"We stayed at a nextdoor and found a best kept secret Old World Village in which we found The Coffee Tale. The cappucino was exccellent. We had some German pastries as well."
"This is the third time i come back and that is due to the food. The food all of is great, very delicious, all of it, including the drinks also. The service itself is great too, very attentive waitresses. I really love the place and the ambiance is so relaxing."

"I've been coming to the Avocado Cafe Irvine on a couple occasions now and really like this little hidden gem quite a lot. Came across the Avocado Cafe while taking a friend to JWA with time to kill for breakfast being so close to the airport. They probably have one of the best breakfast burritos and I wish they were a little bit closer to my place but definitely worth going out of your way!The Avocado Cafe serves fresh and healthy food including sandwiches, salads, smoothies, juices, and drinks and not to mention a variety of coffees! FYI, their Tuna sandwich (formerly known as the Avocado tuna sandwich) was even voted one of the 9 best avocado dishes in Orange County by OC Weekly. The cafe offers a fast casual dining experience with a cozy ambiance inside and out and I definitely prefer the outside patio seating!5 stars for reasonably priced and tasty food plus friendly service!I'II be back!Enjoy and Bon Appétit!"
"Stopped in for lunch at the bar. Ordered a Chimay and delicious lamb burger ($19), medium well. Bar is a hidden gem with a wrap around bar top, vibey ambiance and good bartenders. Captain approved."
"Nice restaurant here in San Juan Capistrano, I am assuming that this area is part of downtown. Parking is definitely a challenge. Very limited free parking behind the restaurant. I didn't see any street parking close by. But there is lots of paid public parking in the area. Some are $10, some are $4 for 2 hours. The restaurant itself has inside and outside seating available. Lots of options for everyone. Staff is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Atmosphere is nice and pleasant. Very relaxed and friendly. Food was good. My wife had the chilaquiles, I had the Ellie's Table Breakfast Combo. It was all delicious, good seasoning, nice and crispy bacon, it all tasted fresh. Definitely a place to come back to. We came from Lake Forest, so this could be our to go breakfast place whenever we come down this area. Definitely recommend to try!"
"Had one savory crepe (a Parisian) which was ham and brie. This was delicious. The perfect and classic combination. The mustard that went with it was great. Also had one sweet crepe (a Fraise classic) which was a classic strawberry and banana. It was stuffed with fruit and we chose dark chocolate topping. Would return again!"
"Great food so far... I have only had the country fried steak. REAL country fried steak (not that premade frozen crap) with fried chicken style breading, nice and thick. I don't know how they manage to keep the crispy breading from falling off when they plate it. Gravy is also the real deal; just sausage, flour, salt and pepper. If someone complains in their review that it tastes too plain or doesn't taste like gravy, ignore them... they're from California and are expecting it to also include chicken broth and maybe pieces of bacon too. Eggs, hash browns, and biscuit were also goodThe house potatoes looked awesome. I need to try those next time. Prices were decent Eggs Benedict had several options and looked good too."
"I was HANGRY y'all. It was a very long day and a very long past couple days of D23 Expo. On the final day we decide to haul our booties to do a quick run (more like quick walk so cast members wouldn't yell at us) through both DCA and DL. After being thwarted by Rise of the Resistance and a unexpected detour where there were closures. We were spent and we all absolutely needed food.Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe was an option and recommendation so I opted for the turkey sandwich with chips. We preordered which made things easier to claim after we did a quick ride at Indiana Jones. It was really really late so lines were no where and seating abundant. I devoured that sandwich. Ravished it. The chips a lovely crunchy component to the soft chewiness of the bread.I would get this again if I wanted a non-fried food option at Disneyland!"
"My sister & I met for a late lunch the day before 4th of July. Found ourselves checking out Country Cafe referred by friends. They close at 1:30pm. We arrived at 1:00 Thought they might turn us away. We were so wrong. They greeted us cheerfully and never rushed us to order or finish up. Top notch service all around. Sister ordered a 2 egg scramble accompanied by brown rice, bacon and sourdough toast. Homemade strawberry jam. Delish. I ordered machaka - half a plate full of tasty shredded beef scrambled with fluffy eggs. Plentiful. Delicious. Cottage cheese, sourdough toast and brewed coffee completed my meal. So much food. We both took half our meals home for dinner. The cafe is ultra-clean. A wall of philodendron plants look well-loved - healthy, hardy, lacy - allowed filtered light to enter the lovely cafe. Impressive. Country Cafe has been in business for eight years. I live blocks away. I can't believe this was my first visit. It won't be my last."
