I don't usually write reviews for chain restaurants. You basically know what you are going to get. But I needed to for this Applebees. I've been going to Applebees since the late 90s when one opened in my home town and my manager introduced me to it. And from that moment, my go to has also been the Bourbon Street Steak. My kids love their apps and wings, so when I was in town recently this was a no brainer. We couldn't have been more surprised. First of all, the restaurant is huge. Plenty of seating. We went on the weekend and were seated within 5 minutes. Service was fast. Both the ordering and the delivery of our food. But the taste is what really stood out. Both of our dishes were amazing. Crispy wings. Hot and fresh. The sauces were delicious. And my steak was perfectly cooked. My son ended up eating it all (he doesn't usually like it). So for a customer that usually goes to Applebees once a month, I just wanted to say how much we wish this was closer to home.If you're in the area, definitely check it out!

S/o and I sat ourselves at the bar and ordered half off appetizers (after 9pm)- Onion rings & a spinach artichoke dip! We also came for the dollaritas (dollar margaritas) which were SO worth the dollar. As a non-drinker- I made it 1/3 through the tiny drink and the asianglow was showing... Honestly the whole experience was really fun thanks to our bartender Pierce! His personality was what really made our night memorable! Pierce was just on top of it that night- the definition of amazing customer service!! He took the time to explain menu items and drink choices without us feeling rushed- even went out of his way to make my night memorable w extra little brain candies. Applebees is my new pregame spot. Affordable drinks and appetizers are a win for me!

Shoutout to Judy that works here. She was a sweetheart and took real good care of us. Seems like she's been there awhile and knows what she's doing. To start we got Caesar salads and boneless wings for apps. Main entrees we got the all American burgers and riblets with fries and mashed potatoes. Everything tasted really good. For dessert we got the brownie bite with ice cream which is perfect to share if you want one or two bites of something sweet.

I went during veteran's day! They were busy! My first time here! And they seated us after 2mins which was great because we were hungry! Pink lemonade was amazing! Tried their pretzel bread it was so good! It may look unappealing, but it taste fluffy and warm! Among other food items we ate I really liked the pretzel. This lunch was a 5 star for me. We had 2 salads and a holiday blended drink. We sat down right away in the bar area. We were greeted and helped almost immediately. The server was very nice and kept checking up on us. It wasn't busy, few tables full. It had a good vibe and I think he was the manager walking around and making sure everyone was doing good or need anything. That was nice. If in the area, I would come back.

Boyfriend and I decided to come to Applebee's while visiting the MainPlace Mall a couple weeks back. The hostess served us very quickly, but that was about the best service we got during the entire visit. It was a Saturday, and around 3:30PM - we usually eat dinner pretty early as to avoid the dinner rush so needless to say, it was not busy at all during our visit. Our server took forever to ask if we wanted anything to drink, and took even longer to come take our order. Didn't come around to check on us once to see how we were doing or to ask if we wanted drink refills. Towards the end of our meal, I had to use the women's room and I found our server in the women's room just shamelessly texting on her phone. So I told my boyfriend about it and we didn't leave a tip. The experience was overall pretty bad - and although there is a lot of room for improvement, it is sad to see it boil down to this. I really hate to leave bad reviews in general. So, I am hoping that in the future if I do visit this location again, I can update my review and give this a better rating. Unfortunately, I do not remember our server's name - but I just hope our overall experience will be better next time around. The food was good - it was just a shame that the service couldn't match the level of the food. Also, it was kind of weird that we were seated at a booth that seemed to be falling apart and would break like any minute. As I mentioned, it was not busy at all and there was plenty of seating available all around the restaurant. Did seem a little sketchy honestly. Hopefully we will be back, but probably not for a while.

Came here for the happy hour so we sat at the bar on a Friday evening around 4:30pm. Not too crowded at the time. Some of the appetizers are half off until 6pm so we definitely wanted to take advantage of that. Our server was great. Took a little long to get back to us in the end but made up for it when we ordered a drink to go. It was good. We ordered wings and loaded fries. It was a pretty big size of wings and fries. We didn't even finish it all. Drinks were great. And the ambiance was average. Came back the following Friday for the same deal just slightly later. Got there around 5 this time and since the dodgers were playing the ambiance was a lot louder. Overall I like this Applebees

I have read the reviews... but our experience here and our first time here to this location, we had no complaints, and the food was delicious. My daughters and I recently visited the Applebee's in Santa Ana while my husband was in the ER at UCI. Our server, Pierce, was absolutely amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and made our experience exceptional during a stressful time.We started with the amazing cheese bites, which were a delicious appetizer. My girls ordered the Bacon Ranch Chicken Sandwich and the Chicken Penne Pasta, both of which they loved. I had the chicken breast dinner, and it was cooked to perfection. Every dish was delicious!Loved that we were able to pay our bill at the table, which helped save time. Things seemed clean, and there were quite a few people here later in the evening, which made it nice. Not too crowded and not empty. Thank you, Applebee's, and especially Pierce, for providing such great service and food. It truly made a difference for us last night at a stressful time. Again, thank you, Pierce!!!

My wife and I visited Applebees (Main Street Mall - Santa Ana) to try their New Bourbon Street menu. I ordered their Chicken/Shrimp combo, which came with Mashed Garlic potatoes. The price of this selection is $18,00.I was served a small scoop of Potatoes, a palm size Chicken breast covered with five small, under cooked Shrimps.I would consider this a "Kids Meal", not worthy of the $18.00 price tag.I informed the Manager, explaining this was not close to the photo depicted in their menu. The Manager replied "The menu photo is to entice sales."I sent the "Bourbon Street" special back and my Wife and ordered the Hamburger special.A complete let down, as we expected to enjoy a delicious dinner.
