"Medii Kitchen had been bookmarked for several years before trying it for the first time last year. Everything looked so interesting yet very delicious and I have not had anything like it before!We went on a random weekday morning right when they opened up so the place was empty. We were greeted and seated right away.Here's what we ordered:**Cheese Boreg: Very delicious! The puff pastry was nice and fluffy with a cheese filling. It was airy enough but filled with a perfect amount of cheese. It was served piping hot and tasted really fresh. (5/5)**Soujoukh Panini: One of the most interesting sandwiches I've ever had. It was sweet, salty, and savory. The fries were also crispy and very delicious. (5/5)**Chicken Shawerma Wrap: A very solid shawerma wrap with a simple side salad. (5/5)The appetizer we were served was absolutely delicious. The pita chips and tapenade were one of the best thing I've had in a very long time.The service was great in the beginning. We dined alone for the first half of our meal but two more tables filled up for rest of the duration. Near the end when we were waiting on our check, the two ladies working the front would not stop looking at their phones while chitchatting with their backs turned toward us. Another 5 minutes go by and we were finally able to wave our server down. Besides that one hiccup, Medii Kitchen is a restaurant everyone should try at least once in their lifetime!"

"If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. My absolute favorite Arab bakery in the OC! They have the best baked goods, pastries, and flatbreads that give you a taste of the Middle East and teleport you as if you were "back home."Our go-to's are the manaeesh with zaatar, egg/cheese, and lahme (minced meat). They come with a side of pickles and olives for the perfect touch. And you can't forget the tea with fresh mint leaves to wash it all down. The owner is extremely friendly and knows his regular's very well. It's usually busy, but time's I have gone we are eating within 15 minutes of ordering. The walls are painted with pictures encompassing the Middle Eastern culture and people, and truly make you feel you are in another world. It is a mainstay for Arabs all throughout OC, and a must try if ever in Anaheim's "little Arabia" on Brookhurst St."

"Another hidden gem in a strip mall, this time in Cypress. The outside looks older and the menus/signs not well maintained, but don't let that deter you from trying Mama's Kabab. Ordered the combo plate with salad which had kafta kebab, chicken kebab and I think beef shawarma with a generous serving of salad and hummus as well as pita and garlic sauce. The chicken and beef were both fantastic; both tasty and tender. The only complaint I have is the kafta kebab was a little overcooked and thus dry. The pita was okay but also a little dry.Reasonable price for a generous portion. Team is quiet but welcoming. Would definitely come back if in the area."

The Ambiance inside feels like home with well decorated walls and fresh plants. The Service is great... the waiter explains what their popular ones, the owner was actually watering the plants that is so awesome like everyone just helps each other. I and husband will definitely come back here again and spread the word! "The ingredients here are so fresh, and the chicken was grilled beautifully. I got a bowl with half greens, half white rice, paprika chicken, an assortment of veggies, three dips, and topped it off with sumac and roasted chickpeas. I'm sorry the picture isn't super aesthetic, as I started eating before I took the picture. The roasted chickpeas were so delicious - crunchy and somehow slightly chewy at the same time. It feels like cava but more authentic when it comes to the ingredients and spices. The lady serving us was very kind and helpful as well. There's three tables inside the restaurant, so not too much seating just fyi. I'll be coming back again soon!"

"I recently discovered the beauty of lamhajuns from other bakeries, and I was excited to try them here! They were tasty as expected, and I love that they are a light and affordable snack. We also tried the khachapuri, spinach boreg, and zaatar manaish. The khachapuri was light in flavor so we needed to add some salt and pepper. I appreciated that it was a good, simple pastry. The zaatar manaish has a fluffier dough and is drier than the lahmajun. It's good on its own, but I could see myself adding cheese to it since that seems like a good pairing. The man at the cashier is so friendly and makes you feel welcomed. The parking lot is tiny, but we've been lucky to find parking easily on our visits."

(Just the other week, I had Mediterranean down the street - which I will not name the restaurant, the to-go portion was like a child's meal and it cost me in the $20's for an entrée and the quality was not even up there.) I had the Charbroiled Chicken Shish Kabob and the chicken pieces were very tender and I loved the grilled vegetables. The Mediterranean Greek Salad was fresh and very tasty. I do wish the pita bread in the Humus Trio was a bit warmer, but it probably got cold as it was sitting on the table, outside on the patio.Everything tasted delicious (quality) and we all had food (to share) or for dinner. I would most definitely return and try the many other dishes that caught my eye. Great place to meet up with friends and catch up as well. Service is a bit on the younger side, but they are very kind. Due to the smaller storefront, I see why there could be a wait for a table, so expect a wait during busy times. Parking can also be a bit difficult with the amount of storefronts in this plaza."

We were coming here after walking the SFS Swap Meet for hours, so we were hungry and the food and portion size did not disappoint.We ordered the falafel plate, tabbouleh salad, grape leaves, and a cucumber yogurt salad. The pickled vegetables were crisp and fresh. The grape leaves were tart and bright and the falafel was crispy on the outside and steamy on the inside without being too greasy. My partner ordered the falafel salad which was full of flavor also. Falafel isn't dry and not overly oily or heavy dressing. It came with a basket of pita bread huge portion. Both plates were good--he said the rice was good, not great. I subbed the rice for salad which I enjoyed. Also subbed the hummus for tzatziki which I'm happy about. It was so good. Make sure to ask for their garlic sauce--tasty! The chicken was juicy and tender; the gyro meat was less exciting but did not lack in flavor. One ask would be to add a combo plate so you can try different proteins, but it worked out for us since we were able to trade. Dolmas were tasty."

