Black Market Burger

We were in the area and decided to look for a burger spot and came across this hidden gem.Hands down one of the best burgers and fries we have ever had! The burgers are so juicy and the fries are the perfect amount of crunchiness. Absolutely everything was full of flavor! Not only was the food delicious but the service was immaculate. I love how they explained the menu very well even though it's a simple menu they elaborated their ingredients one by one to show us the differences between each burgers. Can't wait to come back & try other items in the menu !

Black Market Burger is a street food vendor specializing in smash burgers and it can currently be found on Thursdays through Sundays from the afternoon through evening at the Sams Club Gas Station by Long Beach Towne Center. According to their website, they also make appearances at Breweries and Food events, so you may see them out and about. It popped up on my radar through yelp and I wanted to check it out as a local.I had their "black market burger", which was a double smash burger on a grill top with grilled onions and on a potato bun. They mentioned that their fries are cooked in duck fat, which typically gives a savory flavor to fries that you don't get in seed oils. They also mentioned their "new school american cheese" is new school because it's real cheese, but it tastes and melts like the American cheese.They were friendly and they brought it to my car as soon as my order was ready. I think that this burger would be nice with a beer at a brewery and, if you check out their website, then you could see when/where that happens. As it stands, I enjoyed their namesake burger and fries; however, I'd probably want to go with one of their more dressed up burgers or chili fries and I'd BYOB if I were to come back to see them at LB Towne Center, which has no less than a half dozen options for burgers. I definitely respect the grind. If you do come to check it out, check their hours before you head over to the gas station or check their website to go to their appearances at local breweries (which is probably how I'd rather have it). I hope they consider going to busier food events where their offerings can be paired with other food experiences. Soft drink options would also be nice. Again - I respect the grind and think that if you want to try a double smash burger on a potato bun, then you should consider giving it a shot.

2nd time here and another solid 10/10 experience from service, quality and price! First time trying the Mushroom Swiss. Not going to lie the original Black Market Smash was way better even though this burger was really good as well. For those asking where are they located, right next to the gas station by Walmart

Great smash burger. My wife had us go back three days in a row. In addition to the huge mushrooms on the shady swiss, I love that the fries stayed crispy long after getting home.

We tried Black Market Burger last night and the smash burgers were great! We had the Black Market Burger, the Shady Swiss, and an order of fries. Everything was fresh, tasty, and the fries were a perfect amount of crispy. Great food, portions, and price. We will definitely be back.

I just came back from Black Market Burger pop up in the Long Beach Towne Center near the Sam's Club gas station. The Black Market Burger was really good. It has a really soft potato bun and you can tell the beef is fresh. And the fries are excellent! Burger was $10 and the fries were $5 (definitely shareable). The owners were also very friendly.

Just stopped by to check them out. Owner was very nice & explained the menu. We ordered 2 Black Market Burgers with the grilled onions & "new" American cheese, as well as a deep dish peanut butter cookie to share. The burgers were perfectly cooked & the buns super fresh and soft. The fries were super crispy and had great flavor. Well done all around. We will be back.

Awesome food and awesome service! The guys give 100 percent customer service and I highly recommend all the food everything is amazing

I'm not even done with my burger and I'm already thinking about my next visit. The smash burgers a legit. Great flavor. They suggested sharing the fries, but they were so tasty I wanted them all to myself. The service is wonderful. These guys are great. Very friendly and service with a smile. Went out of their way to make it a great experience.

I had the mushroom and swiss burger with sidewinder fries at the black market pop up at ambitious ales and it was absolutely delicious! Friendly service and great food with fair prices. Also love the shape of the fries and the crunch!
