"The Family and I had lunch yesterday at Telefèric Barcelona. We arrived around 12;30 without a reservation. The restaurant was buzzing but I wasn't surprised. The weather was beautiful after three days of rain and people were out and about. We have been to tapas restaurants before and it is one of our favorite kinds of food and dining experiences. The concept of sharing a dish or small bites isn't foreign to us. Although, I have to say that Telefèric Barcelona is probably the closest the Family and I will get to Barcelona for now. The footprint of the restaurant is pretty small and beautifully decorated. It is a comfortable unpretentious environment. The menu is just as comforting and unpretentious. It was hard to choose what to eat. So many things on the menu had my imagination soaring. While we were trying to decide on what to order, our server, Biel arrived. He asked if we had been to Telefèric Barcelona. For the Mrs. it was the second time. The Mrs. and I started off with two Margaritas. They were really good and the bartender made them from scratch. No mix! We then moved on to the food. Starting with Crab Croquetas which were topped with tuna sashimi and spicy aioli. Next were the Empanadas stuffed with roasted chicken and served with spicy aioli. The presentation was innovative and the flavor and texture were incredible. I would describe the Empanadas as more of a fried ravioli in their appearance. We then moved on to a Paella Bomb which Paella arancino(rice) filled with shrimp bisque that you inject into the dish yourself. Being able to inject the bisque was a fun way to engage with the dish. The Mrs. and I shared the Prime Wellington from the Platos menu. Telefèric Barcelona's take on Beef Wellington keeps the tradition of the dish but with better flavors in my view. Braised short ribs wrapped Ibérico ham and encased in a flaky puff pastry roll, served with Spanish-style potatoes. The Wellington was delivered and injected by the food runner with a large metal syringe that held the beef demi glacé. We loved it! I have to say that you CANNOT dine at Telefèric Barcelona without having the Wellington. My daughter ordered the Gambellini which were the most delicate ravioli I've ever tasted. They were stuffed with shrimp and bacon. The sauce that accompanied the ravioli was so light and rich. For dessert we shared the Trío selection of Telefèric's most popular desserts: churros, torrija and "Flan & Coffee". Ice cream was included to add to the richness of each dessert. The "Flan & Coffee" were my favorite. The pace of our meal was perfect. We didn't feel rushed at all which I know is a concept in the Spanish dining experience that many Americans don't embrace in their gastronomical lives. It was also great to hear Castilian Spanish being spoken. The service we received from Biel and the rest of the staff we interacted with was great. I look forward to returning to Telefèric Barcelona."
"We had the absolute best experience at El Torito for Sunday brunch, all thanks to Ernesto! From the moment we were seated, he made sure our party of 8 celebrating a birthday felt completely taken care of.Ernesto was attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient--he never missed a beat, keeping our drinks full, ensuring we had everything we needed, and doing it all with such a warm and welcoming attitude. He made the birthday celebration even more special with his genuine hospitality and top-notch service. If you're dining at El Torito, ask for Ernesto--he truly goes above and beyond! We'll definitely be back, and he'll be a big reason why. Thank you, Ernesto, for making our brunch so memorable!"

"Awesome food, drinks and service. We got drinks, crab cake bites, burgers and desserts."
"Had a great first experience here! The staff was so welcoming and nice. Nikki was our server, and she was amazing! The food was delicious. I had the pasta with sausage and tomato cream sauce. They gave a lot of sausage! They give focaccia bread with your meal with a side of creamy balsamic. Amazing!I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes :)"
"We went here for my moms birthday! It was simple tomake a reservation online and you can put any special requests or messages and I put we were celebrating a birthday and everyone greeted my mom when we got there which was great. Our server was also super helpful with suggestions of the menu. They give complimentary sourdough bread w butter which was delicious. We started off with calamari which was crispy and yummy. I got the salmon which was paired with gnocchi and corn SO GOOD! The salmon piece itself was big enough where I could take it for leftovers. We didn't ask but they ended up giving us a little cake w ice cream and a candle for my mom's birthday which was super sweet."
