Great food!!!! I got their bacon and egg breakfast burrito which also has beans and hash browns in it. The beans are not too fatty or salty which I appreciate. I also got their carne asada nachos which was like a pound of food!!! HUGE portion! The carne asada nachos had everything on it: cheese, beans, guacamole, sour cream, onions and pico de gallo. It was delicious! Parking is always readily available since the restaurant is located in a plaza. They also open really early in the morning for those who are craving tacos at 8am haha

NEXT LEVEL FOR SURE! The New Ownership is dominating! Not your typical Mexican food. Analilia is such an amazing chef omg I can't even describe. I'm such a foodie and most Mexican spots are pretty basic but Not here! She really takes things to another level and puts artisan touch on everything. She makes everything g from scratch, super authentic! I love it so much :) Then now for the holidays she's even doing catering orders which are insanely beautiful, delicious and convenient. This is not your basic holiday meal, she really puts so much heart and flavor even the neighbors were asking if I cooked, yeah right I could never make dishes so pretty . Highly highly recommend, especially catering orders call ahead for a meal to wow your family and guests!

Food was good and Taco Tuesdays are $1.75 tacos. Service was fast and the ambiance was similar to a family taco shop. The name has changed as its new owners as of last week. But still great food

I have lived by this place for sometime and I normally get California burrito. Today a friend and I order wet Al pastor burrito, asada fries, and a chicken quesadilla. Everything was so good I really don't know how this place isn't rated higher. This is now probably my spot when I'm craving this.

Tried a variety of their items, taquitos, burrito, and tacos. All pretty tasty. Not a bad deal for the price point. Service was friendly. That being said, nothing else stands out but worth another trip and recommendation. No Military discount

This place is now called Los Compadres and is under new ownership. Borregos was my go to place, but I walked in to give this new place a try in hope that it would be just as good as Borregos...nope, it's safe to say I have to find a new go to place.I decided to try the pastor tacos and wet burrito with green salsa and asada. I hate to say this because the employees were all so nice, but the food was awful. It doesn't come close to borregos. The pastor was dry with minimal flavor. The cheese on my wet burrito wasn't fully melted, and the green salsa on the wet burrito tastes like it came out of a can. As soon as I took the first bite, I knew I wouldn't be coming back to this place. The green and red salsa they offered wasn't that great either. With that being said, I am really going to miss Borregos and will never return to this new place again. There is a BIG difference in the quality of the food, even the quantity. My burrito was smaller and the tacos had less meat.

Today I came to what used to be called "Borrego Tacos" and I found out it's named "Los Compadres" it's a new owner and new management. These people are very very very welcoming and the food is made fresh! I saw the cook make everything on the stove and flat top. Not once did he use the dam Microwave. The drinks are fresh and flavorful and I ordered a Queso Birria with a consume and it was so goddam good! Please come and try it! You won't regret it.

Todays pricing is a bit much. But that's everywhere now. The quality, the taste, and the menu here are to notch. Machaca burrito for breakfast is one of my favorites. Tacos soft or hard are great. Dinner plates are very tasty too. You just can't go wrong. This is a small business I do not mind supporting!! Try it if you're in the Whittier area
