405 Com Tam & Noodle

My uncle watched Vietnamese YouTubers dine at 405 Com Tam & Noodle in Westminster and raved about it, so I decided to take my family and uncle there for lunch today. When we arrived, I realized it was just next door to the Vietnamese all-you-can-eat buffet where we frequently go. The space is fairly large, and the servers are all from the buffet restaurant. We were seated right near the front door. I tried to wave at the server to take our order, but it appears like all of the staff here are only focused on the back tables... I've waved several times. I even went over to the female server to let her know we were ready to order, but she gave me a dirty look and ignored me... I spotted another person who appeared to be in charge, and I told him I was really upset because I had waved so many times, even told the female server, and had no response. Finally, the female server who had ignored me arrived and took our orders. I asked for ice tea, and she delivered me hot tea. I asked for 7 plates and 7 bowls several times, and she only brought two bowls. I told the server to change another ice water cup because one of them was so dirty. She never brought us new ice water. The food we had was flavorful, especially the broken rice dish, which was large plate and satisfying. Would I return to dine here again? NO! Even though the food is not horrible, I will not return due to the poor attitude and lack of communication.

Never have to wait since the restaurant is not busy. They had a buy two get one chicken wing free. Small fried chicken wings. - Mi Nam Vang 2.7/5A variety of toppings but nothing really stood out. The broth that comes on the side is quite flavorful. The taste of the dry noodles was ok, not too strong in flavor. I enjoyed that fried wonton that comes with the dish. Free parking in lot.

The portions was huge and prices are fair. The promotion is buy 2 hu tieu get 1 free chicken rice and get 1 free drink if check in on yelp. I like their special dry noodle consisted of pork including heart, shrimp and quail egg which was delicious. Clean fast and attentive service.

This place offers a rice dish free if ordered two broken rice dishes or two of their nam bang noodles. We came in on a Sunday around 10 am and the restaurant was not busy at this time. We ordered and the food came out in decent time. We both ordered the Nam Vang noodles and it was just okay. We got the free roasted chicken dish however the chicken were very dry. Good service and plenty of parking.

Two YouTubers mentioned that this place is the bomb! Food is very good - highly recommend! So here I am to try for myself...Drove all the way from Northern California. 6-7 hours drive through some light rain, some cloudy day, climbing some hills in the Grapevine area, then stuck in heavy traffic in the LA area along the way, wear-n-tear on my beloved car.....can't wait! Me so hungry! Great day for some soup - looking forward to try this place! When arrived around 7:30pm Thursday evening, I was shocked to see no other customers there at all (as if a ghost town) = red flag! But hey, those YouTubers highly recommend, so let's go dine! So hungry - ordered 3 dishes (1 dry noodle Nam Vang style, 1 banh canh soup, and 1 bone stew). Oh wait, If order at least 2 dishes, you get 1 dish for to-go FREE! That's cool! I got Com Tam Ga (chicken rice dish) free YAY!! Wish I can say YAY for the food taste and service though. While the staffs are nice, sadly the food & service did not meet my standard. I asked for water, but never came! No one came to check if I need anything while eating. Everything tasted bland - no flavor. Lastly, cash only! Disappointed! Never again will I return! Perhaps I now understand why it's all empty (no one eating here) when I arrived.

Everything are superbly good and affordable. Services are always with smiles and respectful. Mt family loved all of their restaurants. I highly recommended to everyone. Clean,, spacious and great foods .

I would've given this place 4 stars had they not messed up my order on GrubHub. I wanted Egg (yellow) Noodle Nam Vang but they gave me Rice Noodle (white) Nam Vang instead. :( But otherwise, food is good in general.

Great food. Tasty. I will definitely coming back.We got 2 dry Nam Vang Hu Tieu and a fried wonton. One of the best noodles I had.

Save your money and time and do not come here. We were craving for hot pot and Vietnamese food and saw that this place was 4.5 stars and decided to come here without reading the comments. Boy, what a mistake.Service was okay. The guy that was helping us knows nothing about the menu, but he tried to be polite and helpful as possible. My husband is vegan so he wanted to know what ingredients are in certain items etc and we didn't get much answers. We decided to wing it and get vegan hot pot and beef with noodles (for me). When the veggies came for the hot pot, I spotted a long strand of hair in it. We told the guy that was helping is, and he took care of it and got us another veggie plate. When I got my order for the beef noodles, I inspected the food to make sure that there was no hair, but instead I found an aluminum foil like item in the food!! We told the waiter and waitress and they took the food back only to bring it back a min later only removing the aluminum item, but provided the same plate back to us. My husband let them know that we no longer want the plate for my safety. After all of that, I had no appetite. My husband was kind and finished the hot pot and after that, he paid and we got out of there really fast.

Com tam (broken rice) is buy 2, get 1 free. The rice was a little dry but the meat is great.