"Food overall was okay. Filet Mignon tasted better than Asada. The Shredded Beef taquitos appetizer is very good. Guacamole not impressed. Ceviche way over priced $25 for 3 very small portions. Tacos were okay, tortillas were way too greasy. Transferred to flour tortillas. The green salsa is very good and tasty!Ambiance for Sat night after 5pm was great. Super busy for small place and great music and choice of music. The bar was full and no empty space.Service was decent. Did not clear plates enough especially for very small tables. Reservation for sisters bday of 8 people and they awkwardly place one square and one round table together. Not convenient, or logical."
"I came to this night club after dinner with my hubby & BFF. I didn't know what to expect as we pulled up to the parking lot. I was happy to see lots of cars besides our but the best part was that there were still plenty of parking left for us. This seems adventurous because we all can't speak Spanish & we're going to a new Hispanic Night Club in town!As I walked up to the entrance of this night club; their security stopped me to check my bag. He says that it was protocol but was very nice about it. As you know most security guards could come off very intimidating. After the past the bag check; a waitress promptly greeted us & took us to our seats near the stage where the live full band was playing. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed so we were only able to order drinks & enjoy the live music. I went to the restroom to wash my hands before our drinks cans out; to my surprised; it was very happy that it was fresh & clean! The music got me to stay a little longer even though I didn't have anything to much on. They were very good at what they did! I enjoyed every beat but was too shy to go up to dance on the dance floor all by myself. My husband's friend Jorge came yo our table to join us! He was very cool! Jorge broke the ice & brought us to the dance floor to take some selfies for memories! I thought it was cute that he asked me to text him the photos to share with his wife. I will definitely come back next time with our friends to taste their foods & dance the night away to the awesome music that their live band played."
"I strolled into Bourbon St. on Sunday. A few gents were watching a playoff game on TV. Jacob, the bartender, kept the bar clean, took orders promptly, and engaged occasionally in congenial conversation with what appeared to be the regulars for a Sunday afternoon.Jacob took my order shortly after I sat down. His demeanor and self presentation were well suited for this bar & the line of work. I don't drink much, so I simply asked for a pineapple juice. Jacob poured the glass, served the glass, and took my money more expediently than most bartenders--even during a slower time of night. The juice kept me loose too.5 stars. A solid & sufficiently staffed bar."
"I highly recommend this place, we were able to get a reservation for five people the week before our friend's birthday. Food comes out very fresh and pretty quick, but that did not diminish the quality of the food! I highly recommend starting with the escargot and the baked brie, they were absolutely fantastic and came with a wonderful crispy baguette. As for the food, we decided to share multiple plates of food. We had the boef bourginion (great flavor and we added the pasta on the side), the cream and garlic mussels (incredibly succulent and oh so worth it), the marinier mussels (not as good as the cream, but still good!), the mac and cheese (an absolute MUST try, it was so good), and the fries with all of their sauces. I also highly recommend their drinks (all of them) as they are incredibly well balanced and paired well with all of our food! This place is a must for birthdays, they celebrate you and make you feel incredibly special. I would come back in a heartbeat!"
"They changed the Saturday nights to no longer being a gay club. So I have g been there. But maybe still good."
"Surprise! Another 5-star, Taco Tuesday, evening, at Treehouse! This time we had a server by the name of Jackie! WOW! She is a valuable asset. We had a group of 4 out back by the fire pit. She was often checking on us before taco plates were emptied and beer glasses had gone dry. She remembered all of our orders correctly and who ordered them. Please keep her scheduled on Tuesdays! Lol. We keep falling in love with this place, over and over."
