Small hidden hole in the wall place. The place is pretty cramped so not ideal for big groups. The interior has lots of interesting Japanese trinkets scatter though the inside.I usually come by after watching a movie at the Edwards nearby. If it's a bit late, the waitress lady may be a curt. There's a 15% tip already added to the dine-in bill, so careful not to double tip unless you intend. I usually have the Tonkotsu Black with the added chili oil which combines well with the broth.

My dad took me and my boyfriend to dinner on a Saturday evening (around 7:00 pm) after we saw a movie at the Edwards. We said let's eat at this little ramen shop or the sushi restaurant across the street; we opted for the ramen shop. Upon entering, we had to wait a bit before even being acknowledged, but we weren't greeted warmly or politely. The big girl just stared blankly at us as we said there were three of us to dine in. I asked where's the restroom, and she said there was no restroom. You're a dining establishment, serving food and beverages, but your paying customers can't use your restroom? Weird. We almost left for that reason. We each ordered a bowl of ramen, which came out pretty quickly but we were served spaced apart by several minutes. The prices ($14.95 and $15.95 for what we chose) were fair for the portion sizes, but a bit high for the taste and what was included. The bowls included standard ramen noodles and broth with three or four thin slices of pork, bean sprouts, and scallions. They then nickel-and-dime you for toppings such as egg, corn, seaweed, mushrooms, etc. -- things that are included at other ramen restaurants. The miso ramen broth was extremely bland with no flavor. My dad asked for some chili or some kind of sauce we could add, and this is when the big girl gave attitude, saying she already asked us if we wanted any before (she did, but geez, we changed our minds, no need to make your customers feel like sh1t for asking). We just ended up getting salt and pepper. There were two other small tables of diners, but the place was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. No doubt it was the menacing presence of that grumpy girl that caused the intimidating tension in that place. A sign on the table said one item minimum per person. I also noticed handwritten signs all over the counter indicating extra charges, such as 25 cents for a to-go container and a 4% surcharge just for using a card instead of cash (so we paid cash). They also automatically add a tip to your total bill, so make sure you don't double-tip! This is especially important in light of the cold service that makes you feel so uncomfortable you want to hurry up and eat in silence and then crawl out of there as swiftly as possible. Needless to say, I will not be back here and instead will definitely go to the sushi restaurant across the street instead -- we've been there before, and the food, service, and existence of restrooms were great.

All and all is not good, the place smell dirty, the ramen is cold, and the soup not enough flavor , the meat so thin and barely have bean sprouts and corn, the service not so good, and the extra 4% charge when using card to pay, and the automatic 15% tip adding to your bill, too much charging for everything, the service, the place, and the food is not worth it.

Big LI know ramen. And this ain't it. Very basic. Nothing special. I'm giving two stars for a few reasons. But let me start off by saying something good. they open late. Now, the portions are ok. Service was ok. Seating is pretty cramped up. Small area and only one server on a Saturday night. Biggest turn off here is the 15% gratuity charge to dine in. That's low key theft. You should be ashamed for Tipping yourself lolI saw the disclaimer but chose to stay because I didn't feel like driving anywhere. The fam and I got 4 bowls, some gyoza and pan fried chasu pork. Definitely not worth the extras. I dont mind tipping, but this is weird. Like, why are you helping yourself to my money? lol anyway, food was basic. Not worth the $100 +

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! - DELIVERY ORDER -i had a bad craving for ramen late thanksgiving day. luckily this wonderful restaurant was open and ready to take orders! i had been wanting to try their food for quite a while as i love ramen! we opted for their gyoza and chashu shio ramen. we ordered extra noodles and were able to make two bowls from it. there wasn't an exorbitant amount of broth but it was enough for us to share. i thought the food was quite filling which is great since i felt it wasn't the portion i am accustomed to at other ramen spots. so while portion feels small the food is quite tasty and filling. the gyoza were delicious, i couldn't stop going back for more lolit's a bit of a lighter ramen. i really liked not feeling super bloated after and thought the toppings worked well together. it's not as strong or salty as other spots so be prepared if you love a full fatty salty tonkotsu. the food was prepared quickly and with great quality. i really liked the food i received and would recommend stopping in;)

Cece in the front kindly greeting customers, bringing out food and taking orders. There isn't a lot of room for big groups inside but we managed to get a table. I ordered the Chicken Veggie Ramen with a boiled egg added. They charge .50 for chili oil. Also the last call for dine is 10:30pm since they close at 11:30. Also, a 15% tip is automatically added to your bill. They sell macaroon ice cream sandwiches! Definitely recommend this ramen spot for a chilly day.

When I walked into the restaurant I said, "for one please" they offered me a seat at the bar. I accepted. I told my server, "I have no allergies and I'm hungry, please feed me your pick. Also I like spicy." She recommended the spicy miso with egg. I accepted. She then went into the kitchen and not long after the gyoza came out with her. Bomb dot com. Nom nom nom nom the sauce I used for dipping was more sour and tangy to me. The soup was definitely less salty than other ramen spots and definitely not as heavy. Fn' bomb IMO. Spicy level as good. Very good Food. Great company. Excellent service. I will come back. Happy yo have a solid ramen spot in West-Covina' #ifykykCom back to this place

My wife and I walked in early on a Friday evening and were greeted with one of my top 5 worst waiter experiences of all time. The lady stared at us until we asked if we could sit down. She looked annoyed we were there. After contemplating leaving, we decided to tough it out. We asked about the temperature of the room (it was pretty hot) and the lady said "we just opened. I can't do anything for you."Awesome.The food was okay, though the meat in the ramen was a little cold. but the whole customer service experience made me wish we went to Kopan across the street. (And that's saying something because Kopan is mid too). I hope anyone reading this is saved from patronizing this place, but I do hope they improve their customer service. We did not feel welcome, and we felt like we were inconveniencing the owner/waitress. We even like we had to whisper our conversation so as not to annoy her. Horrible feeling on a Friday night!