"What a lovely place to grab and bite. Sit down or take it to go, the food is great, reasonably priced and worth every bite! Especially for weekends they have a kids eat free, so after a fun day at the mall stop by with the family! I truly appreciate the staff and their patience since it was my first time here and there are so many options. You can do a wrap, bowl or plate and there are many wonderful combinations that I wish I could have tried all in one go. But I decided on a grilled chicken bowl with fries and rice, and all that comes with. I did get to try all the sauces and let me say YUM. There are plenty seating options and self service for utensils, fountain drinks and sauce. The time i visited it was not super busy but as I ate many families and others came to dine in or grab pick up. It's a lively atmosphere and the playlist was on point that day. ++ After eating I felt full of energy in the best way, the portions and flavors just have you feeling great and excited for the next visit at this establishment! Overall 10/10."

So I thought this Cerritos location should be very good too.On a weekend afternoon, the parking in the plaza where this restaurant shares w/several other businesses is super busy! Cars eagerly await other cars to exit. The front of the house welcomed us but, chose to seat us right next to another family only separated by the glass wall. We opted to move to another table and there were plenty of other tables available.The starter pita bread and hummus was tasty and the hubby got their namesake panini. He liked what he got. I liked my salad and falafel wrap. Just wasn't wowed by anything we ordered. The DTLA location is definitely superior to this one.Just OK at 3 stars and probably would not return to this one."

"Nice place, the outdoor area and bathroom are aesthetically pleasing. The service was good and I enjoyed sitting by their fire pits under heat lamps as well. I stayed warm throughout my hookah session with my best friend. The down side is they have these paper thin cushions to sit on their marble seating and after thirty minutes, it becomes uncomfortable to sit there. We wound up gathering a few cushions of stack on top of each other just to relieve the pain. I hope they buy new cushions for their outdoor patio. The hookah flavor was picked by the worker because we couldn't make up our mind and it was good. I will probably return again if I'm in the area."

It is also next to a popular restaurant that I used to go to(Everyday Eatery) who got rid of their vegan options (what shame!) so I didn't go back to that restaurant nor this shopping center. Wow, now Sajj will be my favorite place to go to, here. It is a 'Chipotle' style for Mediterranean food. I know it is a fast food but it is much healthier than most. There are lots of vegan options(marked with a 'V'). A bowl with rice or salad, a wrap, or a pita sandwich is the option for vegans, with Falafels. The price is $11.75 for any of the style. I picked vegan bowl with rice then add eggplant ragout, sumac cauliflower, hummus, cucumbers tomatoes mix, cherry peppers mix, lettuce, and spicy tahini sauce on top. One can add many more from the table that is marked with a 'V' and there are a lot. The rice was tumeric rice. I sprinkled some sumac on top. The lentil soup is included with it. For $11.75 it is a huge deal! I could not finish this bowl as it is a lot of food. There were 4 falafels! These falafels are one of the best I have tried.Unfortunately there is only 1 in SoCal. It is a fast food chain or franchise restaurant and started in Northern California. We need more! Thank you so much for providing so many vegan options. My recommendation is not to go during meal times as it can be crowded. The line never stopped when I was there. It is so popular. The parking can be hard to get too during meal times too. So after 1 pm would be best."

We decided to order ahead of time and walk over to pick it up since we live fairly close by. The restaurant itself was surprisingly super clean. We did arrive a bit early so our food wasn't ready, but that wasn't their fault. The guy that was working finished up with the walk in customer who was already there and quickly went to prepare our food. Before handing our order to us, he even read back our entire order as he was packaging it - great, friendly customer service. When we got home, the food portions were plentiful and we were ready to dig in. Boyfriend ordered the Chicken and Beef Steak Kabob entree and I got a wrap with Lemon Artichoke Hummus, Spring Mix, Pesto Chicken Shawarma, Sumac Onions, Tabbouleh, Pickled Beets, Cucumbers, Lemon and Olive Oil, and White Garlic Sauce. We also ordered a side of their Pita Bread with 3 hummus's (Feta, Traditional and another one that had some spice). And omg, everything was bursting with flavor and we were so happy haha. Because how can you not be when you're eating yummy food? We will most definitely be coming back here to try more items on their menu. Very happy we found this gem so close to home."

The decor is refined and includes white tablecloths and sharply dressed servers. Chandeliers, crystal and flowers on the tables.I ordered a glass of Shiraz, the Lamb Kebobs with rice and salad. The food was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I am a slow drinker, so the server came over to ask me if I was enjoying the wine and if not, he'd happily exchange it for me. "Everything here is so good and flavorful. Even the classic hummus is super delicious. You choose from chicken, beef and falafel as your protein, then if you want a bowl, or wrap. The regular size bowl is only a dollar more than the small, so it just makes the most sense to get that one. You definitely get the most bang for your buck that way. And don't forget the baklava!"
