"I came to Omeli Kitchen on Valentine's Day around 7 PM and was seated right away, even without a reservation. The restaurant was full, yet the three women running the show handled everything seamlessly. The space is a bit snug, but they make great use of it and keep it spotless.Service was great and attentive. The food was next level. Every dish had so much flavor, and the portions were generous--you'll leave feeling well-fed and already planning your next visit."
"I called ahead to put in my order. I did cover in on New Year's Day. They were open thankfully. I was greeted by the kind woman whom I had spoken with over the phone who had taken my order. It's very clean and spacious inside. Only two customers at two different booths.I had ordered the calamari, and it tasted delicious. It came with a side of sweet and sour sauce. I also ordered the house garlic noodles with grilled chicken. It came with this cilantro garlicky sauce. It was topped with parm chives and fresh garlic. It was absolutely delicious!"

"Food was delicious! We started with the heart antichuos which you have to eat right away, and was so good with the potato and corn. And, the calamar Frito, which was so good with the refreshing salad/salsa. Washed it all down with pisco sours, yum!The lomo saltado was very good, with tender meat, covered in flavorful sauce and plenty of fries and onions. The green sauce was spicier than most places. They ran out of bread. Staff was friendly, Def would come back!"
"A very tasty hole in the wall. We were looking for something casual and found this restaurant in Buena Park. Lots of parking. They were pretty understaffed but had a decent amount of customers. It was about a 15 minute wait on a Monday evening. Our server Geordan was very nice and checked on us even though he was super busy. I ordered the lomo saltado which was a skirt steak stir fry with rice, tomatoes, french fries and onions. Well seasoned and good sized portion. My brother also enjoyed their fried rice special. Their juice is okay but the platanos were good. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for a casual dine out."
"Everything we had was so delicious! We had the Ceviche Mixto and Tallarín Saltado which were beyond delicious.. my daughter had the fried fish with fries and for being a picky eater she ate every bit of it. For dessert we had the tres leches and alfajores. Service was great and the ambiance was very calm with great music and comfortable seating."
"One of the best spots in the area, (which is constantly good), Sol Inka has some great dishes. Saltado De Pollo and the Saltado De Pollo are family favorites. Also great is the Tallarin Saltado De Pollo and the Tallarin con carne. The service is friendly and helpful but it does take a bit for the kitchen to get dishes out. They may not be a great choice, if you have to be in and out in under 30 minutes. But, if you have the time, Sol Inka is an excellent spot, and they are great with large parties. Definitely worth a visit."
"We went to Higo chicken with dear friends after the movies this past weekend, and let me tell you, it knocked my socks off. For my better half and I plus our little guy we ordered:***Ceviche de Pescado: This was fish marinaded to perfection served with cooked sweet potato slices and hominy. This was very different and special.***Pollo Saltado: This was so incredibly flavorful. The only bummer was it had a whole lot of french fries and not a lot of chicken.***Side salad: This was surprisingly delightful and I would 100% order again. it was fresh and whatever the dressing was is so yummy.***Plantains: These were the perfect fried and sweet treat. We also got to try the Yucca a la Huancaina which is fried yucca with a side of cheese sauce. This was good but I don't think I'd get it again. The green sauce that they bring to the table deserves it's own paragraph. Man, that is so good. If you don't know why it's so good, please don't ask. It will ruin the illusion that this might be a healthy sauce when you learn the base ingredient. We will definitely be back!"
"Pollo Inka has been a family favorite for dinner for the longest time. My family loves Peruvian food and Pollo inka Express has been an amazing and fast spot to go pick up some delicious Peruvian delights. The way their chicken is marinated and cooked is mouth watering. Your Costco rotisserie chicken has nothing on Pollo Inkas! It pairs perfectly with their Aji green salsa which is a thick, green, delicious garlic based sauce. All of their sides are so delicious, we always get yucca frita, plantains, rice and beans. Not to mention their delicious green cilantro soup!!? Wash this all down with an Inca Kola --food coma, off to heaven shortly after. To me, Inca Kola tastes like bubblegum. I recommend trying it at least once. It's the 2 liter of bright yellow soda and you can find it here or at any latino supermarket. If you like sweets, you have to try their alfajores (little Peruvian caramel cookies) They're so soft and the best I've ever tried. I recently bought my mom some from this expensive place and they were so tiny and not as good as Pollo inkas!!!! Don't skip on these. Trust me. We will never stop craving Pollo inka and I will always highly recommend this location to anyone that's hungry and wants to try something different, with a short wait time and amazing service. Did I mention they have a drive thru??? This place is simply awesome!"

