Best Happy Hour in town!It only took one time for us to try this place, and the rest is history. The staff is super attentive. After being there a few times, they know your name and your order. Drinks and food are on point! As a vegan, I appreciate the options I have. My friends who are not vegan, enjoy what they get. Our new favorite joint!

What a wonderful.and relaxing meal on a Sunday afternoon. Great food! Excellent cocktails! Service was stellar. Before Broken Spirits this spot was home to Portuguese Bend Distillery. We were regulars! Loved their food and cocktails! So pleased another Distillery moved in and more excited it's the same caliber. For food we started with the Brussel Sprouts, so good, highly recommend ordering even if you are in for just drinks. There we three of us, two of us ordered The Oscar (Tri-tip) Sandwhiches. It came with the most amazing housemade chips! The Tri-tip was tender and yummy! The other orderd the LB Pastrami, also served with the excellent house made chips. Everything was very delicious!Cocktails - one ordered an Old Fashion, another a Dirty Vodka Martini, and I had a Hazy IPA! Great drinks! Nice selection of beers!Definitely a great place for food and drinks!

Love this place! The ambience is so nice here. I would give it a solid 4.5 stars if I could. Service: 9/10It wasn't busy, so sat at the bar right away. Hostess was very friendly and brought us menus. Took a little bit to get acknowledged for drinks, but it wasn't a long wait. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Food: 7/10The food was either really great or really mediocre. First we decided on the beer, once I heard they only had house drafts, I had to get one. Unfortunately they only had IPAs and I'm not a fan, but they had a house lager and it was super flavorful. By far the best lager I've ever had in my life, puts modelo to shame I hate to say. It was very strong, I can usually order two pints and be fine, but that one put me to sleep when I got home. For appetizer I tried a small house salad with their miso dressing and the chicken wings. The salad was fresh and the dressing was perfectly made, the best substitute for vinaigrette for sure. The wings I usually order naked when there's no spicy dry rub available, then sauce on the side. They were very dry and overcooked, I still ate them because I was hungry, but I didn't finish them. Then the brisket chimi-cheese sandwich came out with the house chips and it was the most interesting sandwich I had in a long time. The chimi, cheese, meat and pickle ratio was perfect. And I hate pickles, but it went so well with their sandwich so I kept them on. The sourdough bread was toasted to perfection and provided a nice soft crunch along with the tender and oh-so-juicy meat, the sour tang of the pickles made for a perfect combination. The sides were not a hit. As much as I love fried brussel sprouts, these ones left a lot to be desired. The flavor profile was too complex to understand, but most of all the dish was overwhelmingly sweet and I was unable to enjoy it. The bacon was also very overcooked so the flavor was gone and it was just turning the dust in the mouth when chewed. The waffle fries were ok, seasoned very well, next time I'll ask for them to be cooked well done. Ambience: 10/10I LOVE the decor, the welcoming feel of the place, and open floor plan. The rock music was at the perfect level to enjoy but not overpower the mood. I'm definitely coming here again to try more of the food and hopefully get to try happy hour one day.

I really wanted to like this place since a friend recommended it, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The ambience was nice, but the service was disappointing. Our waitress wasn't very attentive. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy yet. We ordered a round of cocktails, and they brought us waters. I asked for straws, and while the waitress acknowledged the request, she never brought them. We eventually had to get them ourselves. For our meal, we ordered the Tri-Tip, two orders of Pork Belly Chicharron, a Peppercorn Burger with waffle fries, and the Birria Tacos. I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes. When the food arrived, the pork belly wasn't crispy like chicharron should be--it was chewy, more like the other pork belly dish on the menu. My friend also ordered another cocktail but had to ask twice before it finally arrived. Then, instead of mashed potatoes, they brought street corn. After pointing it out, they replaced it with the correct order.Overall, the food was just OK. My meal was bland, and I had to add salt for flavor. We were in a rush to leave, so I didn't realize until later that I had been charged for the street corn AND the mashed potatoes. That was on me for not checking, but it was frustrating that they didn't correct their mistake to begin with.Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

I came here a few times when this was Portuguese Bend and Broken Spirits seems to have elevated the menu. The happy hour is 2-6 PM and 9 PM-close. I didn't see food on the happy hour menu, but they have buy "Juan" get one free beer, wine, and specialty drinks. There's indoor and outdoor dog-friendly seating. We had the BBQ Chopped Salad, 1/2 LB. Texas Style Smoked Brisket, and Peppercorn Burger with Red Skin Potato Salad. The salad was good, the brisket melted in my mouth, and the burger was a beautiful union between Wagyu beef and House-made Bacon. The Hazy IPA also went well with the meal. Kat and the Manager were both friendly, accommodating, and delivered exceptional service.

