With the rise in popularity of Korean BBQ, more traditional styles like 7 Courses of beef have fallen off the way side over the years. Fortunately, places like this one have stuck around while most others have shuttered over the years. This family owned business has been a mainstay for my family and we've enjoyed many celebrations here over the years. Nowadays it's mainly "to-go" for me with my busy lifestyle but I'm glad the recipes and amazing food hasn't changed a bitRecently made a large order of the famous betel leaf wrapped beef and beef meatballs with a side of beef rice porridge to-go. Order was hot to go when I arrived and service was quick and easy. There's nothing quite like the betel leaf wrapped beef here. It's perfectly grilled where all the juices are locked In, so you get flavorful bite every time! So good indulgently good. I like to wrap it in rice paper and add pickled veggies, a sprig of mint, lettuce and a thinly sliced cucumber. So fresh and delicious!Washed it all down with the rice porridge, which is not like the mushy thick type I used to eat when I was sick but it's more like flavorful soup stock with rice and ground beef. So good!I didn't order it this time but they have some other amazing dishes here like there Baked Fish and Bò Tái Chanh ( Thinly Sliced Rare Beef with Lemon and Herbs)Overall, I great place to check out if you love Bò 7 Món or maybe if it's your first foray into this style of Vietnamese cuisine, it's a great choice. Give em a try, hopefully you'll love it as much as I do!Happy Eats!

**READ THIS BEFORE GOING!!!**VIETNAMESE VERSION DOWN BELOW.This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The food was mediocre at best, but what truly ruined it was the service. The servers unfriendly throughout our entire meal. While finishing my beef meatball (bo mo chai), I was shocked to find a large piece of plastic inside the meatball. It was disgusting and made me lose my appetite. When we informed the server, he casually said, "I'll let the kitchen know," with no apology whatsoever. Later, they shifted the blame to their meat supplier, claiming the meatballs come premade and that they had no control over it.After paying, I reviewed the bill and noticed a 15% service charge added to our table of 5. I've never seen this at any other restaurant. I wouldn't have any issue tipping 15%, but with the service and experience we had today, it definitely was not worth the service charge.**ĐỌC CÁI NÀY TRƯỚC KHI ĐI!!!**Đây là một trong những trải nghiệm nhà hàng tồi tệ nhất mà tôi từng có.

Normally I don't go out of my way to eat bo 7 mon, but something it's nice to treat yourself. We started off with the ca nuong which was the best part of the meal. The texture and flavor of the fish was amazing. However when the beef dishes came out, it was a little underwhelming. The best dish was bo nuong la lot, but even that dish was not as flavorful as I would like. The worst dish was chao bo, surprised by the flavor and the alphabet noodles in it, not something I'm familiar with. Food came out quickly and the servers were knowledgeable. Would I come back, only for the fish, but I would not get the bo 7 mon.

Went here with my boyfriends parents because they were craving Bo 7 Mon!Three of us opted for the Medium Ca Nuong instead so I don't have much to say about the beef course. It was more than enough food for the three of us, but the veggies given to us could've been better. The fish was hot and meaty with a crispy skin. They provided everything we needed to make the wraps!

Ordered the grilled catfish ahead of time as recommended, adding shrimp chips and 2 plates of noodles and rice paper to make spring rolls! Catfish was large size and we ate for 6 people, very crispy and flavor was good! 7 courses of beef was also yummy and my favorite was bo la lot! Everything was very great and it was my friends first time having Vietnamese food and they loved it despite usually being picky of food!

11 of us came here for lunch yesterday. Our friends got there first to get a table at 11:30 am and they weren't open yet. They almost left but we called to tell them to wait a bit longer. Good thing they did, because the restaurant opened a bit later.7 courses of beef: everything was good, especially all the grilled items. All the meat was tender and tasty. Very good flavor. We also ordered two large grilled fish and that was okay only. We had so much fish leftover.Food was good. Service was very slow since they didn't have a lot of staff there. And there weren't even a lot of diners at that time of the day. Only a few tables. It always took a while to find a server. But once they came to the table, they were quick to bring whatever we needed. Then disappeared quickly. :)I came later. We were hungry and ate so quickly, I realized at the end I didn't take any pics! Bummer.Last dish, the rice soup with ground beef was too salty. For beverages, we had just hot tea and water, and the total came out to almost $500.So be prepared to pay, even for water. :)

It was Mother's Day when I came here so they were really busy here. The waiters were really friendly and sweet but the wait time for the food was quite long (at least 30 minutes). The poor waiters were running around trying to serve everyone and I felt bad for them because they were trying their best.We got the Bo Nuong Mo Chai and the Bo Nuong La Lop. There were also rice paper wrappers and veggies included for us to wrap the beef items. The food was good but I've had better Bo 7 Mon elsewhere.

My parents love Bo 7 Mon, or Vietnamese style 7 Courses of Beef, and our family favorite growing up was always Pagolac, but they have long closed down. Then we found Hong An, which eventually closed down too. We tried a few fails before cycling back to this location of Thien An. There are other locations by the same name, but this location is the one we liked the best, by compare, so far. We ordered one order of the Bo 7 Mon ($26.99/portion) and 2 side orders of the family favorite Bo Nuong La Lot ($18.99/each). Orders come with rice paper and vegetables. For anyone not familiar with the 7 courses of beef, here is the breakdown: 1. Goi Bo Tom: a special beef and shrimp salad with a vinegar dressing2. Bo Nhung Dam: beef fondue with a special vinegar broth, slices of tenderloin cooked tableside 3. Bo Nuong Vi: thin beef marinated with lemon grass and grilled on a griddle tableside4. Bo Nuong Mo Chai: grilled ground beef sauce with mixtures of spices and charbroiled5. Bo Nuong La Lot: grilled minced beef wrapped in the Hawaiian "Lot Leaf"6. Bo Cha Dum: steamed beef with a mixture of nuts and mushroom7. Chao Bo: beef rice porridge soupService was pretty quick and on top of things. So funny because my mom recognized the waiter here was formerly a waiter for the Hong An restaurant we used to go to. It was surprisingly that the restaurant wasn't busy during peak lunch hour on a weekend. Overall not the best I ever had, but the last okay one that's still around.

If you're craving authentic Vietnamese flavors, this place is a must-visit! We tried the full 7-course bò 7 món for $30.99 per person, and it did not disappoint. Each course comes with 3 pieces of meat, and the fresh ingredients shine through, especially the veggies for the spring rolls. The mam nem and mam fish sauces (with tamarind) are hands down the best I've ever had, and the chili sauce really kicks things up a notch. My absolute favorite was the Chao Bo (beef porridge with alphabet noodles)--it took me straight back to childhood! The beef fondue with the special vinegar broth was another highlight; so tender and juicy, with an exquisite broth that I can still taste. The Bo La Lot was the perfect balance of flavors, just like in Vietnam.Service was excellent too, and I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Their food is good. But I like the most is their beyond-great services. Definitely will come back when we have a chance to visit South Cali. The staff I talked to said he came from CanTho but I forgot to ask his name so I can mention here.
