"The seafood here was amazing and fresh... I recommend coming in early so they don't run out of certain seafoods... as they did not have all the clams when we came last. The service was pretty good but you do have to wave down the server a few times to bring napkins and water when they are busy.I'd give them 5 stars but their noodles are meh... and the soup I had last time was lackluster as well. So I highly recommend seafood and stick to the seafood!"
"I forgot to take pictures of our food. The service and food was great. When I return, I will take more pictures and repost my review."

"If you want to experience a healthy, vibrant meal made with love, come to True Seasons.Especially great for those who can't choose one thing or have different tastes in their party, they offer everything from hot pot to wraps to poke to curry and more. My husband is vegetarian and they have ample options for vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians. We didn't have a reservation and were seated right away. The seating is fun, you are seated around the bar.We had the following:Vegan spring rolls ($11) - 3/5This seemed like any usual frozen spring rolls. It tasted a bit bland and came with a generic sauce you can find in stores. I wouldn't order this again. My husband did like it.Vegan hot pot ($25 + $2 for spicy miso broth) - 5/5Lots of vegetables are provided! If you don't like a certain vegetable (hubby doesn't eat mushrooms), let them know and they'll switch it out! This was SO MUCH FOOD! He loves the dipping sauces. Poke bowl ($17) - 4/5For poke, there is no variety provided. Basically, this is the one option. I'm used to going to poke places and building my own bowl, so I would prefer some variety in toppings. Now, the tuna quality is excellent!! Really delicious. Also, SO MUCH FOOD! I ate this over the course of 3 days, that's how much there was! One note of caution: easy with the sauce! I didn't realize the sauce on the side was so salty and quickly realized that was why the sauce was on the side! Steamed mixed vegetables ($3) - 5/5I also asked for vegetables because I was told the poke bowl did not come with vegetables. I was surprised by how MUCH FOOD was provided! They also stayed super hot the whole meal! All in all, the prices are very good considering how much quantity of food is provided. Also, the staff is incredibly sweet and very attentive. We were the last ones there and she even offered us to order dessert and it was past closing time! She shared she doesn't rush anyone out just because they've closed. I was wow'd by that.I can't remember her name but there's a manager who works there most days and she's the best. She worked for the previous owners and I remember her from that time. She loves what she does and you can totally tell from the love she pours into the patrons. Definitely pay them a visit!"
"This is where you can get wagyu hot pot with no added frills for under $35. Choose the size of the protein you want, and your usual accoutrements of broth, veggie plate, and rice are included.I've never seen spinach ramen before, and it's sooo worth the upgrade. What I loved most is that you can tell this place is beloved by the community when almost everyone there are return customers. If you're around Chino, check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading! ^-^"
"It's been a while since I've been here. Pre pandemic I believe. Prices are still fairly reasonable but the once complimentary broth are now $2 and up.There's no paper menu and you order off an iPad type tablet. Average price for a dinner combo is $25. It's your protein, plate of vegetables, rice and dipping sauce. The default broth would be the water and seaweed. It's still a good value if you're not looking for all you can eat. The 10 oz of meat was just fine for me and I left full but not stuffed."
"I legit loved this place. It's my new favorite shabu. The service was top notch and the food was soo sooo good. The soups packed an extra punch to any other place I've been to. If I can drink the soup from the jump and it's delicious, it's gonna be smooth sailing after that. And they also have hot drops. Yasss. Only down side is I didn't get acye and the veggies are limited. And I don't wanna pay extra for. But the pork broth was soo yummy. And the meat portion was way way plenty. I would just like to say please update the bathroom."
"Good lunch location. Service was great and the food was delicious. This was the hot pot lunch special and was very reasonable price!"
"There are tons of hot pot/shabu options in this area and I'm so glad I checked out nabemono. As a mostly vegetarian, sometimes it's hard to find flavorful broths but Nabemono was not lacking. After long deliberation, we finalized on the miso and the creamy veg and both were so good and robust. The vegetables that came with were also so fresh and abundant that we had leftovers to take home (no food waste here, folks). If you want an app, the spicy garlic edamame was great to start with with really tasty garlic flavor Attentive servers. The only hiccup was that the online ordering was a bit cumbersome to navigate at first but the team was helpful in figuring it out. Can't wait to come back."