"FIRST visit:Dark, classic 'ol school vibes restaurant serving good fares; great place for groups or date night * FARES feasted on: === Apps: Cauliflower, Truffle fries === Steak with frites: inhaled my dish, medium rare was as expected and hit the spot === Brunchfest Burrito: ginormous and delicious === Chix & Waffles: unfortunately while large portions, the waffles were drenched in syrup and too overly sweet (good idea would be to serve syrup on the side); "chix" was good and their whipped black pepper butter was freakin yums === Avocado Toast: great option for vegetarians* FRIENDLY service: Yes* FRESH air seating outside? N/A* FAIR pricing: Yes, definitely* FEE processing: None. Accepts credit cards* FREE parking: Yes, small lot but lots of other free parking in Old Towne area* FYI: Great dining choice if you're in the mood for classic American fare (few cute shops in the area), they even have private dining room option upstairs FOUR 1/2 stars **** '"

One of my friends recommended eating here for a celebration, and I am sooo glad she did. I hadn't heard of it before and had no idea what to expect. We arrived during the late afternoon, so the sun was setting and this place looked gorgeous on the outside and the inside. The furniture was beautiful as well, and it set the mood for what was to come. Service was good, but there were moments they were trying to take our food too early. After that, they stopped taking the plates out or stopping by our table, and we were desperate for water. Luckily, the food was absolutely amazing so I still will give it 5 stars. I just wish the dishes were bigger, but they are tapas. What we ordered:Crab Croquetas: this was so goooood! It was the perfect amount of crunchy and creamy.Patatas Bravas: the flavor on this was also amazing. There's cream with a tomato-ish sauce.Empanadas: the empanadas reminded me more of fried wontons with a different flavor to it. I liked this with the sauce, but would probably skip this and order something else next time. Prime Wellington: the mix of the puff pastry, sauce, and short ribs was perfect. The potatoes that it comes with were also delicious!! It was so crispy and light. Paella Mixta: this was definitely the star of the show. I haven't had a good paella in a while, and I loved how crispy the rice was in the pan. We devoured all the dishes, but especially this one. Soooo good. I can't wait to go back and try new things (and get some of the dishes we already had)!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Parker's Lighthouse as my brother was craving oysters, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. Our server, Micaela, was exceptional -- attentive but never overbearing, providing just the right amount of attention throughout the evening. She was friendly, kind, and patient while giving excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes, adding a personal touch that made our dinner even more memorable. The food was outstanding. We started with brussel sprouts and one dozen oysters. The brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and well balanced in a honey citrus sauce. The oysters were fresh, clean, and briny. Whether enjoying them raw or with a little extra garnish, they truly stood out.We followed by a seafood grill that was fresh and expertly prepared. The sashimi was impeccable -- the fish was incredibly fresh, and each bite was a delight. Hats off to Chef Luna and the entire kitchen team for their skillful presentation and remarkable flavors. As dessert lovers, we order 2 desserts; the crème brûlée and cheesecake. Both were absolutely divine-- the crème brûlée had the perfect balance of rich custard and a crisp caramelized top, while the cheesecake was velvety and decadent. To pair with dessert, Micaela recommended a wine and espresso martinis, which complemented the flavors beautifully. What truly stood out was the overall experience. My brother and I don't get much quality time as we live far away from each other; the atmosphere, impeccable service, and food made our evening wholesome. We enjoyed catching up and lost track of time that we stayed for about four hours enjoying a great meal with cocktails. In addition, at the end of dinner we decided to have another glass of wine, however I was craving bread with butter (we didn't see this on the menu) to pair with our last drink. Upon asking, Micaela said they do offer them and brought us a fresh batch of warm sourdough rolls and honey whipped butter. This was our first visit, and it definitely exceeded all expectations. We are already looking forward to returning with our parents as they are seafood lovers too. Thank you to Micaela, Chef Luna, and the entire Parker's Lighthouse team for making this an outstanding dining experience!

I recently visited Palmillo in Newport and had an unforgettable dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is breathtaking, with its beautiful design, stunning architecture, and abundant natural light flooding the space.A special shoutout to Louie, who was both professional and personable, making my time there even more enjoyable. The highlight of the lunch was the watermelon mojito, which was a delightful mix of lime and watermelon flavors--absolutely refreshing! For my main course, I chose the turf and surf enchiladas, and they were nothing short of amazing. The seasonings and sauces were perfectly balanced, making every bite a delightful experience. I would certainly order the same dish again on my next visit. What I didn't like was the chips. They smell and tasted stale and I'm not sure if it's the chip or the oil that fried them. I encourage the staff to double check to make sure the chips are always fresh.Overall, Palmillo offers a wonderful dining experience with its excellent service, delicious drinks, and mouth-watering dishes. Highly recommended!---

It's like a Mexican Hooters but the food is very good and he staff is actually very nice and professional. It's at times hard to hear the person sitting next to you due to the fact that they have live music, other than that it's a very nice place to go eat and have a drink. Definitely recommend their Micheladas

Located in the heart of DTF.Next to what use to be known as "Commonwealth Lounge"Came here to Celebrate my cousins 40th Birthday. She had a few items set up buffet style. Food was delicious that included a chicken skewer, jambalaya, fettuccine, garlic toast to name a few.Drinks were strong. Associates were nice at the bar. Service was good. Pricing for the drinks seems to be like all prices around the bar area.Loving the Beautiful succulents & flowers on the wall in the outdoor patio. Big patio w lots of tables & seatings. Patio has a Tv mounted to the wall.Ambiance was a nice chill bar.Lots of parking availableHighly recommend this bar pub.

