"Our first time visiting, with a toddler nonetheless, and B-Line (the owner) showed us great hospitality! We ordered the Cali burrito and a chicken quesadilla for our 3 year old daughter. The Cali burrito has that chewy, translucent tortilla that is crispy on the outside, yet stretchy/ chewy/ soft on the inside. I freakin' love tortillas like that! Burrito was well constructed that each bite had carne asada, fries, and the fixings. Loved the melted, gooey cheese, too!Kids chicken quesadilla could have been an adult entree. Loaded with perfectly grilled and tender chicken chunks. Came with a side of beans and rice. My daughter is a picky eater and she was devouring her quesadilla like there was no tomorrow.Thai tea horchata was so unique and yum! Highly recommend. We opted to dine in. B-Line brought us a high-chair and told us that he'd bus the table when we were done. He had a huge catering order that he was working on and he ended up sharing some leftover mac and cheese with my daughter. Again, the picky toddler devoured that mac and cheese immediately.Service was awesome. Food was great - the yelp stars don't lie. Parking is free, in a strip mall lot. Apple pay FTW. There's a constant flow of people coming in to order/ dine in and pickup for take-out. Only a few tables inside so I think most people opt for take-out. I can't wait to come back and try some new items off the menu."
"This is the third time i come back and that is due to the food. The food all of is great, very delicious, all of it, including the drinks also. The service itself is great too, very attentive waitresses. I really love the place and the ambiance is so relaxing."
"Very tasty taco place. We tried all kinds of tacos. We had the carne asada, the Al pastor, the carnitas and the fish. We also had the crispy shredded beef tacos and the surf and turf burrito that she said was the specialty. They were all pretty good. The only one I would pass on in the future was the fish taco. The surf and turf burrito had shrimp and carne asada and the salsa they had was really good. Probably my favorites were the crispy tacos and the burrito but I enjoyed the rest of the tacos too. We ordered a ton of food but it came out fast and the cashier that took the order was really friendly."
"I really wanted to like this place, but just didn't. We came on a random weekday and the parking was super easy. We walked in and we're seated immediately. It was crazy hot and humid that day, so to start I ordered a glass of ice water. The waiter tried to get me to order a margarita, and then tried up sell me on three different types of water that weren't actually just water. When I said I just wanted basic ice water, he said was going to bring me tap water from Mexico, his joke was not appreciated. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas and ended up with the chicken mole plate, which coincidentally costs $4-$5 more. I didn't say anything about the error, but after the water thing, I really wondered if this was accidental or intentional. I also ordered a hard shell beef taco. Overall the food was good, but I felt like the prices were high for what they offered. The service was also extremely slow on a day that wasn't busy, and there was an issue with flies. I shouldn't have had to keep shooing flies away in an indoor setting. In the future, if someone else reallllly wanted to eat here I'd be fine with it, but this isn't anywhere I'd rush back to."
"I wish this place was 5 stars but honestly its really an overly hyped cafe. I had high expectations due to the reviews and I left disappointed.I ordered the green pazole and Mexican fluffy pancakes.First red flag- they charge you for chips n salsaThe food is NOT bad, its just not amazing either. Pay $15-$17 for 3 regular pancakes ( nothing fluffy amount them) a sliced half of a strawberry lol cmon guys. Now the pazole verde- I REALLY wanted to love this because I was craving it, but unfortunately super disappointing. Its not terrible but its just blah. For $17-$21 for pazole, I would hope its bomb but it wasnt.$7-$10 drinks ( Arnold Palmer and Horchata) Overall I was disappointed because I couldve made 3 "actually" fluffy pancakes at home , and made my homemade green pasole rather than paying $60 for 2 meals that were just blah. Can I cook myself... yes! But I didnt want to. I wanted to treat myself and my son and instead I left feeling robbed of money for a mediocre placeThis is a 6/10 place"
"Let's start with the show stopper- the shrimp quesadilla! The shrimp quesadilla was sooo good! It was loaded with cheese and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. And you get a lot of shrimp. My fiancé said it was the best shrimp quesadilla he has ever had. And I agree, it was great! 10/10The cheese enchiladas with avocado added were great! Super cheesy and had good flavor. I also added eggs for more protein, and that really made this dish delicious!! 10/10 I will definitely be back. This place was amazing."