"Cousins night out! It's finally raining in Cali, so we decided to eat shabu to warm up.Parking: This spot is located in downtown Arcadia, so finding a parking spot can be a hit or miss. Free parking spots and parking garage.Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating! No outdoor seating. It's sooo clean inside! The soups are individually served in front of you. The heat level can be easily adjusted.Service: There were a few servers that assisted us. We didn't catch anyone's names except Charles. Everyone was attentive, quick, & efficient tho!Soups, meats, & toppings: We ate AYCE for $28.99 pp! What a deal! Be mindful they have a strict no left overs policy. Their meat selection is really easy to choose from; it's between a spectrum from fatty to lean. They also have lots of flavorful soups to choose from. Our favorites were the Sukiyaki and House Special Shrimp! They have a large self serve toppings & sauce bar. Everything is labeled and clean! The vegetables, fruits, & seafood were fresh as they were kept cold and frozen. Don't forget complimentary ice cream dessert!Pricing: Definitely worth its price! We appreciated how clean everything was. The soups were absolutely flavorful. Highly recommend their AYCE option!"
"Tabu Shabu has been my go-to spot for Japanese hot pot for the past six years. We always arrive right when it opens at 5 PM to avoid the wait and take advantage of their 20% off happy hour deal from 5-6 PM, Monday through Friday. Here's what we usually order:Sukiyaki broth, large Angus beef, udon, brown rice, carrots and spinach.Spicy miso or plain water with kombu, regular Angus beef, shiratake noodles, white rice and all the veggies. One of my favorite things is the garlic, sesame oil and green onion seasoning they put on the raw beef. It adds so much flavor as it cooks. They also provide generous servings of ponzu and goma sauces which are perfect for dipping. I appreciate the shiratake noodles as a gluten-free or low-carb option.During the pandemic, we often ordered takeout and enjoyed their delicious hot pot at home using our electric pot. Even now, we occasionally opt for takeout when we're in the mood for a cozy, leisurely meal at home. The servers are always attentive and incredibly helpful making the dining experience even better. We love coming here and will continue to support this location!"
"I have eaten here 10-15 times, all through my pregnancy and after. I have brought different group of my friends, and the same friends again. These friends have brought their own friends. That is enough to say that this place is really good and meets the needs for a wide range of people! In a large bowl, you use the tongs to grab what you want and then the cashier will weigh your bowl and ask which soup base you prefer. The signature broth is my favorite. The tomato broth is great for kids (no spice). Then they take the bowl to cook your items in the back, give you a number, and they bring the soup to you in a large bowl. As you wait, you can make yourself dipping sauces. I like to combine the satay, sesame, chili oil, garlic, and cilantro together.Sometimes I eat with my eyes while I'm picking items to add to my bowl, and it's way too much food, but it tastes great the next day and they have togo containers for you, too!"
"I was never a shabu fan until I tried Mokkoji. It's soo delicious, I can never get enough! All of my visits here have been great, from the service I receive, the food, the environment, everything is a 10/10. Depending on what time you go during the day, parking might be a little difficult since the plaza is a bit small. I usually get the Original broth with a Regular Toro, but if I'm feeling extra hungry, I would get the large and give my boyfriend whatever I can't finish. My boyfriend likes the Spicy Pork Broth, which is also really good but keep in mind, that one is $5 extra. The order comes with ponzu and peanut sauce, a bowl of white rice, and veggies/udon/tofu. The meat is plated so beautifully, you can't help but snap a picture. Not only that, but it's such good quality. I've had shabu meats where it's too dry or chewy and wasn't enjoyable. But that's never the case here, leaving me with a good lasting impression every single time. Some things to note: They do offer indoor and outdoor seating (I prefer sitting indoors). The price might seem a little expensive (my order comes out to around $25-$30) but for the amount of food you get + the quality, it's always worth it in my opinion. For your broth and/or sauces, the servers ask if you want hot drops but if you're not a fan for spice, beware because even just one drop is SPICY! Don't underestimate those tiny drops. Also Mokkoji is not AYCE, but even though that's the case, the amount of meat they give is enough to fill me up. 10/10!!!"

Absolutely loved every dish here! They are pretty crowded on the weekends but we were able to snag a table here pretty quickly right before 6 PM on a Saturday evening.Every dish comes out piping hot! And once you order, it will come out pretty quick. It's the perfect place for a delicious family style meal. The eggrolls are super crispy, the shrimp is very sweet, and the snails are perfectly cooked! The clams are my favorite here!