Guess who's back?! Back again! My bf and I were long overdue for a visit! Oh how we've missed this gem!Ambiance/Environment: We visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. They're still poppin as usual. They have the same warm and welcoming ambiance.Service: We were greeted once we walked in. Luckily there were a few tables open, so we were seated right away. Shout out to our server Lynn! She recommended us their new dishes, and she was courteous, quick, & efficient.Food & drinks:1) Pho Combination - I really enjoy their broth. There was a generous amount of meats. Best believe I took advantage of their unlimited noodles!2) Lobster Garlic Noodles - I looove their garlic noodles! Perfect amount of garlic to where it's not too overwhelming. The lobster was cooked & seasoned well. Just wished the portion was a bit bigger, especially for its price.3) Chicken Wings - This is one of their newer appetizers! These are Vietnamese-style chicken wings. The wings were evenly fried and coated with fish sauce. The fish sauce was absolutely flavorful!4) Green Toss - This is another one of their newer appetizers! Lynn recommended this. It is a Spring mix mixed with red wine and vinaigrette, and tossed with pine nuts, parmesan cheese, fig balsamic, & pear. Sooo delicious! Perfect light appetizer to start off with!5) Taro Coffee - They changed their coffee since last time I visited. Their Vietnamese coffee is thicker and creamier. The coffee is strong with a hint of taro taste.6) Guanabana Fruit Tea - aka soursop fruit. This was a very refreshing juice!

I went there for a late lunch takeout. Lots of parking. The restaurant is a bit rundown and the decor is clean but a bit worn. The inside is cavernous. There removed the counter to give it an open appearance. The service is good and very helpful. I ordered the garlic noodles and grilled shrimp. Very well seasoned, fresh and well prepared. The prices were very reasonable. A couple next to me was having the Lomo Salgado and the Bone in Short Rib Pho that looked delicious. I think it would be worth it to come back to try it. Overall, I would rate the experience as good.

I love Peruvian food but hadn't been to Inka Cantina in years. I came back with a small group for a friend's birthday dinner. 1/2 of the group had not been here or ever had Peruvian cuisine. Inka Cantina has a great menu with lots of options for everyone it's hard to pick one to try but the fan favorites are noted on the menu with a Llama. I'm not sure the menu on the website is up to date as I don't see the entrees we ordered nor did we take pictures but we ordered a chicken entree, 2 beef entrees and a vegetarian entree. The meals are served with bread and their delicious and spicy Aji sauce. Not everyone could handle the spice of their Aji sauce but everyone loved their dishes and had some leftovers. Their portions are decent size but in comparison to some other great Peruvian restaurants I've been to were somewhat small portions. One person in our party of 4 ordered extra rice as that portion is small. There was plenty of seating available when we went with no reservation. It is conveniently located in a shopping center in Fountaij Valley and is a must try!

Aji Limon is located in Buena Park and it's one of those places that is hidden. Overall the location is pretty SUS because there is a lot of transient activity ! When you come in the service is super nice you are greeted with the most helpful servers ! Overall the food is pretty tasty I have been there multiple times and you can taste the quality. The price point is somewhat medium to high but your paying for what you get overall if your around the area check them out

The food was great, really hit the spot. And the staff were so nice and welcoming! I also enjoyed the music they were playing; it had a cool vibe. Everything was pretty good, no complaints here. Definitely a decent place to grab a bite.

I am updating my review since it's been a few years since my first one. This is still my favorite place for Lomo Saltados. They are perfection. The house made fries really set this place above the rest. Service is also good, too. Ambiance is casual, but they play fun music and have cocktails. You are no longer allowed to bring your own bottle of wine. That's okay, since the sangria is amazing. Next time, I'd like to try the calamari. Every table was ordering it. Our server told us service has been a bit slow. We can't let anything happen to this place. In this economy, it is still very reasonably priced. Come out and support.

