It's not so appetizing. Nothing is clearly fresh. The guacamole has a weird after taste. I don't blame the cooks I blame the owners.

Gave Alvaro's a fair shot but won't be returning for a while. Each time we visited it was a different bad experience. From unfriendly staff, consistently forgotten items, to orders made wrong there are many areas of improvement needed.

Really wanted to like this place because I felt sorry for them and all the negative comments. Lucio, I applaud you for listening to your customers and apologizing when necessary. Well, I wasn't thrilled with the food but my only complaint was that the taquitos were too salty, so much so that I couldn't finish my meal and ended up throwing it all away. It did look tasty though.

Fooled me! lolSo I was driving by on Beach Blvd just trying to get back to work. When I saw this sign, and if I am being honest here- I totally thought this place was Albertos. Same colors, and the sign looks similar too. Even the menu looked pretty dang close! It took me a minute to realize that this was not Albertos lolol Oops. Oh well, I was already at the place to order. So I decided to just go for it. I ordered a cheese quesadilla, French fries and a rice pudding. Could I get any Whiter with my order? lol The food took a couple minutes to come out. The french fries were super hot. Which is fine, because they were freshly made. And the quesadilla was pretty similar to Albertos! It was the bigs ones with two tortillas. Lots of cheese. And the rice pudding was chilled and had a splotch of cinnamon in there. I do wish it had more cinnamon, but it was still yummy. Overall, this was a good stop considering that I got fooled lol

Its been quite sometimes that me and my GF got our food for under $25 bucks. I guess this is what they called "inflation"? Kidding.It was Sunday night and we wanted Mexican food. On our typical sunday night dinner timing, alot of places are closing or closed already. and then we spotted Alvaro.We got to the restaurant around 930, got thru drive-thru and left with our food in a few minutes. I admit that i am no expert with Mexican food. but as far as my food goes. They are good for the price. My burritos were loaded and my GFs tacos were doing its job.No complaints from me. Full Score.

Favorite Mexican place near me! I've tried the shrimp fajita place and chicken plate with corn tortillas. Definitely recommend their green sauce, although lately it seems like it got way more spicy! Looking forward to trying more things here.

Yay or nay? 0/2Had an asada burrito here and thought it was edible, but kinda bad. Asada tasted old/previously frozen and the same with the onions. Some of the onions weren't chopped enough which resulted in some big chunks. The burrito ingredients were not dispersed well, so some bites was all meat and others all onions. Only positive thing was that the asada didn't have pieces of fat/gristle. Expensive? Worth it? 0/1I was treated to this meal, but no matter the cost, it is not worth it due to the low quality and attention to detail. Location 1/1Location is okay. They have drive thru and indoor seating as well. Staff has always been polite on our visits.Plan to return? 0/1No.

Plastic and a long strip of fat in my carnitas burrito.Where's the zero stars option? This was the most disgusting food I've had in memory. I ordered three carnitas burritos and a bean burrito. I opened a carnitas burrito and it was nothing but grease. I drained what I could, then I started eating. The taste is forgettable, which is sad because they used to be great, but the quality has suffered as the prices have increased.But what was absolutely disgusting, unforgettably disgusting, purely loathsome, was the big strip of what looks and feels like boiled fat, and yellow strips of what feels like plastic. PLASTIC!!! (I'll up load a photo.) I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will go out of my way to dissuade people from coming here.This happened on 08/27/24, ordered about 3:20 p.m.EDIT: 08/28/24, 5:50 a.m. - I ordered 4 total burritos for 2 people/family. 1 each for dinner, 1 each for lunch the next day.I decided not to eat my second carnitas burrito. I did heat it up, which left it greasy/oily and I did open it up. I found another long piece of stringy, chewy, spongy meat on the inside. I don't know what it was. I do know that if that had touched my tongue and entered my mouth, I would have puked.Also, after cutting up the burrito and looking through it, I noticed two black hairs close together mixed with the guacamole on my plate. First, my hair isn't black, second, my hair is shaved to about 1/4 an inch right now. I'm not going to guess at what kind of hair it was, but that is disgusting.I suggested to my family member not to eat the third carnitas burrito, but we did open it up. There was no long and spongy piece of meat/fat, whatever it was, but there was that yellow plastic/plastic-like thing on the inside.Their cook needs to be fired and possibly arrested for messing with people's food and the Health Department needs to be notified. Maybe I'll notify them. Honestly, I haven't felt this mentally sick in a long time.DO NOT EAT HERE!
