Wait time was over an hour so we waited in the car cause it was chilly and finally decided to go check to see where we're at and there were plenty of tables open... weird. The service was eh ok.. the food made up for it. Food was great! Their breakfast potatoes are so good! BUT the food came out before the drinks. Our servers were nice and friendly(we had two I think a shift change happened). The bar was backed up. There's some weird energy going on with the service in there that's for sure. Not sure if I'd go back. Maybe for the potatoes lol

First time at this location and the food did not disappoint! I got the salmon, and chicken and waffle eggs Benedict- those perfectly done poached eggs and the hollandaise sauce "mu-ah!" so good!Super clean restaurant and nice booths! But- let's talk about the service! Literally most amazing server on the planet, ALICIA!!!-, served me and one of my besties. She was not only attentive and so personable, but funny and sweet and so engaging! She Just had the absolute best personality! It was my birthday yesterday and she made it a deal about it today- had the other guests in the restaurant singing happy birthday to me! It was amazing. (Embarrassing but amazing- loved every second). My friend and I are considering this being our new Tuesday spot- for yummy food, annnd Alicia!!

Cute breakfast place with solid breakfast foods.Broken Yolk is located in a huge plaza with other eateries.Menu is super large and has variety of breakfast and lunch items.The service was a bit slow when i went so they gave my coworkers and i complimentary blueberry muffins.I got the mom omlette with beans and blueberry muffin on the side.The omlette was large stuffed with veggies and cheese. They give you a decent amount of side of beans as well.Blueberry muffin was a little sweet but fluffy and super large.I do think snooze is more refined and better in my opinion, but broken yolk is solid with good portion.Would love to try the hash or pancakes my next visit!

Visited 3 times. And disappointed 3 times.Biscuits & Gravy: Biscuits were dry and flat. Gravy was cold and chalky.Chicken fried steak: Chicken was tiny and tasted pre-cooked the night before.Burger: burnt, flavorless.Lunch service is inconsistent. Was visited multiple times by servers. They asked but failed to see the empty water glasses. And never brought back extra napkins.The forks were filthy. With a crusted black dollop of something from previous use.

Service is not great this is our 3rd time visiting this location Joined the waitlist, once we arrived it changed 2 times which also happened one other time to us. Food was just okay our food all came out at different times, not too enjoyable. 2 of the times visiting we had the same server which we don't really like. She's very pushy and rushes everyone. Skips people and you have to ask if you can order. She's pretty nice at the end I guess hoping for that great TIP!We used to like the one over in Mission but so far this one in Irvine has not won us over. They ended up cramming us into a booth (6 of us) so we didn't have to wait a additional 30 mins! This is on top of the original 18-22min, then another 20min once we arrived and checked in then they wanted to add another 30min! Unbelievable! Management should really look into who is running the waitlist and also the food coming out continuously at different times and not even hot... just warm.

I always wanted to try broken yolk! I finally tried it and I was really craving a breakfast burrito. I looked on Yelp and someone didn't like the California breakfast burrito, but I enjoyed it! It was good and I subbed for sausage instead of bacon.The food was divine! Our server was nice and made sure our order was correct! The presentation of the breakfast was pretty and I love to see a good spread on the table and I loved it! We enjoyed our delicious food! Thank you!The French toast was amazing if you like coconut and sweet then this is perfect! First bite was a bit salty maybe I was not hydrated lol, but after it was so good! I tried my husband's fiesta burrito and it was good as well and it was the same salsa they gave me on the side of the California breakfast burrito! Overall, experience was very nice and good! We were excited to devour the food! Thank you for a good experience!

Yuridia our serve was wonderful and the entire staff was very friendly. I'm a chilaquiles girl and they did not disappoint. The french toast and egg benedict (chicken/waffle) were a hit too. They also have a point system which is cool if you're local. We will be back
