During an impromptu trip up to Orange County this weekend, we decided to make a stop in San Clemente on our way back down to San Diego. San Clemente is where my fiancée spent the later half of her childhood and she has a lot of memories here so we try to visit once in a while. We'd been to a few different places in the past, but had never made it to Beachfire Bar & Grill, so we decided to stop here first. We approached the hostess stand and I noticed that they had live music which I thought was pretty cool especially since it was just early afternoon. He was playing a variety of music most of which were covers of some great songs. I also noticed that the walls were adorned with artwork which I'm assuming was from local artists. We were seated at a small table inside and were promptly greeted by our server and provided with menus and water. While we had already snacked our way through the first half of the day, I still didn't want to leave without trying some of their food. While deciding what we wanted for snacks, we started off our visit with a couple of their craft cocktails. I had the rum punch and my fiancée had the bourbon blossom. Ordinarily I'm not a rum drinker, but when a place like Beachfire has been there as long as it has and they have a drinking claiming to be a local favorite, I wasn't going to pass it up. The rum punch was amazing and completely different than any other rum drink I'd ever had and I would order it again without hesitation. The bourbon blossom was also very good and was a little bit different than what I would've expected but both were good. For our round two I had the gin cucumber smash while my fiancée had a spicy cucumber margarita. These drinks were also well executed and presented and were what you'd expect from a beach-themed bar. For food we shared the spicy tuna bites and I got some coconut shrimp. Since my fiancée can't eat shrimp she had the buffalo cauliflower. The sizes were perfect and the quality and presentation were quite satisfying. We ended up not being able to finish all the cauliflower but it was still a great dish. Our visit to Beachfire was perfect and I would like to come back again on our next trip up. The drinks, food, ambiance and live music all brought the whole thing together and I would recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Made reservations and came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was a good call to make reservations- even in February! It turned out to be a sunny day and everyone was out. The parking down here is very limited so get here early and be prepared to circle and find a spot. I sat outside on their street patio and it was nice. People watching was a plus! The service was excellent- so helpful and friendly. Helped with choosing meal and got the heater going once a breeze picked up. Attentive throughout. I ordered a chicken avocado melt and beignets to go. I'll start with the beignets - DO IT. They were delicious. The sandwich was huge and the fries good. Totally could have shared it.

I came to BeachFire for the first time to watch the Super Bowl. I sat at the bar with a friend. All the servers and bartenders were very busy, but they were all also pretty good at checking on us too. We ordered non-alcoholic Moscow mules and were concerned to find out the bartender put bitters in it...I think he asked me about bitters, but as a non-drinker, I did not even realize what that was or the fact that it is in fact alcoholic. After we figured it out and mentioned something, he quickly re-made our drinks and did not charge us for the mistake. I will admit that this concerned me a lot because I was clear we didn't want any alcohol. I think there was a misunderstanding, but it would be good for bartenders everywhere to know when someone asks for no alcohol, it means none, not even a little drop. The food was pretty good. The salmon salad was very fresh! I also had the peach and Brie flatbread...I would recommend adding arugula or some kind of greens and extra balsamic for more flavor.

Our servers name was Rylie, he was friendly, but far more interested in what was on his phone than checking on the tables. He took our order right away and then we saw him one time walking by, and was able to stop him to fill our water. He didn't really check in with us, when we needed something I had to stop him. Someone else delivered the food. Live music was awesome. She had a beautiful voice, but they had the volume way too loud. We were in the very very back of the restaurant, and it was still overwhelmingly loud so that we could not have a decent conversation. The food was excellent . we ordered the buffalo cauliflower bites, and they were the best ones I've ever had. We loved them.We also ordered the steak medallions , they were delicious, perfectly cooked. The decor was cute and beachy eclectic .

Saturday brunch omelette was 2-3 star. I had the shrimp & lobster omelette, the underside was a browned & overcooked. Omelette's shouldn't have a crunch. They subbed a house salad instead of potatoes but neglected to tell me there was a $3 up charge. Server was attentive & friendly however as well as hostess. Nice side patio. My friend liked her breakfast burger & served with enough fries to feed 4.

I found this restaurant on Yelp, I am a little familiar with San Clemente. It is a nice city to visit, shop and dine. The shops and restaurants are not "big" chain stores, but rather, nice boutiques and owner-occupied businesses. Beachfire is open 7 days a week and have it all! Happy Hour specials Monday thru Friday; entertainment like karaoke (Monday) Taco Tuesday, and live bands on the weekends. The service was impeccable, Nick has been the bartender for over 20 years. He came out to greet us on the patio and take our order. Most bartenders stay back, but he was out in the patio "multi-tasking" and greeting customers. Edgar came by to check on us, I thought he was the server or maybe the manager. He is actually one of the owners. He asked where we were from and welcomed us. We ordered an Ahi Tuna sandwich and a chicken habenero flatbread. The sandwich had a generous portion of tuna and seasoned perfectly, topped with avocado. It was plated perfectly $19. The flatbread was delicious, the chicken was grilled, the spice level was medium. It had red onions and pineapple bits and a drizzle of Ranch dressing that added a nice and tasty sweetness $15.The restaurant has an upstairs level, a patio in front, and another outdoor patio at the rear entrance. This is a casual place, but not fast food, they actually service quality food with fresh veggies. Every time I come to San Clemente, it has been a wonderful experience. So many unique stores to explore. I think you'd be pleased too. Relax, enjoy, shop and dine here and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!

My husband and I went Thursday for dinner. Although they were busy, the staff was very attentive throughout the night. We started with the bleu cheese wedge and chicken habanero flatbread. Both came out in a very timely matter and were very delicious. We also shared the braised pork sliders and the pineapple upside down cake to finish. The pineapple upside down cake was the star of the show for me as the cake was super soft with a crunchy caramelized top. We really enjoyed our night together and were happy to enjoy the live music of the night. Beach fire is a very lively place but still relaxed enough for us to have a conversation. I'd highly recommend Beachfire to anyone visiting San Clemente!

Went with some friends on a random Monday and we were seated rightaway. The menu had something for each of us - i got the poki bowl (an appetizer, somehow.. its big!!), my boyfriend got fish n chips (which looked fire), and the other two got ahi tacos and the peach brie flatbread. The drinks were good too, got the lemon lavender drop and sipped my friends cucumber smash. LOVED the cucumber one. Overall super filling, loved our waiter, got to sit and watch the sunset outside - very nice overall!