After enjoying some adult beverages down the street, we were searching for restaurant for dinner. I yelped a few potentials and it narrowed down to the Broken Spirits Distillery. By unanimous family decision, we opted to take the short walk over.We were lucky we were able to be seated immediately since the restaurant already busy with folks when we were seated at 1705 hours. The first thing I noticed was how friendly and pleasant the staff were! After being shown our table, our server came by and introduced herself as Anna. She was very patient with us asking for more time to make pour decisions for our drinks and appetizer order. We finally settled on our drink order:3 - The Blacker the Berry (seltzer cocktails, 2 with added Vodka), 1 - I.H.O.B.S. (International House of Broken Spirits), 1 - Soda1 - Crusted Warm Brie + JamEntrees:2 - Piggy Smalls (Steak Burgers)1 - The Paso Robles (Tri-Tip Sandwich)1 - 1/2 lbs Pork Belly (Craft BBQ)1 - LB Pastrami (Sandwich)Our drinks were quickly dispatched to our table. It was really cool/fun to watch as our server, our my BIL's I.H.O.B.S cocktail from a mini syrup dispenser into his tumbler. I took a sip of this bourbon based cocktail. Holy S**t, this went down so smooth like sweet maple syrup with a bourbon flavor. That was one of the better cocktails I have had in my lifetime! I decided at that point, I would order one for my "dessert".My Blacker the Berry seltzer was good. Was advised there may have been a small amount of alcohol in it without the added vodka, and I was okay with that. I liked the taste of the berries used and it complemented my Piggy Smalls burger too.My wife like her Blacker the Berry with added vodka, my BIL's wife was kinda weirded out by the flavor of the vodka used. I took a sip of her and had to agree with her. It had the taste of tequila in the mouth, on the tastebuds, but after swallowing, has the aftertaste of vodka. We all enjoyed the Baked Brie with Jam a lot!! A very mild tasting small wheel of Brie, perfectly melted within its crust topped with the most delicious jam! The only downside was the kitchen is a bit stingy on the small toasted baguettes that accompany the Brie. We ended up with a good sized portion of cheese with no baguette to spread it on. SO we just ended up eating the cheese by itself. As for the entrees, our son liked his Piggy Smalls burger with waffle fries. As for my Piggy Smalls, it was ok. I wasn't overwhelmed by the burger. Sorry, it was ok, and unfortunately, as with all brioche buns (which I hate as a bun for a hamburger in general) broke apart and became so messy to eat, I finished it with a knife and fork. I ordered 3 Cheese Mac n Cheese as my accompanying side. It sounded great one the menu, but far far from what is described. It was more béchamel sauce and pasta with little to no discernible cheese flavor of any one cheese flavor let alone three cheeses. Really disappointed, but handed over it to our son, who liked it.My SIL's LB Pastrami sandwich was something I was considering to order, except, I'm not a fan of béchamel sauce, let alone on my pastrami. I'm a purist when it comes to what should a pastrami sandwich would be comprised of, so the béchamel sauce killed it for me. When my SIL gave me a bite, she told me she could not find any trace of béchamel sauce in her sandwich. I joked with her saying it was in my 3 Cheese Mac n Cheese. I tried her sandwich and the pastrami was pretty good. Juicy and tender, with a well defined smokiness to it.My wife's try-tip sandwich was unfortunately very, very dry. Previous Yelpers have also mentioned this as well. She boxed up the sandwich and will devour it at home once she adds some BBQ sauce to the leftovers. For her accompanying side dish, she ordered Street Corn, which she enjoyed very muchMy BIL devoured his half-pound of Craft BBQ Pork Belly. I looked over at his entree of glistening, glazed, pork chunks which he said were really moist and juicy. For dessert I ordered a IHOBS. Just a great cocktail to end my meal!My BIL's second cocktail, the Notorious P.O.G., was not as well received as his first cocktail, the IHOBS. To him, the Notorious P.O.G. reminded him of a Mai Tai. A one and done cocktail choice for him.Our wives both ordered "You're Killing Me Smalls...smore of what?". Yup, it was cold cocktail that was sweet and with a toasted marshmallow. They both really enjoyed it!!Overall, our server, Anna, was excellent, friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. The restaurant from our start to finish was very loud and it was hard to have a table conversation. Food was decent but nothing that would bring me back just for the food, but most certainly the cocktails and service.Our-pre-tip total with tax: $238.89There is also a sister Broken Distillery with a different cocktail menu and meal offerings in Anaheim, CA. Both are under the ownership of Villains Brewing Company, in Anaheim, CA.

Broken spirits distillery will raise your spirits with great energy, stiff drinks and delicious grub!! Stopped in while in town for training and this was the spot that stood out and it absolutely delivered. Majority of the interior was booked for a private event but the exterior patio was perfect, reminiscent of a summer evening. Staff were very friendly and helpful when making decisions and even hooked up a co worker with a buy one get one whiskey sour since the happy hour menu was still open on the machine. I ordered up a half pound brisket and 2 chicken breasts and both were perfect! The brisket was tender and flavorful and the chicken was moist and delicious. Served with some Fresno chili and pickled onion and cucumber it was the perfect high protein meal!

It has a nice ambiance. The sides are better than the mains in my experience. Pork belly was dry and hard. Definitely do not order! I normally love pork belly but this is bad. Tri tip was not bad. Nothing too special. They have a 3% service charge by the way.