It's not too often I get Hot Pot, but Pot on Fire definitely impressed me and left me full. Once we arrived, we hopped on the digital waitlist and waited about 10 minutes to be seated; it was quite busy in the evening on the weekend, so expect a wait. Once walking in, you just get a whiff of seafood smell. You can order everything digitally, and they have an extensive menu and even their own brand of bubble tea. While we were entering our order online, the waitress actually took our order, which was much more convenient. I ordered the Sukiyaki Pot, which has Japanese Udon inside. All of their pots have so many toppings to enjoy! Once they light the pot up, I recommend that you ask an employee to turn it off after 5-10 minutes. Everything was super hot so fast, haha. I'm returning and will try their popcorn chicken next time.

My favorite Shabu place! The quality of the meat is top tier.American, Australian, and Japanese Wagyu. They also have USDA PRIME. How can you not love this place! And I haven't even started on the flavor of the broth! The spicy Tonkatsu is by far my favorite. Ask for garlics and green onions to make the perfect bowl. I always order the spicy tonkatsu with a large Zabuton and ramen. Also don't sleep on their appetizers. The staff is friendly and they always have upbeat music playing. They also show sports games on the multiple TV's they have. My family and I come here atleast 4-5 times a month. The owners are really nice and treat you like family. Special shout out to Dayton. He has a sauce mixture that he recommended and I haven't looked back since. Thank you!

This hotpot place is very much reminiscent of Jazz cat, however the only difference is that it's in a basket and paper! I thought the menu was a little confusing to understand because it wasn't really explained to us when ordering. Inside they have plenty of tables and for parties of all size. The soups were okay, and it was fun to try

This is by far one of my favorite hot spot places. Mainly for the fact that it is so customizable and the broth here compared to traditional hot pot doesn't compare. The staff here is nice and informative when it comes to creating your bowl. The only downside to my visit this time is it seems like they either under staffed or need a sense of urgency. They seemed to be a bit scattered and didn't bring all the drinks we ordered, didn't bring out the rice when we got our food, and didn't check up on us for refills on meat since we did all you can eat. (To be fair the staff did say sorry it seemed like they were going through a shift change while also getting a lot of new people that wanted to eat). But sadly even after everyone was seated the service didn't improve.

I love a traditional Japanese shabu spot and this is asclose as it gets that's nearby. They have a great vegan option for my husband (i.e., green machine) and a vegan version of their ponzu dipping sauce. I love the unlimited veggie refill even though we were fine with what they gave us initially. Great goma and ponzu sauces as well as a variety of soup bases to choose from. Major kudos for serving icy cold beers literally! The restaurant is quite spacious and airy. The only criticism I have is there was only one person dealing with the front of the house at any given time, so trying to flag this person down for the check took a considerable amount of time especially on a Friday when it was getting busy. Hopefully this was just a rare occurrence and they've figured out their staffing needs as I cannot wait to come back to try other items on their menu.

"I had lunch here with my daughter and friend. We ordered the following to share:Beef noodle soupDan Dan noodlesBeef roll Juicy pork dumpling Pork potstickers Steamed red bean paste buns Overall, we enjoyed the food here. The Dan Dan noodles were a bit too salty, but everything else was great. Our favorite were the steamed red bean paste buns. I could've eaten a basket full of those and be really happy! The restaurant is pretty casual, you order at the counter and food is delivered to the table. There is a water station with cups that is self serve. The food was tasty, reasonably priced, prepared quickly, and the portions were large."
"We ordered the Lau Bo by Lao Beo which was the perfect size for two people. There was a good variety of meats and veggies for both of us. The broth was extremely flavorful and really made the dish for us. Overall, we had a great experience here and can't wait to come back."
"Woohoo, Shabu on Fire caters to both pescatarian and vegetarian preferences. From their flavorful broth options to their protein selections, there's something for us pescatarians/vegetarians. :)For the protein they have options of: Regular 9 pcsLarge 13 pcsSamurai 20 pcsThe prices for seafood range from $21.00-$32.00For pescatarians they have salmon, shrimp, and scallops. The vegetarians option comes with mushrooms, various leafy greens, tofu, corn, carrots, zucchini, noodles. $17.00.The staff is attentive and walks around to adjust and keep an eye on the Shabu pot ensuring your meal doesn't overcook or burn. Bonus***They also serve sushi!!"