"The Alley has had some popular indie bands playing their scene, to be sure. A nice venue. Wahoo!"
"Was staying in the area and decided to have lunch here after reading some glowing reviews on Yelp. We were lucky to get parking in the tiny parking lot right in front, were immediately greeted and seated. We shared the blistered shishito peppers appetizer, which was served piping hot on a cute little iron skillet. My husband had the tri tip sandwich and I chose the spicy seafood pasta. Although my dish was not spicy to me, it was flavorful and delicious; with huge pieces of fish, shrimp, calamari and mussels. Portions are large and pricing is reasonable for the area. Service was great as well. Overall had a nice experience!"
"I don't visit the The Wayfarer often, but when I do I always have a good time. The food is worth a visit in its own right. The pulled pork sliders, for instance, are a thing of beauty. I've never had better pulled pork anywhere and heaven knows I've eaten my share of it over the years. The service is friendly and on the ball every time. Ambience wise, it's a roomy, comfortable place with lots of places to sit. I like to sit at the bar, but that's personal preference. Booze wise its full bar with a nice selection of craft beers. The place attracts some really good bands, including some that tour nationally. Last night, we saw Jerry Joseph. He was great. The Wayfarer is a good place worthy of your attention.Cheers!"
"Came here on a Friday night with some friends for dinner and drinks. I was shocked that at 8:30pm this place was so mellow because it's actually a really yummy and cute spot! It was tiki weekend which was really neat because they had all of these delicious tiki themed drinks! I ended up ordering the Mac n cheese because I had been recommended it before and tried one of the tiki themed drinks. Our server was so sweet she was dressed for the tiki theme too with seashells in her hair and necklace! She was on top of checking in on us and making sure we all were full on drinks and food. 10/10 will be back. This would be a really cute date spot too!!"
"I love Cha Cha's! We come here every so often and I pretty much always get the same thing - short ribs. They are so tender and flavorful. They have a bit of a kick to them. It's a good portion size too. Highly recommend.Another dish I really like is the three seafood enchiladas. I think it comes with crab, shrimp and one other thing (can't remember off the top of my head!). It's so good that I tried to recreate it at home but couldn't live up to Cha Cha's version. They have nice cocktails here too and a variety of seating options. There's indoor, patio and bar seating and they have heat lamps for when it's cold. It's a great mid- to nice-level Mexican/Latin restaurant and it's one of our regular rotations!"
"Best experience ever ! I've been to the El Monte location as well but Whittier didn't disappoint! Food was delicious drinks refreshing ! And the service was excellent! The ladies even helped my sisters out and played a song for my dad for Fathers Day ! Thank you ladies appreciate your hospitality"
"It's all about the Benedicts here at The Benediction by Toast, as evidenced by its name. Although some reviews warn about a long wait, I suppose my party and I were lucky to arrive around the tail end of rush hour and were seated right away. There's a spacious outdoor patio with more seating options but the excruciatingly hot weather kept us indoors. My friend and I shared the Mushroom Broccoli Benedict with a side of Hash Brown Chips and the Maple Bacon Pancake. The Benedict was tasty with perfectly poached eggs although there could've been more mushrooms in the dish. However, it was the hash brown chips that were the real star of the show. Thank goodness it came with a generous portion because I found myself shoveling them into my mouth without much thought throughout our meal. Unfortunately, the Maple Bacon Pancake was overly doughy towards the center with a gummy texture in the middle which I suspect was a result of its gargantuan size. I would skip this for a different pancake/waffle if you're craving something sweet. The Lavender Latte was my favorite part of the dining experience. Although it was 100 degrees that day, it didn't stop me from enjoying a freshly made hot latte with its nicely balanced floral flavor from the lavender."