"It was a nice small place but very comfortable. The workers were so warm and friendly. The positivity and energy of the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I mentioned about the temperature and immediately my words were taken to heart and I got what I needed immediately. Such a nice casual place with a beautiful family atmosphere. I just loved everyone. The atmosphere was actually so nice that it did help open me up better to fellow diners and we all had such beautiful conversations. So i would recommend social . Food Ohoo at breakfast diners I usually order the same thing which is breakfast burritos. It was unique to me be a most breakfast burritos I had would contain chorizo which can be a bit to heavy for me and too salty and yes beans. This was nice and lighter. They also had home made salsa . I'd recommend it. Prices were very nice ."
"Blueberry pancakes 5/5Lemon ricotta beignet 5/5Maple club 5/5Kale salad with salmon 5/5 Everything was freshly made with Quality ingredients and was so delicious. Matt the owner is running around helping us and out doing deliveries, you can tell his whole heart is in this restaurant. Today we were able to try the breakfast and lunch menu but I'll definitely be back for dinner. I can have this kale salad everyday!!! Service was excellent. You know a restaurant is good when it's full house. I'll be back for dinner."
"#dEATs ( IG: @foodwithdeni) Madagascar Vanilla Cream Top & Banana Cream Top Latte from @caffeincoffeeco ! Happy New Year! My husband and I have been coming here for years, even after we've moved away. My husband swears by their mocha and if you're in the mood for baklava, it's to die for at The Coffee Tale. 100% recommend this place.

My husband found this place and surprised me with it while we out in Baldwin Park. We were seated right away and sat next to their large mural on the wall. This place has brunch all day along with mostly Mexican dishes. However, they also have omelet's, skillets, and American breakfast items. Seating is inside and outside, but if you sit outside it could get noisy as they are next to a busy street.I got their Huevos Rancheros ($15.99) with their Pork Belly (Extra $7). It came with two crispy corn tortillas with beans, queso fresco, sour cream, pickled jalapeno's, pickled onions and cilantro. The pork belly was just okay; I should have gotten something different! But what was delicious were those two crispy tortillas! The crunch from the pickled onions and the warm tortilla was just so good. The potatoes it came with were just okay - Next time I think I'll ask for a side salad instead!Applewood Smoked Brisket Skillet ($22.99) - This came with country potatoes topped with melted Oaxaca and Monterey cheese with your choice of bacon/sausage and two eggs your way. We got sausage and it was just okay. The entire dish was just okay in his eyes.We got their Tiramisu pancakes to try ($15.99 + 1.00 for whatever reason) - This came with fresh berries, mascarpone cream, cocoa powder, and expresso syrup. This was not sweet at all, light, fluffy, and very delicious. This was so good; the only dish we had where everything was delicious. This restaurant is on the corner on Maine Ave across from Mamma's Juicery and All That Pho. It shares a big parking lot so parking shouldn't be hard to find.

Been to Sundried Tomato a couple times now, and I'm always impressed by the Delicious Food & Fabulous Service! Went in for dinner on Wednesday (1/8/25), and I'm pretty sure the entire town of SJC was there also! Every table was filled, but the 2 servers (Yes, there were ONLY 2) still made every table feel like they were the only ones there. Brooke is So Friendly, Funny, & Amazingly Efficient. The signature Sundried Tomato Soup was incredible (as usual), & my boyfriend's Blackened Chicken Pasta was phenomenal. Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the Crab Cakes, but that just gives me the opportunity to try other menu items on my next visit. I ALWAYS look forward to dinner at the Sundried Tomato. Fantastic Food, Great Service, Cozy Atmosphere, & Excellent Value!

