"We're new to the area and found this place based on other Yelp reviews. We decided to order takeout from here for our visiting family, who are all pretty particular about Persian food, and it was a hit. We ordered the family combo for 4 people and were impressed by the generous portion sizes. The koobideh kabob (ground beef) was delicious, the barg kabob (filet) was very tender and juicy, and we all really liked the chicken tender and chicken koobideh as well. The rice portion was extremely large, I felt bad because we wasted so much of it. My only complaint is that the yogurt sides we ordered we were very small, probably meant for 1-2 people, not a family of 8. I wish they would have told me that over the phone so I would've ordered more, or at least offered a larger size for the yogurt sides. Overall their food was delicious and good quality, we will order from here again!"

Service was good and the space was clean with a modern casual vibe but I expected something much better food-wise. "Not my first time at a CAVA but my first time to this one. For those that don't know, CAVA is like a Mediterranean Chipotle. You start with a bowl or Pita and then you pick a base like rice or lettuce, a protein like Chicken or Falafel, some topping and sauces like Hummus, Garlic Sauce, Cucumber, corn, etc. They have a lot of things to choose from.Service here is relatively quick since everything is pre-cooked like Chipotle and there isn't much interaction with the staff after you get your food. Utensils are by the side of the Soda/Fountain Drinks and you have to get that yourself. The interior of this place is very nice and modern. They keep the seats and tables relatively clean. However it's really really cold inside. I recommend bringing a jacket. Even though it was 60 outside, it was freezing cold inside.The food itself is good, if you're not into pickled stuff, try to avoid anything with vinegar. As you can tell from my picture, the bowl isn't really full. It's not packed and that's about the only con -- portion size. I wish they would just be more generous with the rice since it's just cheap filler. The parking lot is pretty big and shared with a few other businesses. I didn't have much issue finding a spot since there's so many. Overall, recommend! Would give it a 5/5 if I didn't leave hungry still."

"My first time visiting, I arrived at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday and was the first patron. I was there for dinner specifically as a friend recommend I try this place. The food was fine... average to be honest. Compared to other mediterranean establishments i've dined at, i've had better food. My biggest gripe was the service. NON EXISTENT. After they take your order, then they never check on you. Then they drop your dish and never return or ask if you need anything. I sat there parched needing water most of my visit. They we're not busy by any means so I can't give them the benefit of that. I actually say my original waiter smoking hookah and laughing with friends at another table. I finally flagged down the busser to bring water for the table (which was $3 bottles) and the bill too. This place in my opinion is better served as a lounge or hookah bar, rather than full service restaurant. I will not be returning."

Chicken Kebabs Grilled perfectly and seasoned well it comes with rice a small salad and hummus and pita it's very good and that salad dressing is the bomb I'd suggest you buy an extra one and eat it with the chicken this meal was a 8/10 it was so good I ate all of the salad and had a lot of rice and chicken leftover. Hummus delicious but the pita bread is mid and not homemade it will do but I prefer it made fresh. 7/10 Strawberry cheesecake Delicious very buttery crust and soo good. Side salad I ordered a larger one to go and bought an extra salad dressing that was divine it's a yogurt based garlicky sauce and I love it. Green sauce For dipping the chicken in this one is tasty. Tsaziki sauce Creamy garlicky and soo bomb I always buy extra. I definitely recommend that you give them a try there's so much more on that menu grilled salmon beef kebabs falafel gyros and more. We got here a little before noon and not long after, the line was out the door. So I guess good word of advice is to arrive early! The food was amazing - everybody loved what they ordered. Gyro wrap does have raw onions in it and it was too spicy for one of my co workers, so if you are sensitive to raw onions, would be good to ask for no onions or remove it when you eat it. Anyways, both coworkers who ordered the gyro wraps said they had really good flavor. Chicken shish kabob - coworker said meat was extremely tender and flavorful with the hummus. And my koobideh combo plate - both chicken and beef were tender with amazing flavors. Overall, glad we decided to give this place a try. We will definitely come back to try more items from their menu!"

It is also next to a popular restaurant that I used to go to(Everyday Eatery) who got rid of their vegan options (what shame!) so I didn't go back to that restaurant nor this shopping center. Wow, now Sajj will be my favorite place to go to, here. It is a 'Chipotle' style for Mediterranean food. I know it is a fast food but it is much healthier than most. There are lots of vegan options(marked with a 'V'). A bowl with rice or salad, a wrap, or a pita sandwich is the option for vegans, with Falafels. The price is $11.75 for any of the style. I picked vegan bowl with rice then add eggplant ragout, sumac cauliflower, hummus, cucumbers tomatoes mix, cherry peppers mix, lettuce, and spicy tahini sauce on top. One can add many more from the table that is marked with a 'V' and there are a lot. The rice was tumeric rice. I sprinkled some sumac on top. The lentil soup is included with it. For $11.75 it is a huge deal! I could not finish this bowl as it is a lot of food. There were 4 falafels! These falafels are one of the best I have tried.Unfortunately there is only 1 in SoCal. It is a fast food chain or franchise restaurant and started in Northern California. We need more! Thank you so much for providing so many vegan options. My recommendation is not to go during meal times as it can be crowded. The line never stopped when I was there. It is so popular. The parking can be hard to get too during meal times too. So after 1 pm would be best."