"Food was okay to me! It was my first time trying it and I got the pasta which I feel like could have had more flavor. I've never had Brussels sprouts but these were good! The bread was also yummy, it isn't complimentary unfortunately so if you want to purchase it go ahead! Overall I'd give a 7.5/10 I've had better pasta and better bread. But it's all preferences I'm sure many people love this place!"
"It was the day after Christmas and we were wiped out from the night prior of festivities. We were ready for a chill day with zero cooking and chores. We were seated in a booth, which I love. Super cozy.Lasagna sounded really good about now. And our brain was definitely hankering for comfort food. We started with soup. Minestrone for him. And I had the Onion soup - and it was quite a meal - with a hunk of bread and melted cheese. Husband and I shared: the Lasagna - layers of pasta, ground beef, Italian sausage, spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, garlic and spices with meat sauce. served right out of the oven on in a casserole dish, best way as it retains its heat throughout of meal.Cauliflower fritti - fried florette served on a bed of romaine lettuce and with garlic aioli (we love a good veggie dish!)The bread basket tells a lot about the restaurant. The basket was filled with herb focaccia, not just a boring white bread! I had a glass of Sangiovese, Caparzo, husband chose the house Chianti. What a pairing!Service was nice and friendly. Our server constantly checked on us. For sure, we will come back so we can try the other dishes too! Buon appetito!* There is also a small bar towards the back and seatings available for those who prefer this."
"Review:This Korean BBQ spot is amazing! The meat is incredibly fresh, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The selection is fantastic, with plenty of options to satisfy everyone at the table. The grilling experience is fun and interactive, making it a great place to enjoy with friends or family. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring you always have what you need. If you're looking for delicious food and a memorable dining experience, this is the place to go!"
"Hands down the best place I have been in a while. Wouldn't miss it even on a Thursday!"
"Never knew this existed. Was in search for a fun, new brunch spot to celebrate my husband's Grandma and came across Vita. The restaurant is attached to Doubletree Hotel in Pomona. Plenty of parking, including an underground garage. So even when the outside lot looks full, keep looking and you'll find something.Happy we found this AYCE and drink Sunday champagne brunch. Seafood was the star of the show. Literally piles of lobster, shrimp, crab, oysters. standard breakfast items. carving station, pasta station, omelette station. Everything was delicious. I had a great conversation with one of the chefs at the pasta station. He told me an amazing story of how becoming a patron of the restaurant turned into his career. I truly appreciate seeing a passion for one's profession, especially when it is service related. Staff was gracious enough to let us stay and enjoy some of the music that was playing from a private party on the outside patio. Hands down will find another occasion to come back to Vita!"
"This restaurant is located inside the Ayres Hotel and actually has a separate exterior entrance if you aren't staying at the hotel. I live nearby and finally had a chance to stop in for dinner while my wife was having a night out with friends. It's small and clean with what I call a "hotel restaurant" look. It's an open room with bar on one end, a tv on the wall on the opposite end, and a few tables in-between. The hotel hallway is off to the side. Many reviews single out the excellent service provided by Makayla and yeah, she's spectacular.I ordered a pastrami sandwich with a side salad. I really wanted fries but my wife's voice was in my head saying "you really should get the side salad" so I did. I also got a glass of Two Vines Cabernet which was pretty good.A staff person brought out my plate and I was surprised to see fries instead of salad. Obviously this was a sign from God that this night away from my wife I deserved the fries. The potatoes were cut lengthwise, like jojos, only thinner. They were crunchy outside and soft inside and accompanied by a very delicious ketchup (made in-house) that had a flavor I detected as maybe...apple (?). Anyway, I loved these fries and refused the offer of a salad once Makayla saw the mixup. The pastrami sandwich was not so great even though the flavors were fantastic. The grilled rye, mustard, house-made pickles, and swiss cheese that accompanied the pastrami made it quite tasty. The pastrami, however, was the toughest I've had in my life. Like shoe leather. After picking the sandwich up and, after several attempts, failed to bite through the pastrami I resorted to knife and fork which, at times, was still a bit of a struggle. Chewing was a challenge as you can imagine. So unfortunate because otherwise this would have been a perfect sandwich and likely a five star review.Compared to other reviews this experience seems like an anomaly so I will return at some point and try another menu item. With fries."