This is by far the best breakfast/brunch place I've been to in recent memory. Honestly possibly the best spread in Southern California. The menu is expansive so if you have several people I recommend sharing items to get more of the full menu. The prices are also incredibly reasonable in 2024. Maybe even cheap to be honest.Came here with a friend and his sister-this is what we had:Apricot bar-not even a fan of sweets but light, delicious, chewy and downright delicious.Turkey focaccia-an absolute revelation. We got the last one and I thank god we lucked out.Tarragon chicken salad-light, sweet and savory. FantasticFried chicken sandwich-well fried, moist and tender breast. Fried chicken biscuit and gravy-hearty gravy, full of flavor with a soft and light biscuit and the same great tender well fried chicken breast.Breakfast sandwich and breakfast potatoes: well seasoned, great bread and cooked to order potatoes.New favorite place for brunch hands down.Very cozy ambience. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It's my 4th visit and it doesn't disappoint. It's 2:30pm on a Saturday that I was debating whether to have campero fried chicken or something healthier. Decided to go for the best crepes not just in town/oc but possibly greater los angeles. Most of all friendly and hardworking owners with the best Playlist of the 80s 90s songs. Come get your Savory or sweet crepes and they're really good with the freshest ingredients. Also need to mention the nice touch of a delicious homemade complementary danish butter cookie!

This is a great cafe located in Disneyland at the end of Main Street! It's always busy whenever I come here. There are two lines - one is to order at the register and another is for mobile order pick up. If you want to mobile order, I recommend ordering earlier in the day because time slots go fast. They sell a variety of drinks, desserts, and their famous sandwich plus soup combos. I have tried the Birria Cheese Toast with Consume and it is one of my favorite items at the park. I hope they bring it back.Recently, I tried the Boo-gogi Toasted Sandwich with Corn Cheese Soup. It was delicious! Very flavorful. The corn soup was a little sweet but not too sweet. I dipped the sandwich in the soup and it paired very well together. I would definitely try it before it's gone.

"They were super busy when we arrived but we were seated pretty quickly. Orders took a while to get placed. Once food arrived it was good. Basic breakfast nothing spectacular."
"I absolutely love this place so much! The drinks are always soo good they never taste different. I always order the strawberry milk tea with a shot of espresso never disappoints. The employees are always so nice and the coffee shop is super cute they have their own merchandise I think it's super unique. I highly recommend this coffee shop 10/10. The only thing I don't like, and it's not a big deal is that they open 8am. I wish they opened a little earlier since I'm an early bird and start work pretty early. But if you're thinking of going GO!!"
"The food is great. The customer service needs a little more sparkle meaning more friendlier like more of a hello or welcome. It's a bit dry in the atmosphere, but it can be a great place and has alot of potential."
"I always love a good sandwich, but board and brews is next level good. I usually get the turkey deluxe which is my go to. I've been to a few other locations as well, but this one is special. The past few times I have visited, I am always greeted by the sweetest lady named TJ. She doesn't just treat you like a customer, but she treats you kind of like a close friend. It's her service and kindness that makes this location stand out from the rest. I can't wait to come back soon."
"If you are in Cars Land, you must try this place! The fried chicken is the best! Do not skip. You won't be disappointed. Sure, the wait is long but if you order it ahead, it is ready for you when you get there. Honestly if this restaurant was in my neighborhood, I would go weekly. The fried chicken here is the best in the entire park. It is crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Well cooked, not chewy chicken either. Yes, they got beer. Fried Chicken and beer are the best combination. There are many tables for seating, mostly outside. The restroom is next to the restaurant. They have everything you need on the side. The line goes pretty quick for order but expect to wait if you didn't order ahead. Highly recommend this place for Fried Chicken."
"The food was so good and the coffee was amazing! Staff was helpful with selections as well and very nice. We will definitely go back soon!"
"I was promptly greeted by a smiling-faced woman as I walked into Village Cafe. As I am from out-of-town, I was looking for a different breakfast restaurant on the same street (which was recommended by Yelp) but despite driving up and down I couldn't find it. When I saw VC packed with large tables of customers, I figured it was as good a recommendation for the food!I wasn't wrong! I had the Chicken Verde Skillet (Wednesday special). The chicken was caramelized and juicy, the red and green bell peppers tender, the red onion tasty, the salsa verde savory without burning my mouth and whole avocado slices and sour cream on top complemented it perfectly! Although I am not a bread or potato fan, the fried potatoes were delicious and perfectly tender, and the rye toast was just the right amount of crispy brown. The coffee was coffee and it was hot and plentiful - flavorful when amended appropriately with the International Delight and sweetener provided. I like that the table was abundantly supplied with all the necessaries (utensils, condiments and napkins) to use at my discretion. And the ever present hum of happy patrons lasted throughout my breakfast. I can say with confidence, this is a place I will visit again if I have a chance. There's so much more goodness on the menu!"