"Have not been to this location in years! Food quality and ambiance remains the same - service was also spectacular. The plaza is doing construction outside so it may be hard to locate the restaurant but they do have additional signs pointing you to their exact location which is helpful.Since it was a weekday when we went, there was no line or wait - we were seated immediately. You order directly from an iPad which is super convenient.Servers were very attentive and friendly. We ordered a variety of skewers, dishes and soups. Our favorites are the Lamb Skewers, the Golden HotPot and the Shrimp Dumplings. Everything else was also delicious. These are a must try!Plenty of parking available as it is located in a big plaza."
"First visit to this Thai restaurant, which is close to both home and work (for me). I had a pleasant lunch experience with a couple coworkers. Service was fast/efficient, but not overly friendly. The food was good. Parking in a private shopping center lot.FOOD: Lunch Specials (11am - 3pm daily) are served with salad and fried or steamed rice. I started with a Thai Iced Tea ($4) which was very good. We tried the Yellow Curry Chicken Lunch Special ($11.95), Pad Thai Chicken Lunch Special ($11.95), and a Pad See Ew ($12.95). Everything was served hot, and was very tasty. Most dishes can be prepared without meat, or with tofu upon request. Add Shrimp to any meal for $3 extra.I would definitely return again, and recommend it, if you're in the area."
"Warning: long wait time on a Friday night. But since I was catching up with my friend, it was fine and worth it. Also they had a heater outside and water for those waiting. The quality of food was very good and the quantity of food was also good. A lot of places these days are giving less so I appreciate the good portion. Although it's a bit pricey I think the quality is worth it. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the rice. It was very dry and hard. Not my preference. But the fried crispy pork was great! Crunchy and not too much batter. We also tried the dried bellflower which is interesting cause it's a crunchy veggie. Would get again. Their snack bar was also good. They had fresh and hot sesame balls with red bean paste filling. Also chips and other snacks."
"We go to Pop Pot everytime we crave Taiwanese style hot pot and it always delivers. The broth is always consistent."
"The 5 stars is for their good food and amazing broth flavor. If you're in Irvine and looking for comfort food! This is the place to go. My husband took me here on the weekend. Not busy but you will always see people coming in and out to take it Togo. We ordered with the special beef broth with mild spicy. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely come back for more. You get to pick your own meat and veggies. It goes by weight $13.99 a pound + a small charge for the soup. Price are decent for a good portions soup bowl."
"the service is attentive, the food ingredients and texture are excellent. this was my first time eating at a Korean restaurant but I know this quality is excellent."
"I love the lamb skews really tasty. And the ramen noodle soup is a must! Service is wonderful and they are very attentive. I love dining in, but it can get dangerous because the more you eat the more you wanna try. I recommend this place to everyone who's ramen lover."
"The portions was huge and prices are fair. The promotion is buy 2 hu tieu get 1 free chicken rice and get 1 free drink if check in on yelp. I like their special dry noodle consisted of pork including heart, shrimp and quail egg which was delicious. Clean fast and attentive service."
"Enjoyed a later meal after movie . Unexpectedly fresh Kobe beef , delicious soup base with tender chicken ! Service is also excellent. Not too push but very accommodating .I love the fact that they open until 12am which provide an option for movie goers !"
"Always a consistent place for Shabu, service is attentive and kind. Menu prices have been creeping up and up let's pump the brakes there!"
"I will preface this by saying it was my first time and I went a la carte. Between us we had a peanut allergy and sensitivity to spice, so there were definitely some impediments to our ability to experience all this place had to offer. Pros: We were seated quickly as walk-ins on a Friday evening. I loved the setup of the table. Dinnerware sets were beautiful and high quality. The chairs were wide and spacious. The bathrooms were well stocked. They offered a wide variety of meats, sauces, and veggies. Our server was courteous and attentive, but we were able to order on a tablet. The wagyu fried rice was perfectly seasoned. I loved the ponzu sauce. And the sesame balls from the sauce bar were so tasty!Cons: didn't like that I would have to download an app to see my position my status on the waitlist when I arrived. It seemed obvious that the server was supposed to push the membership on us and it was awkward to have to directly tell her we were not interested in it. I felt like being told it was an option at the start of the meal and letting us know we could ask more about it if interested would've made me feel more comfortable. At the end, we were also told we could sign up for rewards and she said she would walk me through the steps of downloading the app. Again, I felt badly having to be so direct in letting her know I didn't want to do that. Pushing these apps on people who just want to visit a restaurant felt tacky for a place that seemed so upscale. The bone marrow was underwhelming and surprisingly lacking in flavor. The braised wagyu and seaweed salad were too spicy. I didn't find the chicken broth with wagyu meats and veggies memorable. Usually, I would find the idea of a little robot server cute, but it actually just seemed to get in the way as I tried to navigate pretty narrow aisles. I found myself walking at a snail's pace following it from the bathroom to my seat. The ordering system didn't have enough options for customization so we ended up having to ask the server to make adjustments like putting chili on the side because the only option was to have it as is or with none at all. I really wanted to love this place and it seemed soo promising from all the reviews but it overall looked better than it tasted and was pricey for what it was."