Higo Chicken is my top favorite, go-to Japanese Peruvian spot in La Habra. You'll find this fantastic restaurant nestled in the far corner of a tiny plaza on 722 E Whittier Blvd. The inside of Higo Chicken holds a handful of tables in a welcoming, simple, pastel colored interior. Equally as pleasant has been the greeting and service of the staff during my visits. FOOD:True to its name, their rotisserie chicken is a headliner on the menu. The chicken skin is beautifully roasted which gives it a bit of smokiness to accent the enticing medley of seasoning. The meat is wonderfully succulent as well. Drizzle on their aji verde sauce (cilantro, garlic, lime, chilies, etc.) to enhance the chicken with a zesty, aromatic heat. You can get a whole, half, or quarter size with a side of your choice. I got their Tallarin Verde con Pollo a la Brasa ($14) - it comes with a quarter chicken piece and a spaghetti with cheese, basil sauce, and spinach. I'm hungry just recalling about it. I appreciate it came with a complimentary Papa a la Huancaina - potato with a spicy cheese sauce. Their Lomo Saltado ($19) is also very solid with thick fries, chunks of steak, and grilled onions & tomatoes. I've taken a couple of friends and have turned them into fans of this place. Definitely give this place a visit!

"This place never disappoints. Fast friendly service and warm fluffy bread that melts in your mouth!"
"I waited a long time to try Sushi Nikkei! It was amazing both times. I love the interior the wall paintings & light fixtures - but of course the food is the most amazing. When we ordered, we were told they could add a half order to anything with only two pieces as there were 3 in our party. That was appreciated as we could all try everything. I loved the Aji Amarillo & Parrillera sauces. They were both delicious and added to the sushi they were on. My favorite was the Rock Shrimp appetizer the truffle oil gave the tempura a great added flavor AND the Acebichado Roll was also amazing! The Peruvian sushi is beauitiful and so good - love the presentation. Overall, food was excellent - service was great. The only misstep was speed of service. We ordered everything together on our first time and our table was crammed with dishes. I prefer when the meal is more paced out, soo you can enjoy each course. On our second trip, we paced our order so we weren't overwhelmed."
"My wife and I came to Whittier awhile back for lunch and came across Baileys when looking for food in the area. We are fans if Lomo Saltado and Peruvian food and managed to find a parking spot on the curb right across the street. The building itself was quite run down on the outside and at first glance I was unsure if they were even open. Upon glance into the front door a little further down we saw that they were and made our way inside. The inside was quaint and had quite a minimalistic type decor to it. We were quickly taken to a table for two and then we sat, and sat and sat some more waiting to order. I would understand if the place was busy but we were there and only one other table of 2 was present. After waiting almost 10+ minutes for help, we finally had ordered and began the second period of waiting for the food. Luckily for us the food came out a bit quicker and the portions were quite large. Thankfully the flavor was on point, albeit a bit too salty and bot of us seemed to enjoy the food and even had a little bit more to take home to finish later. I can say if the service was a bit quicker and friendlier this review would be higher but for the food alone this was a solid choice and a great Peruvian option. I would come back again and see if a 2nd visit would be a bit better in the service department. If you like Peruvian cuisine then check it out if you are in the Uptown Whittier area."
"Arrived on a Friday evening. It was located in a strip center, so parking was complimentary and plentiful. The eatery reminded me more of a fast-food restaurant. Place your order at the counter and take a seat in the small dining room. We were hungry, so we ordered two entrees. Lomo saltado and the Jalea Marsico's. The seafood arrived first and consisted of fish, shrimp, squid, octopus, and yucca. This reminded me more of an appetizer, although it was large enough for probably three people to share. The lomo saltado arrived shortly after, but the beef was tough, lacked flavor, and was disappointing. I was surprised since most of the reviews spoke highly of this.Service was average, and female at the counter was not welcoming and friendly - maybe she was having an off day?I wouldn't go out of my way to return here with so many other options in the area, not to mention the prices were high for the quality of food and service I received."