"I have been to their Newport/Costa Mesa location a few times and I find myself coming back to this location more often. Both locations make my favorite Hometown Latte well, but I prefer the open space at this Santa Ana location better. The parking sucks here, even though you can park inside the parking structure at the apartments here, I often find that the doors at the parking structure to get into the building is locked. Perhaps I come too early in the morning... but it is an annoyance to deal with. Other than that, if you can find the few street parking off to the side, then I think this location is better compared to Newport/Costa Mesa.People working here are friendly. I love how I can sit in the way back away from everyone and enjoy the bright an open space with my hubby. Keep it up, Huskins!"
"OVERALL : I've been going to Lagu for years now and they never disappoint. The shop is super small with only about 2 tables, but always cozy and friendly. More of a takeout than dine in spot. They're essentially a Japanese deli and their menu is pretty simple with several types of onigiri, bread/sandos, and coffee/matcha. Pricing is not bad either at $7.50 for an onigiri set, although the breads for the same price can seem pretty pricey. However the bread is well worth the cost, especially the mentaiko one! I didn't get it this time, but def craving it for next time. PARKING :Located in a business plaza where local shops can rent out small shops to run their businesses (not busy) with a shared parking lot -- very low-key but the store is clearly labeled so you won't have an issue locating it!FOOD/DRINKS :Onigiri Set (can mix and match) - 2 Onigiri and pickled vegetables per set:- Salmon- Mentai Mayo+- Tuna Mayo- Pepper ChashuBanana Creme Matcha Latte - banana matcha latte, topped with banana white chocolate foam and Nilla cookie crumbles -- def a sweeter / milkier matcha drink bc of the banana flavor profile, but it was really pleasant for an afternoon treat! The banana went really well w the matcha and the nilla cookie crumbles added some texture to the drink"
"Another day another boba spot with me. This store has the cute theme of sloth everywhere haha Love it!Highlights of the menu:1. Oolong milk tea w egg pudding x 22. Matcha latte3. Taro latte4. Peach tea"
"Food was really good and really good service. You have to try the granola pancakes. I will definitely be coming back."
"First time here , and we all loved it.Fresh warm conchas served and the service and food amazing. Also, Paola our waitress was really sweet and gave us an amazing service. The hubby and I are definitely coming back."
"*Hidden gem In uptown Whittier *I was in the mood for some chilaquiles and this place had exactly what I was hoping for.The plate has a nice presentation, and great flavor. Go for the green! We were seated fairly quickly and the service was on point too. It's a family environment. You can enjoy a nice conversation while you eat.Visit this place if you're craving a Mexican style breakfast as I'm sure all the other options are just as delicious."
"Incredible dedicated gluten free breakfast/lunch place. Blown away by the made to order cinnamon rolls hot out of the oven on a cast iron skillet, and their out of this world sourdough bread. I've been a gf baker for 20 years and my daughter works in a gf bakery. I am very impressed with the taste and texture of their bread, and my son, the gluten eater agrees! The staff is lovely, and it's a beautiful location inside and out. Lots of little touches of love throughout. Everything is fresh and from scratch, and it shows. The tartines and the American breakfast are fab! Also, the thickly sliced smoked bacon, hello, maybe the best we've ever had.I had the pleasure of eating there twice before heading back to the Bay and I miss it already. Fortunately for me, I was able to make room for their giant sourdough loaf in my carry on!"
"My favorite breakfast spot to come to in diamond bar. I would say that the food is very authentic and full of flavor. My absolute favorite item on the menu is the A La Mexicana burrito. And their red salsa ughhh soo bomb. I get this every time. I substitute beans for bacon and avocado if you love spice get this. A service is always great. Every server is very attentive and they have a team effort here as far as the ambience, it's always very clean, they always have the best music playing, and my favorite is their chalkboard with all the stuff on their menu."
"My go to spot when I'm at work in Costa Mesa. The Galactic is my favorite but their other sandwiches are really good too."