"The flavors of spicy, sour, sweet, salty, tangy, every taste found in Thai food really hits home with the dishes offered here. I called Thai Gulf for take-out on the way home from work for an order of the Massaman curry, a side of roti, crab fried rice and pad Thai- all medium spicy. I was really impressed with the curry! Deep, rich curry flavor in a creamy sauce- perfect for dunking the roti bread in! The crab fried rice was a huge hit with the family as well and you can never go wrong with pad Thai. Tip- if you like extra spice, just add for extra chilis and fish sauce on the side! Definitely a favorite take out or eat in place for Thai"
"We went over 2 hours before closing. Impressed with the selection & price but since they were closing soon, there weren't enough seafood options available. They ran out of a lot of them, actually. Loved the soup bases though."
"Solid shabu spot in Cerritos. They do offer sets here still even tho they have AYCE option now. The 6oz angus beef is more than plenty for myself. Love their simple veggie broth. Don't forget to add all your spices n garnishes like ginger garlic and chives. Love the vegetable platter as well. Overall great spot for your shabu cravings"
"Quiet, clean and nice looking atmosphere. Booth chairs are too upright. If you like to lean back, we prefer the center aisle tables with regular metal chairs instead. Parking can get hectic but somehow we haven't had any issues yet (there's a card shop that seems to be popular in the plaza). This is our second time there, and I really enjoy the garlic noodles with steak, and my husband enjoys the steak entree. Marinated steak with garlic noodles that are flavorful and not overwhelming, plus it comes with a salad. My only gripe is the paper cups. Not enough to minus a star, but it's definitely not something you'd expect from a sit in restaurant (unless they were serving pizza to go). Im guessing it's a relic from the pandemic times and I won't fault them for that, but I do hope they use up the stash soon lol. Would return for a weekday lunch. Just to add, the service was fine - they came back frequently to check up on us and also make sure we didn't park at Taco Bell. Appreciate their consideration!"
"Love this place! Quality of food and broth is always great. The service is always great as well. Management came by and provided free dessert and sake for us waiting which was very kind of them. Wait staff is always fun and attentive as well. Parking can be a bit tough but usually have paid street parking spots around. I recommend the tonkatsu broth with a couple of hot drops!"
"solid shabu place!everything was fresh and delicious with great recommendations.very attentive, helpful and nice staff!loved the atmosphere and trendy aesthetic. not too quiet, but not too loud. we arrived before a little rush but love that they have a yelp waitlist."
"Wanted shabu for dinner on a cold night. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place. It's located close to the camp in Costa Mesa in a small shopping center. Most of the businesses in the shopping center were closed at this time so we almost missed it at first. It was very busy on a Saturday night. We joined the Yelp waitlist from home and still had to wait after we arrived and even for a while after our expected seating window. I would recommend getting on Yelp waitlist as soon as possible during busy hours or checking the wait in advance.Once seated everything else was very quick. Orders were started immediately. I believe the manager or owner was assisting us, but I am not sure (I didn't catch his name). He was super friendly and took the time to explain things and made recommendations. It seemed like he knew many of the customers and took the time to greet and speak with many people eating. I really appreciated that he took the time to greet so many people and also explain things to us. We both got 1/2 spicy miso and 1/2 tonkotsu broth with our proteins of choice. The broth was flavorful and had a little kick, but was not overly spicy - I would order it the same way again. The dipping sauces were both delicious. I was so hungry I forgot to take pics! Overall, it was perfect for what we were craving and we enjoyed our experience. Looking forward to returning in the future!"
