Ape Coffee

I loved the seasonal strawberry matcha, and the baristas there were all so friendly both times I went! The secluded, cool vibe is definitely something you don't see in other cafes, and it was a great environment to chat or get some work done. Great music, too! Beware of the parking situation though- my second time here, I had to park on the side streets because there's not much parking inside considering the multiple stores on the block. I came back to a $65 parking ticket :,) I know it was my fault, but it's really hard to see the small sign that says you need a permit to park there. A little scared to go back, but nonetheless I recommend!

Ape Coffee knows their banana. I am a banana matcha connoisseur, and I highly approve this place. The matcha is smooth and perfectly whisked. The cream using real bananas compliments the matcha. It's not chunky or thick or overly sweet. I would definitely come here to hangout with a friend for matcha and small bites. They have dim lighting, so studying here could be a bit difficult. With the minimal lighting and natural lighting coming from the door, it feels calming and comforting to relax and unwind with friends. The workers here are super friendly, too!!

decent banana matcha! the banana cream doesn't taste like an "artificial banana" at all, which i appreciate. the overall drink isn't too sweet.i came on a saturday, early afternoon, and the place was packed - minimal parking, no available seating, and a line out the door. i'd say it's more of a "grab & go spot," as the music is a bit loud and isn't ideal for a study space (if that's what you're looking for!).

I was heading up to Anaheim Hills for a class and Ape coffee was too conveniently on my way to not make a stop in for some coffee. Glad I did as they had a special bogo50% which helped me out tremendously as I wanted to try their Ape Matcha - matcha and banana cream foam, and the tiramisu latte - espresso and mascarpone cream foam. I asked for no sweetener in both so I can also enjoy the monkey bread. Let me say, the drinks were delicious. Very lightly flavored which makes them a treat and not overbearing. The matcha had a deep color and balanced matcha and creaminess and the banana cream foam was a layer that I didn't think would work, but it does. The tiramisu latte is one I can drink every day. It is creamy without being overly disruptive to the espresso. The monkey bread was just ok for me as it didn't taste fresh. Service was great. I found parking easily. Indoor seating. Store had an industrial feel. small merch section in the back. The Bitcoin decal in the back instantly made me understand the name and the tie in to this shop. Whenever I'm nearby, or even when I'm not, I always make a point to stop by this place. Their patisseries are incredibly fresh, their sandwiches are delicious, and their beverages are top-quality.What I love most is the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The indoor seating gives me the feeling of being in a local pub in London, even though they don't serve alcohol. Maybe it's the black and grey tones or just the overall vibe, but it feels like a place where everyone knows each other.The customer service is always top-notch, and even the guests inside are super friendly, which adds to the charm. It's more than just a coffee shop, it's a great place to relax, catch up with a friend, and enjoy a warm, inviting space. It may be small, but trust me, you won't regret stopping by!

save time and order online for pickup!!!i didn't know the line was gonna be so long, and by the time we were 3 parties from the register, we overheard the cashier say you could order online. so i did and got my order in before a couple parties ahead of me, but wish i knew before waiting in line 25 min! i got the banana brûlée matcha latte. the banana cream top was spot on, loved the flavor and bits of banana. but the aftertaste of the matcha was pretty bitter. i thought the sweetness from the banana and caramel would blend a little better with the matcha, but the flavors were somehow really distinct. i would def try it with espresso if im ever in the area again. it was super chaotic inside. there are some tables inside and out, but most everyone seated was there for the long haul doing work, so everyone else was crowded around the pickup area. total time for us to line up and get drinks was 45 min on a sunday at 3:30pm.

Ape coffee was INCREDIBLE. I'm a huge fan of bananas and it was perfect. The espresso tasted delicious and wasn't watered down and the banana tasted fresh and not artificial. It wasn't too sweet, it was perfectly balanced. Mine was the brûlée coffee so they had flambed the top like crème brûlée and topped it off with a banana. Soooo good. Parking: I got 1 of the last 3 spots. Reference: I went on a Monday at 12pm. This coffee shop was like a co-working space, and the lot was a bit smaller. I'm sure there's street parking, but I didn't get to check. I ordered a pecan monkey bread + matcha cream banana bread (they were mid). I'm giving 4/5 only because it wasn't super busy, but maybe it was? It took a little over 10 minutes to get the coffees and breads weren't toasted (by my request) so for some reason i thought it'd be quicker. The barista was super kind, but otherwise the service was ok.

Walking into this coffee shop feel my like i was getting into a club i wasn't supposed to be in and I loved it! Like stumbling into a speakeasy when you were just looking for a dive bar. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about their coffees. Prices, for their unique twist on coffee, I would say are fair. from the time I placed my order to the time I took my first sip couldn't have been longer than 3 minutes. I ordered their signature drink of a Bad Monkey coffee which comes with a sprinkle of cinnamon on a layer of banana foam with 2 pieces of dried banana...and love. I would go back again because the variation of drinks that they have to offer each have something interesting about them that makes you curious to comeback and try then all.

Very well themed coffee shop, lots of branding everywhere including merchandise coffee and baked goods. I ordered the snow monkey and a brown butter banana nut bread. For anyone ordering a snow monkey be aware that all the sweetener is on top of the drink with the cream it needs to be mixed in otherwise you will think that the drink is unsweetened. This drink is nicely balanced very smooth and I really like it a lot. The banana nut bread was very interesting I wasn't expecting for it to have chocolate chips inside along with slices of real banana. Very friendly service all in all a good experience I will be back.

Cute little coffee shop! Service was over the top! the young lady who took my order was very patient and recommended a few drinks to my husband and I , on top of that they had a new food item they had us try to give feedback. I had the Snow Monkey, 8/10 I asked for it half sweetened and was still a little sweet , next time i'll be sure to ask for half the sweet cream. My husband had the Monkey business, I would give it a 7/10 because the banana flavor is strong. I couldn't taste the coffee at all.
