Burd Chicken Rice

The entree costs ~$14, around the normal price range for Hainan Chicken Rice. Got the Classic Burd + Cane Pom combo for ~$20, portion was just enough for one. Cane Pom was sour and overpowering the flavor of sugar cane, I preferred 50/50 (coconut + cane) for a more refreshing flavor of sugar cane. Drink is made fresh at the time of order, the worker brings sugarcane out from the back. It's all natural flavor, definitely a healthy alternative drink to combo with the entree. The rice was moist and chicken was tender and fresh. The two comboed well with the sauce and resulting in a flavorful meal.The soup was one of the best I've had at a Hainan Chicken Rice restaurant. It was well-seasoned with a slight kick of ginger and cilantro. Drink: 3/5, Chicken/Rice: 4.5/5, Soup: 5/5

The ambiance is laid back and really a comfortable place. However, I get my food to go. I ordered the chicken and rice. I usually get my Hainan chicken from Savoy. Though, what the heck lets try this place. The rice is aaaamaaaziinng! Really delicious. The spicy fish sauce type seasoning is delicious too. The chicken for me was either poached too light or underseasoned. It had a real fowl smell (pun intended). I will return for the rice.

The food is always fresh made to order and the service is great. They have fresh sugarcane drinks as well and I think it is a must to add to your meal!

Y'all don't be sleeping on this place. They packing flavor town. The brown sauce is sooooooo good. The scallion sauce is good too but I like the brown sauce more. I've never been crazy about hainan chicken before until now. Will def be coming back very soon!

Was looking for a place to get some work done and have a healthy lunch. This spot had flavored drinks AND meals. I haven't had Hainanese chicken in a while so it was great to check this spot out.AMBIANCE:Parking: Plaza parking. I didn't have any issues.Seating: Outside and inside seating. Generally great for groups and room for about 30 people.Vibes: You're in the West Covina area so there are a lot of good eats here and there. There is a movie theater plaza but right across is an area for more good eats, such as Burd Chicken Rice. The place itself is pretty spacious, vibrant, and the pop music can be pretty loud. Great place to socialize however if you need a place to get work done, they got wifi!FOOD:Mix Burd (Classic & Lemongrass) + Dark Meat - (Recommend)Deeeeelicious! From the rice, the chicken meats, and to the sauce! The rice was soft and moist, chicken was juicy and calmly flavorful, and the sauces gave a pleasant kick to the meal from a nice bite from ginger to a subtle sweet flavor. The broth gives it a nice touch between bites. I thought the dark meat was crispy chicken but I was wrong.Cane O Matcha (Recommend)Pleasant! These are some tasty chicken and rice meals and refreshing, sweet drinks!I was in the area for lunch when I came across Burd Chicken Rice on Yelp. The menu and reviews intrigued me and made me hungry. Most of the menu featured dark meat chicken, and the Lemongrass Burrito caught my eye. I placed my order, which arrived at our table in a few minutes. The burrito had a delicious and clean flavor. The chicken was tender, the rice was nicely seasoned, and the veggies added a fresh texture. The ginger scallion sauce added a punch of acidity that complimented it well. My friend enjoyed his Mix Burd Plate, which included classic and lemongrass chicken. After our meal, I decided to try the Cane Passion drink for the drive home. It was refreshing and sweet. It was my first time here, and it was a pleasant experience with friendly staff and clean dining areas. I hope to return to the area to try more items or get that burrito again!

I visited many times Burd Chicken Rice.The customer service is Top Notch.The staff are always very friendly and genuinely warm. The place is always spotless.I ordered some of my favorite dishes as;- Mixed Burd; 5/5It's combination of dark and white meat. The chicken is very juicy and tasty.It comes with a very delicious and fragrant yellow rice, shredded cabbage, ginger scallion sauce and soup. - Cracking skins; 5/5Deep fried chicken skin served. It is very crispy and yummy. It comes with its sauce.- Burd Egg Rolls, 5/5Three crispy and fried egg rolls filled with chicken, carrots, cabbage, and Vermicelli.They came with sweet chili sauce.The food is outstanding. It was very sweet and thoughtful of the staff to leave a thank you note.It's a great place to go to and have a hearty meal.

Let me start with $12 for pure cane juice? I think that is way too expensive. I got the kumquat cane juice. I have had my fair share of fresh sugar cane juice my entire life and I have to give this drink a 1 star. Im unsure if the sugar cane was old, but the juice tasted thick and pressed a while ago.Press sugar cane juice is not supposed to taste thick. My chicken was partially cold which I didn't expect especially because it was grilled? The flavor was very very subtle and the chicken was moist. The rice was made perfectly, I thought there would be some flavor as Hainan rice plates are usually aromatic. Chili ginger sauce was 5/5. The ginger scallion sauce 1/5. There was little to no flavor, it needed some salt. I think a positive thing about this experience was the person who took my order was very kind and nice. Parking is in front of the store in a lot.

Decided to give Burd Chicken Rice a try after seeing them on Yelp a few times. Not bad for Hainan Chicken in the area! They also had 30% off drinks if you combo it with a meal. Mixed Burd: Half Classic, Half Lemongrass. We thought the Lemongrass was better out of the two. Good amount of rice and I like that they also include a bed of lettuce. Krispy Burd: The crispiness seemed to get soggy fast. I think maybe because the batter was light and the chicken was sliced too thin? Wish it was more crispier. Cane-O-Matcha: Surprisingly not bad. I thought it was going to be weird because I've never seen Oat milk mixed in with sugarcane juice before. Think of it more like an ice Matcha latte. Overall, clean restaurant with friendly staff and quick service. Location is kind of in a off spot, but there's plenty of parking and a few other local restaurants in the area.

I would recommend! my chicken wrap was very good and the sauce on the side was delicious, on the pricier side but what isn't nowadays!
