"We had a funeral reception at this location and I was amazed. We were given the back room which was closed off for privacy. The restaurant accommodated the time frame, which needed to be moved up almost an hour (we called and asked if we could arrive "now" basically). The staff was busy the entire time and very attentive. Props to Johanny our waitress. She was amazing and professional from start to finish. She definitely stood out as a great employee. We usually don't go to this restaurant, (Denny's in general) but based on the staffs desire to treat people like family we will definitely put it on our radar. Thank you again Johanny for doing an exceptional job."

"Who would have thought a small, rinky, hole in the wall Mexican diner would offer one of the best chicken fried steaks!! Being from the south, I grew up on hearty breakfasts. Everything loaded with gravy. Carlito's CFS did not disappoint!! Crispy chicken steak smothered, no, drowning in sausage gravy! For the price you really get a large portion too. It included 3 eggs made your way, I opted for hashbrowns and a side of toast. The diner itself is very tidy and clean. Excellent customer service. Upon entry, go to the counter to place your order then they will bring your food out."

"The second my family and I walked in, we were greeted and sat. Immediately. Also, the second we got sat, they asked us what we wanted to drink. Literally perfect service. The vibes were immaculate. The details, down to the lights and the tile in the bathroom is perfect. It's updated 50's and I am so here for it. My little siblings also got toys to play with once they say, and were ecstatic. The host was the sweetest guy ever, and our waitress was so kind! The server outfits are also super cool, resembling the 50's waiter outfits.To my gluten-free foodies: they do have plenty of options, gluten free buns for burgers and gluten free English muffins, and have a FABULOUS Caesar salad with chicken (I should know, I got it lol). Tbh, the chicken Caesar with a Diet Coke was absolute perfection.The kids meals were a pretty darn good portion, and the burgers looked amazing, as my brother and parents got burgers. The service is amazing and overall, a perfect 5 stars. If you need to charge your Tesla or need a bite to eat, this 50's vibe diner is WELL worth your time and money!"

"It was a nice small place but very comfortable. The workers were so warm and friendly. The positivity and energy of the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I mentioned about the temperature and immediately my words were taken to heart and I got what I needed immediately. Such a nice casual place with a beautiful family atmosphere. I just loved everyone. The atmosphere was actually so nice that it did help open me up better to fellow diners and we all had such beautiful conversations. So i would recommend social . Food Ohoo at breakfast diners I usually order the same thing which is breakfast burritos. It was unique to me be a most breakfast burritos I had would contain chorizo which can be a bit to heavy for me and too salty and yes beans. This was nice and lighter. They also had home made salsa . I'd recommend it. Prices were very nice ."

"Norms to me, is family. Been coming to Norms since my high school days in the 90s. We went here after football games. In college, we went to Norns after a fun night clubbing. When I got married, norms Was where we had dinner when we were too busy building up our careers. When we had kids, Norms was where we had pancakes after Mass. We have now come full circle. Our kids come to Norms after football and volleyball games. Our favorites: pancakes, the club sandwich, the porter house, t bone steak, the white fish, the liver and onions (until it left the menu) and of course, the gumbo. Double orders of gumbo, always!"

This location seems to rotate bread pudding, so constantly on the lookout as the recent pumpkin spice one was PHENOMENAL. Yes, ALL CAPS GOOD. Love the ability to mobile order and the staff is always friendly. Lots of outdoor seating, so usually a great area to find a seat to enjoy your food. Definitely a solid quick service option for dining when visiting Disney California Adventure."

"Came for morning breakfast since a friend highly recommended it. I'm glad he did! Love the cosy cabin vibe. Unfortunately, it was quite a busy morning on Saturday. One person was working the whole side of the restaurant. I love the newspaper menu. Although it did take awhile to flag down the waitress, once we got our order in, the food came out relatively quickly. Got the bear choice with 2 sausage links, over easy eggs, hashbrowns and 2 pancakes. It is a great deal considering the average price of a meal nowadays. My buddy spoke highly of the biscuits and gravy. So he got that and I swap a pancake for his biscuit and holy moly are the biscuits HUGE! Its enough to KO you! The pancakes are crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. One of the best pancakes I've had. I wasn't able to finish my meal, but got to have 2nds later that day.Definitely would come again!"