Both plates were good--he said the rice was good, not great. I subbed the rice for salad which I enjoyed. Also subbed the hummus for tzatziki which I'm happy about. It was so good. Make sure to ask for their garlic sauce--tasty! The chicken was juicy and tender; the gyro meat was less exciting but did not lack in flavor. One ask would be to add a combo plate so you can try different proteins, but it worked out for us since we were able to trade. Dolmas were tasty."

I got a bowl with half greens, half white rice, paprika chicken, an assortment of veggies, three dips, and topped it off with sumac and roasted chickpeas. I'm sorry the picture isn't super aesthetic, as I started eating before I took the picture. The roasted chickpeas were so delicious - crunchy and somehow slightly chewy at the same time. It feels like cava but more authentic when it comes to the ingredients and spices. The lady serving us was very kind and helpful as well. There's three tables inside the restaurant, so not too much seating just fyi. I'll be coming back again soon!"

"Medmix is a place where you can get some Hookah, Mediterranean food and drinks all at once. They have a good sized outside seating area and a good variety of items to select for. While the selection and area looked good, the food, hookah and everything was just ok as well. I had ordered the Al Fakher Mint, and a Beef Shawerma which comes with fries as well and a pot of Mint Tea. They also have heaters outside during the cold season. The Hookah was fine but there was a little bit of an after taste from the previous hookah which just means they don't wash inside the stem or change the water but it was still better than some of the other places. The Shawerma was good in flavor but the meat was a little too dry. Now I believe the reason is also because on a Thursday at around 9pm we were the only people sitting there so things may not have been fresh as nothing was being ordered. But at the end of the day everything was just good, so around the industry average mark in my opinion."

I grew up just down the street from this spot, but they unfortunately opened right when I moved out for college. Thankfully, my mom introduced us to this wonderful spot just recently! I'll for sure be back again when I visit my hometown.~ FLAVOR TOWN ~This spot deserves 5 stars for several reasons. One of them is that the dishes are super FLAVORFUL and the SERVINGS are HUGE. I got the FALAFEL SANDWICH and every bite was just spot on. I also snuck in a few bites of the fresh SAJ BREAD and dipped it in HUMMUS from my husband's plate. You can tell that everything was made fresh. They really got the balance of flavors right with every single dish.~ FRIENDLY STAFF ~I'm a little surprised to see some of the negative reviews here. We experienced nothing but friendly and accepting vibes from the staff. We had a chance to mingle with one of the owners and he even hooked us up with some fresh not-so-MINI ZAIT. We had two courses. The chicken and beef were both fantastic; both tasty and tender. The only complaint I have is the kafta kebab was a little overcooked and thus dry. With the cooler weather, 2 (out of 3) of us also asked for hot water with lemon, which they also never refilled... good thing I had water in my bag as I was getting thirsty. When the entrees were brought out, I was surprised at the portions! Those are not 1-person entrees, they are totally shareable and I was amazed at the affordability of it! (Just the other week, I had Mediterranean down the street - which I will not name the restaurant, the to-go portion was like a child's meal and it cost me in the $20's for an entrée and the quality was not even up there.) I had the Charbroiled Chicken Shish Kabob and the chicken pieces were very tender and I loved the grilled vegetables. The Mediterranean Greek Salad was fresh and very tasty. I do wish the pita bread in the Humus Trio was a bit warmer, but it probably got cold as it was sitting on the table, outside on the patio.Everything tasted delicious (quality) and we all had food (to share) or for dinner. I would most definitely return and try the many other dishes that caught my eye. Great place to meet up with friends and catch up as well. Service is a bit on the younger side, but they are very kind. Due to the smaller storefront, I see why there could be a wait for a table, so expect a wait during busy times. Parking can also be a bit difficult with the amount of storefronts in this plaza."

"Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I was in the area for an appointment and wanted something quick to pick up and share with my toddler. This was perfect. I enjoy Mediterranean food so this hit the spot. I created my own bowl and decided on a wrap for my MIL to share with my BIL. You can choose half and half on the protein, add on as much or as little veggies, and top it with your favorite hummus or salad. Service was friendly. They were busy making online orders but took the time to explain everything to me. I'll be back!"