"The food was so amazing! We haven't been here in a while because the quality of the food was not great. They've made some amazing improvements! We went for a brunch and both had the steak and potatoes. The hollandaise sauce was amazing, and it wasn't overwhelming. Next time I'll ask for an additional side of the hollandaise. The potatoes were beautifully seasoned with lots of spices. I cleaned my plate, it was so good!! We'll be coming back more often. Our waiter was so busy but regardless, attentive. Enjoyed that lots of natural light came in from the windows.Again the food was so good! We bought the back a round of beers."
"First visit, and we were with a group of 15. Wonderful ambiance, and very nice views of the bay, boats, and waterfront homes from inside, as well as the covered patio. They offer free valet parking (tips appreciated). We were there to take advantage of their Brunch menu.SERVICE: Larry waited on us, and the service was excellent, including all of the staff who assisted him. He was kind enough to provide separate checks for our group, and they didn't add a mandatory tip, as many restaurants do with larger parties. I suggest asking about this upfront, so there's no miscommunications.DRINKS: The brunch menu offers two options for bottomless mimosas: the Wycliff Sparkling Brut ($15), and the Le Chemin du Roi Brut ($30), along with orange, cranberry, and grapefruit juice mixers. The sparkling wines were tasty, as our party ordered both, and I was able to sample each. I, on the other hand, had a The Spicy Southern Bloody Mary ($16), which was loaded with bacon, olives, and a giant celery stalk. I also tried the Olé Fashioned with mezcal ($17). I thought that both cocktails were well made.FOOD: For a group of our size, all of the orders came out quick, hot, and the portions were plenty. My wife and I thought that the food was okay. Nothing was terrible, but nothing "wowed" us either. Could have used a little more seasoning all the way around. We tried the Bayside Continental ($24), which included a stack of three, very fluffy pancakes, two eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. The Bayside Benedicts have an option of smoked ham ($26), crab $29), or sautéed spinach ($24). The crab was in need of a little more seasoning. Finally, I had the Meat Lovers Omelette ($25), with bacon, Italian sausage, onion, mushroom, gruyere cheese, and a side of breakfast potatoes. A little salt and pepper, and this was good to go. I heard that the Chicken Barley Soup ($13) was very good, and the Lobster Salad Sandwich ($34) served open face, was okay.Overall, a nice brunch experience, and great service. I would definitely come back and give Bayside another try, maybe for dinner next time."
"Love 80s music?Love long lines and pay in cash to get in?Love having a small sticky dance floor?Besides the music and friends to meet up, I'm not a fan here. We were here for a friend's birthday party. Lots of problems we've encountered. #1 We weren't on the guest list. We waited 30 minutes on the side next to the ATM only to find out someone here didn't write our name down for our friends birthday party.#2 We sat down and was forced to move to a different part of the vip area. Our party was separated now into two groups. #3 The waitress insisted on keep our credit card. Why I don't know. We asked to sign the check immediately but that too took 30 minutes. 4 shots and 4 waters is $64 before tip. There were more problems but we try to keep positive while here celebrating our friend's birthday. The positives of the club was music video and sound were on sync and the guys guarding the vip area did their job well. Parking is impossible here. If you dont mind walking a bit across the main road into the residential area. You should be able to find some. Does anyone find it odd a tow truck business sits next door to here?"
"This place was a better listener than I was a communicater, waiter set drinks down as requested, but I misspoke when I said we will have two more when she's done... just not two more of these. He was great, but one of those boozy cocktails was enough. Edit: we drank the other two cocktails and they were fabulous, you can see from the picture served Neat and Strong.Food here is awesome, we ubered to the circle specifically to have drinks and eat at Bosscat, did not disappoint!"
