"I'm pretty picky about fish because I'm not great with fishy taste. Satisfied here because the fish here was fresh :)I ordered the spicy yellowtail and the fresh salmon. Both are delicious though I liked the spicy yellowtail best. The medium spicy house sauce (you can pick the levels) definitely had a bit of gochujang in it and it was very well balanced. I do think the fresh salmon could use a touch for lemon for a more distinct taste. But overall ver satisfied. It's a comfortable and casual spot, and service was very nice, so all in all very satisfied for a quick bite. I'll be back!"

"Pretty good size for how much we're paying (~$20 per plate depending on what you get. The boxes were heavy. At the time we went, they took cash only but not sure if they got the card reader fixed. Biggest takeaway is the garlic butter fried rice is BOMB. We were one of the first people there and watched them cook everything on the grill. You can smell the garlic butter and soy sauce immediately. Would probably try the garlic noodles next time around!"

I haven't had a bad roll here, however we did get edamame once and they didn't put any salt or anything on it, so I thought that was odd. Miso soup is basic, nothing special.I normally get cut rolls or hand rolls here, but I haven't tried their nigiri(sushi) or sashimi, so I have no opinion on that.The staff is all super nice and they're always prompt, very quick preparation, and they have never messed up my order!"

"I came to this place because I heard it had authentic Japanese chefs. Keep in mind, because of this marketing, as well as the fact that they import their fish from Japan, the prices are going to be sky high. It was like $5 for one piece of nigiri, or $30 for a fish collar. This place is very popular, so make sure to make a reservation or come like 10min before they open, as people will line up outside the restaurant.Getting that out of the way... It was a great restaurant in terms of the Japanese vibe and authenticity. The chefs are indeed Japanese and you can ask them questions about the dishes which they will answer skillfully.We did not go here for sushi, though there were many people ordering omakase here. We ordered a variety of their other dishes, including two fish collars (salmon and young yellowtail), the crab stuffed salmon, tempura, and liver. The highlight for me was the salmon collar. Fatty and moist, it was easily the most delicious dish. It far surpassed the young yellowtail, which wasn't as fatty and tasted fishier. The tempura came out hot, but it had such thick batter that I was overwhelmed by the oily taste. A thinner batter would've been better to let the shrimp shine. The stuffed salmon was okay. The crab inside was yummy, but the salmon on the edge was not. I did not eat the liver so I can't say whether that was good.I'd like to one day come back for their omakase experience, where I can talk to the chefs at the bar."

It was an older couple, I'm guessing it was the owners. They were friendly.Everything I had was fresh. I also ordered the hot tea, and the woman told me it was her own special blend. It was delicious and I drank the whole pot before leaving! Thank you for a great dinner!"

"This place is indeed awesome. Came on a late Monday evening and it was busy! Almost all tables were full. We were seated right away and started browsing the menu. There's a large variety of options, but I went straight for the specialty rolls. I ended up getting 2 rolls, one XOXO and one love your smile. Both were fantastic. They came out quickly, and tasted fresh.Overall I had a great experience here and would come back. It's not really cheap, but good sushi places typically aren't. For a reference point, our total was almost exactly $100 after tax and tip. Together we had 2 bottled beers and 4 specialty roles.The restaurant is a bit tight and a little cramped, but the food more than makes up for any discomfort.I'd definitely consider coming back here if in town again."

Despite this and being close to closing time, they were very patient with us as it was our first time in and still accommodated some side items like gyoza and spam musubis. Half the chairs on one side were up but the other side of the room still had bench seating and tables available.The poke bowls themselves were good. No issues and plenty of mix in's and toppings. The sizes are based on the amount of protein scoops. The musubis were not the prettiest or the freshest but they were still on point. Gyoza from a bag but crispy to perfection. Deep fried of course. The bag of chips were a tad stale but it actually worked since I was scooping my poke up with the chips. All in all if you're super picky, this may not be the spot for you. However I enjoyed my meal and i will definitely be returning."

The employee was very friendly and answered all my questions. She brought the food to my car because I had my dog with me, which was super sweet! I would come back if I was in the area and in the mood for some delicious Hibachi."

Honestly, the food was just ok, but the service was outstanding.Yahoo Grill is in a small strip mall across the street from Cypress College. Depending on when you visit the restaurant, parking, which is free, may be challenging since the shared parking lot isn't all that big to fully support the customers that visit all of the nearby businesses. The seven of us came in two cars and were able to get parking spaces, probably because it was after 7 pm on a Thursday night. This restaurant is on the small side, so I can see customers having to request their orders to go during peak times due to not having enough places to sit inside. The restaurant was clean. Drinks were self serve from beverage dispensers. The menu includes meals in the form of plates, bowls and salads (with protein), and kid's meals are also on the menu.The service is outstanding! The employees were so welcoming, and they didn't have an issue with the seven of us coming in during their last business hour that day. Prices are very reasonable; however, the food quality for some of the meats isn't the best. While my family members ate, it looked like some of them had issues with their food. My sister-in-law looked like her beef rib meat was chewy, which she later said was tough. The shrimp was overdone. Those of us who had chicken or teriyaki didn't have any issues with chewing those meats, and they were cooked perfectly, as were the veggies and rice. The veggies, however, lacked flavor."

They were definitely equipped to handle the level of business for opening weekend, but they seem like they have a clear handle of operations to keep a certain consistency.The beef pepper rice plate is an easy classic, and it's all the familiar flavors of the franchise. Be sure to add some sauce while it's cooking for that extra flavor, and you have a reliable meal at fairly affordable prices given the cost of everything going up these days. They seem to have a number of premium options and upgrades and toppings I'm looking to try in the coming days when the crowds die down a bit, but in the meantime I will celebrate their success.It's conveniently located next to the movie theater as well as the best gelato shop in the area, so they're in good company and a perfect place to get a substantial meal in the middle of a shopping trip or before a movie.TIP: Be sure to add their sauce to your dish while it comes out hot and piping."

The spam musubi was okay there wasn't any furakaki, it was just spam and rice so pretty simple. It was a little disappointed with the spam musubi. Parking: There is parking in front of the restaurant. Quality of Service:The lady helping me was very nice and helpful. She requested I wait in the car until the food was ready.
