My boyfriend says this is the best poke place he's had in his life! The food quality has always been consistent and the fish is always so fresh. I also appreciate that the sauces are on the less salty side so that it doesn't overpower the freshness and quality of the fish. Shout out to the guy working who recognized us from the first time we came here after the airport! :-) service is amazing! He gave amazing recs."

"Aloha hidden gem!! This is my new favorite Hawaiian food restaurant. Lots of flavor and big portions. The chicken katsu is crunchy, yet juicy. (Would probably ask for a side of sauce, I like adding a little to my rice, but that's just me) The bbq teriyaki so GOOD! My favorite is the macaroni salad. I could eat that all the time. First time trying spam and egg musubi was alright, seemed like it needed something. But for me the seaweed was too fishy. Maybe it's not my thing."

"I came here a few days ago with some friends. They opted to try this place as they don't have this where they're from. We went around 10, and there was no line. I've been here on the weekends and it's pretty packed. There was a line out the door. We ordered pretty fast. And the food came out about 15 minutes later. I got the eggs Benedict which was pretty good. My friend's got the breakfast tots which were crunchy and delicious. My other friend got the spicy chicken waffles. The chicken wasn't that spicy. All in all it was very delicious!"

"I was driving home from LAX with a friend and craving Hawaiian food so we looked up on the Yelp app and found 808 with some good reviews. This is one of those times when unfortunately the food did not live up to the reviews. The galbi was literally burnt and shriveled (see pics). There was barely any meat and what was on there was so overcooked. It tasted like beef jerky. I can't believe they would serve it like this. Giving them two stars because the loco moci my friend ordered was at least edible even though we both agreed that meat was also overcooked.. Disappointed, and if I hadn't been so jetlagged, I would have complained and demanded my money back, but at that point, I just wanted to be done and leave as I was exhausted. Maybe some of the items are better on the menu, but I would stay away from the galbi."

The batter was lightly covered with crispy panko. There was plenty of rice for the two little kids to share. The mac salad was not as creamy as I am used to because it had canned tuna in it, but it was nice to have something a little different from other places.The seating area was spacious, and there was a self-service soda fountain with fresh tasting water. This restaurant was the perfect find for my tired kids."

The staff was very friendly and helpful with the ordering; the space itself is small, so you mostly eat on the shared patio - it was too hot for me yesterday so i brought food back to my office. I had the combo plate with Beef bulgogi and chicken katsu, with white rice, cabbage salad, kimchi and macaroni salad. The bulgogi was a little chewy and the mac salad was a little boring, but everything else was great. (Add some soy sauce to the mac to improve it!) It was really expensive - over $20. My usual order is their bbq beef plate. It comes with their amaaaaazing mac salad & rice. I always get extra teriyaki sauce & mac salad on the side because it's just simply delicious to me. Yum! Their large bbq beef plate can last me two meals depending on how hungry I am. I definitely recommend this place! They have many items and special/refreshing drinks on the menu to choose from. The chicken katsu with the curry sauce is also amazing.There's no indoor seating and parking is small, but you can get in and out in a timely manner."

"I'm genuinely unsure how this place gets anything but 5 stars. I first came to the loft a few weeks ago, and I have to say I have picked up food here multiple times since the first time I tried it. Everything about the loft is straight to the point. It's nothing fancy, the ambience is nothing out of the ordinary. But the food is absolutely incredible. I've strangely only gotten take out, but every single time I'm so happy with the food. The chicken katsu is crispy and delicious. The Kalua pork is my personal favorite, and I order it with my meal every time. The cabbage is also my favorite from any Hawaiian place! They actually put pieces of uncooked ramen in the cabbage, which sounds strange but gives it the perfect crunch. The Mac salad also tastes very fresh, and tastes lighter than other Hawaiian restaurants I've visited. Pro tip we also always call in the food. They usually have our order in 10-15 minutes and it's also extremely quick. Love this place so much"

Barely any macaroni salad and a few cabbages on the bottom! Definitely ripped off. I'll just stick to my usual location near work from now on."

For protein, I love their fresh salmon, shoyu salmon, and spicy tuna mixed with wasabi Mayo. Toppings included cucumber, corn, pineapple, seaweed, green onions, masago, and ginger. Beef n chicken combo, delicious beef kalbi, a little fatty but so delicious, the grilled taste came through. The free one is the lesser valued chicken combo. By the way the price listed on Yelp was incorrect, listed $2 higher. Brandon inflation caused many restaurants to go bankrupt, people just can't afford to eat out so come here for $18 you get so much food to last 2 days ! So why is this not 5 stars? The sauces were so sweet I thought I poured syrup on my plate, I had to squeeze lemon then it was still not good enough I poured sone pink Chinese vinegar it finally worked. If the manager reads this here is my recommendation, your sauce is not really bbq it's a sweet teriyaki, please give us 1 real BBQ sauce, the teriyaki sauce should be less sweet then I'll be here more often. Most Americans have sweet tooth n unfortunately too many have diabetes so if you can make it less sweet your restaurant will attract more customers."