"Stopped by with my coworkers earlier this week to try this spot and I'm so glad we did! Most of us were all quite new to Peruvian cuisine and wanted to try more of it so we picked this spot for lunch. Maybe it was because it was the day after Christmas, but it wasn't packed inside. They have a couple of tables for indoor casual dining so we opted to dine in instead of taking it to go. They have a wide selection of items in their menu but best of all, they have a lunch special menu. You'll see some Peruvian Chinese style dishes such as wontons and fried rice. There were too many delicious looking items on the menu so it took us awhile to figure out what we wanted to try. Portions are very generous here so we'll definitely be back another day to try out more items on their menu.|| L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G ||-Cross Streets are N Harbor Blvd and Las Palmas Dr.-Located in the same plaza strip as Akafuji, Pirate's Kitchen, Furai Chicken, Egg Bred and more!-Small parking lot in the front facing N.Harbor Blvd side but there are more spots in the back. The only downside is that the back parking lot is not connected to the front, so you'd have to go all the way around to reach the back lot.|| F O O D / D RI N K S ||Ceviche de Pescado (Lunch Special - $14.95) - The lunch special comes with a canned drink of choice with daily special soup. I believe the soup we got was the aguadito de pollo and it was such a comforting chicken soup with rice. For complimentary soup, they actually included lots of chicken and rice. I needed something on the lighter side after eating so heavy for the holidays so I opted for the Ceviche. The white fish was fresh and I liked the tangy juice, which was packed with so much flavor, paired so well with the sweet potato and the lime cured white fish. It was such a refreshing dish!Lomo Saltado Empanada ($5.95) - I've never seen a lomo saltado empanada so I knew I had to try it out. Plus, I thought the portion sizes for lunch specials would be smaller so I thought I better get an extra something to satiate my hunger. I didn't end up eating this on the spot, but when I took it home to eat for dinner, it was still pretty good! The filling was super flavorful and I liked that the skin of the empanada wasn't overly thick.Chicha Morada - I almost mistook it for jamaica due to the similar color. My coworker decided to order a pitcher so all of us at the table could try it. It's a fruity and sweet drink with hints of cinnamon. It was quite refreshing!"
"Disappointed in the fact I was charged an 18% in house dinning fee. That is a lot of money to charge customers on top of the 3% credit card fee and the state taxes. I don't recall seeing this posted anywhere prior to eating but it's possible it may have been in small letters and I just missed it. When I asked the server she said it includes gratuity but the receipt to sign also had the tipping line so?! This needs to be disclosed in a better manner to ensure the customers know what they are getting themselves into simply for dining in.With that being said, the food was good and the location inside is beautiful. I really enjoyed my Lomo saltado. I love Peruvian food, just bummed at the total cost and fees of everything. Service was decent. The waitress seemed to be serving the whole restaurant by herself and was very busy."
"So glad to have found this restaurant for authentic Peruvian food. Their Lomo Saltado tasted delicious! It satisfied my craving for Peruvian food. It costed $21.99 which I think was more than worth it. Their green sauce is AMAZING. I poured every ounce of it on my plate. I would 11/10 come back again!"
"Arrived at 810 and were told they close at 830 So signs are wrong post, say 9pm. The food was good, a little blend. But overall, the place is a bit rundown, but the server was nice, but you could see she wanted to get homeOverall, I would not visit again"
"I came here with coworkers for lunch on a day I was craving Peruvian food. This is a great restaurant from the art of the walls to the great food. Of course I did the llomo saltado. They do the plate really good here. The green sauce makes it all the better! Don't forget to order yourself a inka cola to go with your meal. The service was great and the food came out at a relatively good time. We left more than satisfied. Absolutely delicious."
"Peruvian cuisine is known for its diverse flavors, blending indigenous ingredients and techniques with influences from Spanish, African, and Asian cultures. First time customer and I am impressed the food was amazing and the flavors were perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant its an excellent choice!"
"I was able to find exactly what I was looking for! They had my size in most of the shoes I liked!"
"After two decades of being a loyal customer, my apologies for the delayed review - blame it on my love for their food!Without fail, I always order the pescado macho; its delightful flavor is thanks to the savory aji Amarillo cream sauce. A seafood extravaganza with shrimp, calamari, octopus, mussels, all crowned with a crispy fish filet - definitely a must-try!The Lomo Saltado is a Peruvian classic that never disappoints. To kick things off, they serve warm bread with two fantastic sauces. My personal favorite is the red, while my mom swears by the green - we love them both equally. The recent remodel is stunning, and the staff matches the beauty. A heartfelt thank you - I'll keep coming back for the delicious food and quality service!"
