Buccaneer Pizza

I had a great experience at Buccaneer Pizza! Greg was amazing--he took the time to explain the menu and was so patient, making me feel comfortable without rushing me. I ordered one skull at first then came back for 3, they were that good! The pizza was absolutely delicious, some of the best I've had.However, the other employee wasn't as friendly. She seemed bothered while taking my friends' order and was rude for no reason. I believe her name was Steph (can't remember) I understand people have bad days but I don't understand why you are taking it out on a first time customer??? Despite that, Greg's excellent service made up for it. I'll definitely be back for the great food!

Every Saturday, my wife and I have "bad movie night". The usual meal is pizza and salad. Dominoes just does not cut it. Buccaneer Pizza is only a few minutes away. Here's some pros and cons:Pros:They make very good pizza. They don't skip in the ingredients. The crust is good. They have a wide variety of toppings. They have my favorite combo garlic and basil. If my car smells like garlic the next morning they did it right. My order is hot when I arrive and it has never been late. Cons:Okay, Villa Park is pretty upscale so I don't expect things to be as cheap as Orange. However, a personal salad, and a medium pizza with custom toppings, pickup ,for $40 (with tip) is hard to swallow. There was a pizza place on Chapman called Magic Mikes with similar pricing. They went out of business. They have a pretty limited selection of pasta dishes. Sometimes it would be nice to have cheese ravioli. No such luckAt the time I pick up the pizza, parking is iffy. That's not their fault, obviously, but it something customers have to deal with.Will I continue to get my takeout pizza there? Sure. Will I continue to grouse about the price? You bet. Come on guys, for $40 you can throw in some garlic bread.

Ordered a half pepperoni jalapeño and half sausage mushroom pie, along with chicken Alfredo pasta with garlic bread. I was pleasantly surprised! Very solid pizza and pasta!Ingredients taste pretty fresh and the dough is pretty soft and has a hint of sweetness, while the tomato sauce has a little kick. Each bite felt heavy (Not a bad thing) was full of cheese, toppings, sauce, and dough.Definitely better than any other corporate pizza chain (Pizza Hut, Dominos, etc.)

Second time trying Buccaneer Pizza. The first time was better. We got a large cheese pizza and it was delicious. Second time we ordered a cheese pizza and it was not good. It was burnt and over cooked. There was black on the crust. And under the pizza was black. I could even eat it. The crust and dough was burnt. Disappointed.My salad was fresh. It had a lot of fresh fruit on top. But the dressing didn't really complement the salad fixings. The salad was a miss for me. Overall, seems like hit or miss. We had a really good experience the first time we ordered from here. And second time was not good. Bad experience second time around.

This was pizza heaven for me. Extra cheesy and pure chaos. One bite forced me to shovel each slice down the hatch. The garlic knot ls and the garlic bread were killer too! Definitely coming back

Quality is everything! Ordered two pizza's some yummy wings and could not go without garlic bread. Wish I would have taken pictures. If you enjoyed cheese, every bite speaks for itself. We ordered for delivery, they were so helpful in making our selection. No wait over the phone and delivered earlier than estimated time. Overall great service and delicious food.

Buccaneer is a bit on the pricey side for pizza but you are paying up for good quality (and quantity of) ingredients and a consistently delicious pizza. Recently (April 2024) ordered a medium Hawaiian pizza (pineapple and Canadian bacon; $24) and I can't lie, every bite was good including the crust. Perfectly chewy bread that wasn't too doughy, nice layer of sauce that wasn't too sweet, healthy layer of cheese, with enough ham and pineapple to fully cover the entire pie - no skimping on toppings here (you get what you pay for!). A medium is 8 slices and great for 1 person to have leftovers, or split between two people with there are other snacks around and no leftovers. Buccaneer might be too expensive to order 5 pizzas to feed a group, but for an individual "splurge" pie or two, I think it's worth it.

Amazing pizza and friendly service always, always a treat when I bring Buccaneer pizza to a party and everyone loves it. I love coming here for a slice of pizza and cold beer, however recently went through a prison themed gut job renovation so every time I ate pizza here it feels like I just did time. What's UP with that??

On Sat, 01-04-2025 at 6:22 pm, I placed an online order for delivery of a medium 2.5 topping pizza and side order of 2 meatballs. At 6:59 pm, I got an email saying the food was out for delivery. I called at 630 asking g where the delivery guy was. All they could say was that it was out for delivery. Didn't receive the food until 7:43 pm. Delivery guy said it was only 45 minutes since we n placed the order...DUUHHH... Food was cold, and the pizza crust was very soft and chewy. Not delicious, and way overpriced...over $37... so it took 1 hour and 20 minutes for delivery of mediocre food..I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUCCANEER PIZZA IN SANTA ANA. Pizza Hut is a better option...

This is the first bad yelp review I have written. Me and my family came at 6:41 pm today 2/17/25 order two pizzas and wings we waited 50 minutes and decided to check on what's taking so long. The lady at the counter said they put it as to go, which is really weird because she was taking our order. We got a refund and not pleased as it was our first experience there and our last. Which sucks because I really wanted to try it out too. The place was super clean and empty which there was no excuse for them not to acknowledge why we weren't even helped!
