Yan L. "Over 10 years later and happy to see this restaurant still here and even busier than before. I came on a Friday evening and there was a short wait for a party of 2. Service was great and food was amazing.Hamburg curry - reminded me of Japan. I do wish the curry was a little spicier but it hit the spot. Added eggplant and green beans to it as well and they also have a lot of other toppings to choose from. Tonkatsu side - crust was crispy, but I felt some sides were a little too thick. Meat was juicy and tender. I was surprised and would get this again. Basil Udon - basil sauce was exactly what I imagined it to taste like and it was so good! I just couldn't finish all of it because there was too much sauce and not enough tomato sauce to balance the flavors."

Daniel A. "Got there right before the rush. We had a great server who had some good recommendations and was very attentive. I needed veggie ramen to get over a cold. Vegetable Miso Ramen hit the spot! Came out nice and hot. Wife got the same but added chicken broth for a change in flavor. We got a side of rice for the kiddos and Naruto buns (my kid ate the bun and left the rest for us). Nice spot, with good service, my wife and kids all felt satisfied."

Randi B. "Heck yes! I personally have never cared for Japanese Curry, but my husband wanted to come here for lunch, so I went along with it. Glad I did!He had the Chicken Katsu Curry. It was a massive bowl with so much curry sauce in it, rice, juicy chicken, and pickled radish. We both loved it! I don't know what was different about this curry, almost like it was sweeter than others I have had? Whatever it was, it was delicious, and I am now a fan of Japanese curry, or at least the one at Curry Do.I had the Shrimp Tempura Curry Udon. YUM! The shrimp were just out of the fryer so they were burning hot. They were super crispy and stayed pretty crunchy even though they were on top of soup. Shrimp was delish, the udon noodles were perfectly cooked with a nice chew to them, and the curry broth was so nice on a cold day. This also had the pickled radishes and I could not get enough of them!Service was fast, we were in and out in about 30 minutes. Lunch was just under $40 for the two of us, I will definitely be back to Curry Do!"

Carrie N. "We've driven by so many times, and say we wanted to try Kikyo- finally! We stopped and so glad that we did!Very fresh sushi, excellent service, even though they were super busy! And they had the games on! Although we were only in for a quick bite, they were extremely busy! And service was on par! Everyone was getting their food on time, especially us. And we enjoyed every bite that we had.We will definitely be back when my mom is in town. She will definitely enjoy the miso soup. There was one thing we were disappointed with is that if you see any pictures in the menu that have Bento boxes they do not have these at dinner time. (I believe this is a lunchtime thing.)"

Aaron L. "Came here for spam misubi, that's literally it. So glad this place does not add bonito flakes, as that's not for me. Spam was $7.88 for two pieces, a bit pricey, but fantastic. Rice was portioned well. Seaweed was tasty. Perfect 5 out of 7. Will return."

Genezaret C. "Cece in the front kindly greeting customers, bringing out food and taking orders. There isn't a lot of room for big groups inside but we managed to get a table. I ordered the Chicken Veggie Ramen with a boiled egg added. They charge .50 for chili oil. Also the last call for dine is 10:30pm since they close at 11:30. Also, a 15% tip is automatically added to your bill. They sell macaroon ice cream sandwiches! Definitely recommend this ramen spot for a chilly day."

Novia E. "Hidden gem alert! Not only it tastes authentic, they are really good and I can't wait to come back. The pork Katsu is juicy and curry is not too overpowering. I ordered the nonspicy one , but it doesn't give me a bland flavor like other places I've been too.The place is small and intimate, reminds me of most restaurants in Japan. The staff are nice and fast as well. Highly recommend to try this hidden gem!"

Nick P. "Newest addiction! We are obsessed with the beef belly curry from here. The beef is extra tender and they make sure to load your bowl with plenty of it. The curry is savory and pairs perfectly with the beef belly and rice. Great bang for the buck. You can easily make two meals out of a single order. Love it here!!"