"TL;DR: Packed dog-friendly brunch spot with good food, vibes, and friendly staff--but chaotic service led to forgotten orders. Worth another shot if they can improve their system. We made a reservation for ten people at 11 AM on a Sunday, knowing it'd be packed during brunch hour--and packed it was. Most of the seating is outdoors, with a few tables inside, and it's a dog-friendly spot, which is always a nice bonus. The atmosphere was bustling, especially in the outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, the chaos seemed to take a toll on the service. A couple of orders from our party were forgotten entirely. We had to flag down the servers to check on them, and it seemed like the dishes had to be remade from scratch because by the time they arrived, most of us had already finished eating. Definitely disappointing, especially since the food itself tasted solid. The crab cake benedict in particular was standout, & their lychee white sangria was refreshing. Prices were average for a brunch spot, and the staff were friendly and genuinely seemed to be doing their best. Still, the hectic environment clearly affected their ability to handle the crowd smoothly.I really wanted to give this place a higher rating because the food was good, but forgetting not one but two of our party's orders is hard to overlook. I understand brunch hour can be overwhelming, though, and I'd be willing to give it another try in the future under less chaotic circumstances."
"Best bagels in Huntington Beach. They are fresh everyday, you can tell! Good flavors. A lot of options whatever you are feeling. They also have fresh squeezed juices and boba. Busy in the mornings because it's a well known neighborhood spot, but the service is efficient."
"The best coffee shop!!! People who work there and there coffee are the best. Sleek modern design inside. Simplicity at its best. The coffee, food and service are top notch. Great neighborhood addition."
"Had a burrito and club sandwich. Solid! Nicest wait staff, reasonable prices and lovely view of the lake.Ok...listen people. I love coffee. It doesn't have to be the finest, just decent. It needs to taste like coffee. This is the worst tasting shite I have ever had. PLEASE do something about this!Thank you"
"I'm the type to not hold back when it comes to spilling the TEA on hyped up boba spots, and as a Taiwanese person with VERY picky taste in boba, I genuinely think @bengongstea.irvine might be one of the BEST boba shop openings lately! This Chinese chain specializes in authentically brewed Chinese teas, and you can really taste the difference in the strength and fragrance of their milk teas. I also enjoyed their fruit drinks, which are crafted from real fruit and are a refreshing alternative to their more creamy milk tea drinks. There was a bit of a wait for our drinks (probably because of how large the order was), but it was definitely not super busy on a weekend afternoon, and I would highly recommend checking them out before it becomes hyped up. If you're in the area, HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend checking them out for a menu that does both milk and fruit teas well!Featured here: mango pomelo sago Golden sesame milk slush Passionfruit sparkling tea Osmanthus rice milk tea Peach yakult tea Taro purple rice tea Strawberry cheese slush"
"I was near by Coffee Up Roastery, so I stopped by to try it.The coffee shop is spacious. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee Up Roastery has warm and cozy vibes. I was happy to see a book shelf full of board games that can keep you entertained while you are enjoying your delicious drink (I love board games)The savory menu includes sandwiches, and salads. The coffe shop also has a wide selection of refreshing drinks. To mention a few, seasonal drinks, classic coffee, creme Up variety of drinks, Matcha drinks, interesting and delicious world inspired drinks, decaffeinated coffee. In addition to fresh goodies from their bakery menu.I ordered the following;-The Mayan Spiced Mocha 5/5 espresso mixed with ground chocolate laced with fragrant spices such as cocoa liquor, real vanilla, almond and cinnamonI am in love with this drink. It has perfect balance of coffee and chocolate with silky texture.- The Biscoff 4.5/5is a short vanilla latte made creamy with melted biscoff butter and topped with vanilla creme, cookie crumbles, and caramel drizzle, topped with a biscoff biscuit. The drink was refreshing and rich.-Hot The creme Brulatte 5/5Espresso mixed with vanilla custard torched for a layer of sweet, caramelized crunch. One of my favorite drink! I loved the pleasant aroma, the perfect sweetness and the rich flavor.- strawberry Matcha Latte 3.5 /5It was not my favorite. It was just okay, but It needed some balance between the matcha and the strawberry. The barista was very welcoming and friendly. The service was top notch. It is a great coffee shop to visit, enjoy your drinks and receive a top notch service."
"What a lovely addition to 17th street brunch options! Came on a Saturday to quite a long line. Basically memorized the menu by the time I got to the front. Our party enjoyed a variety of items that were all delicious and were satisfied with. The ambiance is nice and service is good. Coffees were also good with options of housemade syrups. Also have a delicious case of baked goods. We will be back here!"