"Went here for Taco Tuesday specials which are from 4pm until closing time and have tacos for $3 to $4.50. Good spot upstairs with views of the ocean and boardwalk, located across the PCH from the HB pier. There's also an elevator for accessibility directly into the restaurant. They allow dogs and you can even order a dish of cooked meat and kibble for small or large breeds. Summertime is busy and wait time can vary between 15 minutes to an hour on Tuesday nights. HB boardwalk also has their Surf City Nights, where they close down 3 blocks of Main Street (the downtown/boardwalk/pier) to host a community street fair and farmers market filled with local artisans, fresh produce, and live music performances. It's a lively night out with family and friends. Now onto the food at Fred's. My family ordered a smattering of tacos and the chicken taco salad ($19) with a side of rice and beans ($6). All tacos were decent sized ($3.50 to $6 for Taco Tuesday), mostly served on flour tortillas, and larger than your street tacos. It's definitely Americanized Calimex food, but hey you're more than likely here for the atmosphere. I also had the mango magarita and the cadillac margarita (with Grand Marnier). Both were good but pricey at $16+ each. Beers range from $6.50 up. Regular prices for their food is comparable to what you'd pay for casual beachside venues. The draw again is of course location, vibes, and view. And also the 80s music videos playing on their multiple LCD screens around the bar."
"Here's the low down on Happy Hour which runs until 6:30pmEXCELLENT- House Margarita (high quality; only $1 to make it a large- Birria Taco (packed full of flavor; big: amazing value too)- Chicken Wings (honey BBQ; nicely breaded)GREAT- GuacamoleGOOD- Wings (Habanero)- Queso Fundido (with Chorizo)- Quesadilla Parilla (hit or miss depending on day)AVERAGE- Wings (Buffalo)MEH- Beef Taquitos (flavorless stew meat; better get Birria)- Potato Taquitos (flavorless; helped by Tapatio)BONUS- side of corn cake- extra bean cheese dip for the chips"
"First thing I will say is the staff here was on their game, super helpful and attentive. They were nice enough to recommend a few dishes for my toddlers and we now know my 2 year old love chili verde. We got seated right away. While were there it was constant stream of people picking up to go orders as well. Seemed like a good amount of locals in the restaurant. And one of the things you don't find as much in locations as they dropped off two bowls of tortilla chips, and two salsas for a family of four at no charge. The chips were over cooked which is kind of a theme for the tortillas in our visit. However, I really did enjoy their salsa.I thought the beef tacos were solid. The meat was delicious but I will say the shell was way over cooked. The chili Verde I had was excellent. To me the beans were OK but I really like the rice.My wife wasn't a fan of really anything she had the beans and rice, chicken taco, which her shell was also overcooked. My girls worked on their meal they loved it. They had some pork tacos and a cheese quesadilla. And they really loved the beans. Overall, I'm gonna give it a four for the service and some of the food. They were definitely some things over cooked but overall some strong meals and good flavor. I've seen some of the reviews to talk about a bar it does seem like there's a second entrance to the location. So you've got sort of a dining area and then a bar area on the other side of the wall. Decor is a little dated, but hey, you're here for a good meal."
"After work hours on a Friday, this place gets packed. We waited about 40 minutes for a table of 8. Inside is also really loud, so it's a bit hard to hear people talk. I ordered the Baja Fish taco (default comes in 2, but you can order 3) and it comes with beans and rice. The beans and rice were small portions but were good. The Baja Fish tacos were delicious and the toppings were avocado, cabbage, sriracha aïoli, salsa roja, and cilantro. The fish was battered fried fish and was soft. Overall, the food was good, but only too loud inside. Recommendation(s):- Baja Fish TacosService: 5/5Tip(s):- Loud inside- Restrooms available- Waited about 40 minutes for a table"
"Very friendly and fast service! Amazing view of the harbor while you dine. Delicious fish and chips cooked just right. Love the tartar sauce!"
"We had family visiting and were staying at the Long Beach Holiday Inn, so we decided to dine at the restaurant on the top floor, which offers great city views. It was definitely crowded on a Wednesday evening, but we were seated promptly. Our group of 20 appreciated the separate checks, and it's worth noting that the restaurant is cashless, accepting only credit cards. The bar area had TVs, which was a nice touch for those interested in catching up on sports or news. I ordered the burger wrapped in lettuce with onion rings, and both were good--the onion rings were nice and crispy. My cousin had the Sarasota Shrimp Scampi, while other family members enjoyed dishes like Spaghetti Primavera, Linguine Alla Scampi, Chicken Parmigiana, and Chicken Piccata. Everyone enjoyed their meals.Service was good, and the combination of city views (forgot to take a picture) and delicious food made for a pleasant experience. I will definitely return."