Amara H. "BEST CURRY KATSU EVER. My boyfriend and I love coming here because they have the most amazing, delicious, unforgettable chicken curry katsu. The curry is sweet and flavorful, with no chopped up vegetables or excess food (which is how we like it) and the katsu itself is very crispy and tender. We crave it almost every week and it's definitely one of our go-to spots. The staff is always friendly and there are definitely more than enough seats to choose from so you can comfortably devour this delectable meal. It may be a bit of a wait sometimes but that's only because the katsu is cooked to order so that it can be warm and fresh for the customers. I can't explain how scrumptious this dish is so you MUST try it for yourself!ALSO if you want to take it to go, the boxes work cost you an extra 25¢ I believe. AND if you're planning on getting a refreshment like water or soda, don't forget to add it to your meal before you pay because they don't accept transactions under $5. Just a heads up!"

Kz Mori

Ian A. "Without the curry, the katsu is... bad. It's flavorless, crunchy protein pieces. However, something magical and delicious occurs once Kz Mori's curry drenches its katsu. The curry is creamy, peppery, and well-spiced. It's bliss. If you love curry, I easily recommend Kz Mori!I ordered the Mix Katsu Combo ($19.99). It contains curry sauce, cabbage salad, miso soup, rice, and katsu. If you're familiar with Hawaiian Katsu chain restaurants, Kz Mori's portions can't compare. The Mix Katsu Combo is enough for a day; however, it won't feed you for several. Also, as mentioned prior, the katsu (by itself) is bland. Its breading is thin and crunchy, but the protein felt squishy like a microwaved meatball. I stared unimpressively at the chunk.But... magic happened. I looked in amusement as the spongey chunk hungrily absorbed the creamy, peppery curry sauce. Then, I bit. My eyes widened. Yum!!The crisp breading of the katsu and the creamy, hot curry sauce caused a harmonious kick of flavor. That once dry katsu now felt moist, almost juicy. And I relished that lingering, playful burn in the back of my throat. Absolutely delish!! I arrived at Kz Mori (West Covina) on a weekday (around 11AM, opening time). Several more elderly patrons had already lined up! I overheard them say "it so good" to one another. I observed many more customers joining the line. Staff is courteous and quick. After ordering at the counter, I was given a food pager/beeper to notify me when it's ready. After eight minutes and 48 seconds, the beeper began to chime like an alarm clock and shake. The order was bagged up and handed over.Kz Mori is located within the Haven City Market plaza. It's loud inside. The music echoed dance-pop music (song example: Safe and Sound). The interior contains strong ventilation; it felt almost windy and chilly within the building. There are plenty of clean tables and seats inside and outside. I chose to eat outdoors for warmth, and I easily found a shady table. The ambiance felt cozy and safe, and I appreciated how the music speakers also played outdoors as-well.Overall, Kz Mori serves phenomenal curry. The flavors (when all meshed together) created a blissful harmony. In the end, Kz Mori surpassed all my expectations. Phenomenal, memorable experience."

Lydia B. "I wish this was a sit down place! We called to see what the situation was when we arrived, the worker was really nice and explained how to order, he even texted the link over. It's a really cool concept to order and pick up in a locker style drop box though. You place your order online, once it is ready, you scan your order screen on a tablet and the door pops open. The wait was not long at all at 10:30 pm, it took about 15 minutes to prepare.chicken katsu curry 3/5 - The curry sauce had a good spice level, the rice was fresh and well cooked, the chicken itself was not as flavorful but the katsu batter was crispy.pork katsu curry 5/5 - For this one, it was spot on. The curry sauce had a good spice level, the rice was fresh and well cooked, the pork itself was so flavorful and the katsu batter was crispy but also had softness to it, the perfect combination of texture and flavor. Chicken & Kurobota Pork Pot Stickers 5/5 - Very flavorful on it's own, but the sauce made it perfect! They were a great size too, perfect amount of filling and perfectly cooked. I also enjoyed that they came as a 6 piece, most places will only give you 5 which makes it difficult to evenly share.Overall, we will definitely be coming back! They are open late and have really good quality food."
