been here twice already late at night and it is pretty empty. I chose the 2 protein and it comes with 6 sides and unlimited toppings. Usually avocado is always extra but i love that it is included in here! I usually will get salmon as my protein . They mixed it with all the sauces i wanted which was the uroko sauce, sesame oil, chili oil and spicy Mayo. Love the fried onion toppings and tempura! It totally makes it BOMB! As of now, you can check in on Yelp to claim a free miso soup with a purchase of a bowl. This is my GO TO spot for poke bowls!"
"Cassie took my order she is so sweet! The place was empty when I came in, I tried this place once before and it was pretty good! I'm not a big poke bowl person but needed something healthy to eat today. So decided on this, I got one protein, salmon and white rice with spicy crab, spicy mayo, onions, scallions and some fried onions for some texture, also some cucumbers and ginger! Very simple but delicious bowl, the salmon was a tiny bit on the fishy side but I still ate almost the entire bowl. I got my bowl quickly they have inside seating. Lots of parking it's near Albertoson's and a bank. I would come back here it's not my first choice but the service was amazing so that makes me want to come back again. Thank you for fantastic service and my delicious poke bowl.Have a beautiful day :)Aloha"
"Some of the best Poki I've had hands down. It not only looks great, but it tastes amazing. I love how fresh the fish and salad/topping items are. The service was prompt and I loved how clean and artsy the space was inside. In the City of Cypress, this may seem like a hole in the wall spot from the outside but is truly a hidden gem! I enjoy eating here and highly recommend trying this spot."
"Came back for the good sushi and this time they did not have a wait! The carpaccio sushi was good and my favorite is the Alaskan roll. I don't know if it was the food or the music but it got me vibing."
"**September 2024: Afternoon Visit**I've visited on two different occasions as I wanted something filling but also nutritious. This shops is nestled in a bustling Asian strip mall and the setting is fast casual. The first time I visit I ordered a regular (three scoops) with hula rice (purple jasmine rice) and salmon belly. I've never seen salmon belly as a protein option so I decided to get two scoops of that and one regular salmon. The salmon belly is much fattier so it has a more lush taste versus the regular salmon cut. Patrons customize the toppings and from all the poke shops that I've visited I really like the offerings of this one. The service is also kind, and fast. The shop is kind of out of the way for me since I'm not in that part of Westminster often, but if I'm in the mood for salmon belly, this is a good option, but do come early as they run out of salmon belly later in the evening. Enjoy!"
"Great poke spot! Lots of room to sit down, very different than most poke spots. They filled my bowl to the top! I got the medium but I should have opted for the small one bc I couldn't finish it all. All the toppings and fish were very fresh and there was no skimping out on any of it. My daughter loved her salmon poke bowl and like the tempura crunchies on top. This is a great spot for a group outing or even just a nice spot to sit down and enjoy some poke."
"I ordered a medium poke bowl today. Next time , I'm going to order with no spicy mayo. The spicy mayo made the bowl really filling that I could not finish it. It was big. The bowl can be finished in two meals or good for sharing with another person."