"It was a good experience for our first time at any Norms restaurants. We showed up on a Friday around 10 am. A few parking spots available, we thought the restaurant was really busy, but it really wasn't. The restaurant look clean and well lit, not too noisy inside, but the bathrooms could definitely use a bit more attention (a bit dirty, and it smelled really bad) We waited about 3 minutes before we were taken to our table. The restaurant was not too busy. Our food did take about 20 minutes to come out (maybe because it four of us, who knows). Our waitress was very kind, polite, and friendly. She took our orders quickly, and she was always attentive with our table. Our food came out great, it was accurate, it was tasty, and it was a good quantity for the price. We ordered the California Omelette x 2, and we an order of the chilaquiles. The three plates had very good flavor. Will try again in the future!"

"After a bike ride down PCH this past weekend, my wife and I stopped by Woody's Diner in Sunset Beach for a bite--and we're so glad we did!She ordered the Eggs Benedict, and I went with the Texas Burger. Both were fantastic! The Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs, a rich and creamy hollandaise, and a nicely toasted English muffin. My Texas Burger was everything you want in a burger--juicy, flavorful, and stacked with BBQ sauce, crispy onion rings, and bacon. It hit the spot after the ride!The diner has that classic beachy, laid-back vibe that makes you feel right at home. Service was friendly, and the food came out quickly despite it being a busy weekend morning. "I'm so sad... this place has changed so much. I usually door dash, but today we dined in. All the things I've loved about Ruby's are no more. No juke boxes at the tables, bottomless fries, or what's going on with their cinnamon roll French toast (see image) that has always been a go-to favorite. I've never seen a skinner French toast, it was more like a crepe. I came here with someone who is not from the US, hoping to give them a classic American diner experience and it was a disappointment :( I know it's not their fault, but came for good food, and a full 1950's theme, but no waitress in their cute uniforms and food was mediocre I'll definitely try again, hoping it was just an off day. I will add that I appreciate that they still have the paper cars for the children, the gum ball machine, and the train operating on the ceiling track."

"I have always been a fan of the 50's inspired diners. I love the music, the decor, and the whole feel. The only thing I don't like about this chain, is that the entrees do not come with a side. That costs extra, and the extra is a bit extra. Although the sides are good sized. It just ends up costing almost $30 for a meal with drink after adding tax and tip. The good news is that you a free burger for your birthday. I will always go in to redeem that deal!"

We sat inside as most people did because of the heavy wind.Our sever was very polite and we got our food pretty fast. I got the eggs Benedict and hash browns which were delicious, my cousin got the machaca and eggs, and my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken salad (not on the website but still on the menu). Most tables have a nice view of at least a few of the Old Town Orange buildings which I think give it a cute, trendy, cozy vibe."

I want to start off by saying the food always has good flavor. The carnitas chilaquiles are my favorite, this time I couldn't choose between that one or the chef Vic green chilaquiles so my server asked if I could get half and half and so I did thanks! It was amazing! I told my server we liked the brioche and the churro waffle but were undecided on which to get, she informed me they were able to do the brioche French toast churro style and omg! It did not disappoint! The fluffyness of the bread and the sweet churro sauce made the perfect combo. ( we ended up getting two!)As for the ambiance, the place is bright has background music that can be pretty enjoyable not too loud, just enough to hear but you're able to hear everyone else as well. The place keeps pretty clean and the art on the walls is nice. This place will keep being on my books, and definitely returning once again"

"I've been to this Black Bear Diner location + their Signal Hill location several times in the past, but for some reason my recent visit wasn't as appetizing as previous visits. I couldn't tell if it's because I ordered an underwhelming dish (I got the tuna melt) or if others felt this way, but my other guests who also frequent the Diner agreed that something was missing in the food. Their portions are consistently huge but the flavor was lacking...maybe new recipes? I would also love to see more vegan options from the diner besides oatmeal! Besides the food, our waitress and the rest of the staff were friendly and patient for my party of 8. I've never had issues with staff here and they always have a smile on their faces!"
