Drinks are so good I definitely would come back again and share it with my friends Especially the osmanthus Rice Milk tea is one of my favorite that I love it so much

Always a staple at the Marketplace when you're craving boba! I can't drink caffeine but they have really good fruit teas and other non-caffeine drinks for peps like me. It also comes out super fast and the staff are friendly. Inside is super cute too, they have this cute tree :)

I'm the type to not hold back when it comes to spilling the TEA on hyped up boba spots, and as a Taiwanese person with VERY picky taste in boba, I genuinely think @bengongstea.irvine might be one of the BEST boba shop openings lately! This Chinese chain specializes in authentically brewed Chinese teas, and you can really taste the difference in the strength and fragrance of their milk teas. I also enjoyed their fruit drinks, which are crafted from real fruit and are a refreshing alternative to their more creamy milk tea drinks. There was a bit of a wait for our drinks (probably because of how large the order was), but it was definitely not super busy on a weekend afternoon, and I would highly recommend checking them out before it becomes hyped up. We had high hopes; the place looked cute, the menu looked extensive, and there was some coupon to try things out. We tried the oolong super fruit cup, the golden sesame milk slush, a peach oolong milk tea with cream top, and osmanthus rice milk tea. Let's just say... the names carried a lot more than the drinks were able to deliver. I mean, the drinks weren't inherently bad, but they were nothing special. I couldn't really taste the tea flavor in the oolong or the osmanthus, which are my usual favorite, and they were on the sweet side. But hey, the wait time was reasonable and it wasn't too crowded (for a reason?). We haven't felt the urge to return yet, but hopefully there'll be another opportunity to try in the future?

There's only a couple absolute requirements of every boba tea shop, one is fresh chewy boba (versus old or hard) and the other is flavorful real tea (versus powdered). And unfortunately, upon our visit to BenGong's recently, the boba was not very good. It was so unsatisfactory that I would have returned the drink had we not already drove off. When we bit into the boba, the very center was not fully cooked, so it was semi-hard, too hard to chew. While the tea itself was fine, not above average, but not bad at all. Half-cooked boba was not good. We also pre-ordered the drinks on the Fantuan app and arrived 5 minutes after the app said it would be ready, so when we arrived, we were surprised to find that the drinks had not even been started yet. I had to ask the staff if they saw a mobile order, and they said they saw it, but for some reason did not prepare it yet. When we arrived on a weekday afternoon, it was quite empty in the shop so it was puzzling why our drink was not ready. But it's nice not having a crowded shop. Seating is limited but was available when we arrived. The staff in the shop were courteous enough, but product quality needs some work. If they get their act together, I hope there's an opportunity to try it again.

Love the pretty pink tree in front with all the handwritten notes and cards. Drinks are pretty and service is good! Few tables inside to work/study at but definitely worth swinging by!

My boss got us Tiramisu special Milk tea today, it was good! Nice and creamy, I finished the whole drink really fast . It was my first time trying this place, I'll definitely go back to try some of the other drinks as well!

This place has good tasting bobba and add that with the tea and options of sparkling tea , makes a good bobba drink. One other favorite item is the mango pomelo sago!

My favorite place for boba. Highly recommend the Uji Matcha and Peach Oolong Milk Tea. Really friendly service, and the drink is not too sweet!

The burnt-caramel cheese milk tea boba is the best. The staff also very nice. The vibes was very chill and comfortable.