"This was our first time at Flecha Cantina and let me start off by saying, our server Annabel was amazing! Food was delicious and it came out pretty fast! The atmosphere was great! It felt like you were in a club lol but it's not, great music and drinks! Staff were amazing!Ask for Annabel next time you're there, she'll take care of you!"
"Come here!! (not the touristy places on PCH). The food is excellent, quick service, even when there's a line out the door, and great prices. We used to come here in 2014 when we lived here. We were very happy to see it's still outstanding and Carlos and staff are working hard and excellently after 10 years!"
"My first time trying out this place. I have heard good things about this place and finally got the chance to try it out since I was near by. Good that they have a parking lot and when you enter their restaurant you are greeted. First of all, the smell that hits you upon entering; you're already drooling or maybe I was that hungry. I smelled amazing. So I got myself two fish tacos and a shrimp. In all honesty, by my life experiences at other places I would receive diet sized fish strip or baby shrimp in a taco. This place they really mean business, you are not going to receive no diet sized strips, they gonna give you the real thing. The flavors, they are actually there. Cutting my story short this place is really worth it. Loved the food so much and they even give you chips and salsa. The salsa made me tear up because it tasted so close to what my grandma's."
"Food overall was okay. Filet Mignon tasted better than Asada. The Shredded Beef taquitos appetizer is very good. Guacamole not impressed. Ceviche way over priced $25 for 3 very small portions. Tacos were okay, tortillas were way too greasy. Transferred to flour tortillas. The green salsa is very good and tasty!Ambiance for Sat night after 5pm was great. Super busy for small place and great music and choice of music. The bar was full and no empty space.Service was decent. Did not clear plates enough especially for very small tables. Reservation for sisters bday of 8 people and they awkwardly place one square and one round table together. Not convenient, or logical."
"Small hole in the wall place with lots of flavor. We were at the ice rink down the street and walked over here for lunch. It is a small location on the edge of a strip mall. They have a few tables inside and out. Order at the counter. They have a good variety of foods. The wrap is grilled and delicious. We also got noodles, which had some kick. Everything we had good and we will definitely be back."
"Who would have thought a small, rinky, hole in the wall Mexican diner would offer one of the best chicken fried steaks!! Being from the south, I grew up on hearty breakfasts. Everything loaded with gravy. Carlito's CFS did not disappoint!! Crispy chicken steak smothered, no, drowning in sausage gravy! For the price you really get a large portion too. It included 3 eggs made your way, I opted for hashbrowns and a side of toast. The diner itself is very tidy and clean. Excellent customer service. Upon entry, go to the counter to place your order then they will bring your food out."

"Great ambiance- shrimp ceviche is excellent Lime margaritas were a little too sweet for all 3 in our party Server was very nice."
"LOVED LOVED LOVED Brayan & Beto!!!! Service was amazing, food was fantastic!!!! Had a long day & was indecisive, most restaurants when I ask what do you recommend seem bothered by the question but Brayan immediately suggested with confidence. All things he suggested were A+!"
"El Cantorito is located on Santa Fe Ave in Old Town Placentia. It is one of MANY Mexican restaurants that are independently owned and operated. It's pretty easy to locate; there's limited street parking and a public parking lot in the back of the building. The inside of the restaurant is clean and well maintained and very casual. Seating consists of wooden tables and chairs. No music was playing, but there is a jukebox available to get some tunes going if you please. I'm always on the look out for a good chile relleno and a friend highly recommended theirs. Today I opted for the make-your-own-combo for which I chose a chile relleno and a carnitas crunchy taco. Well, my friend was right! The chile relleno was delicious! The cheese was melty, just the way I like it, and the sauce was unlike any I'd had before. It looked very unpretentious, but the flavor was amazing! The taco was equally tasty. The shell looked too perfect to be freshly made, but it had a nice crunch. The carnitas were oh, so tender and flavorful! Finished off with the right amount of lettuce and tomatoes, it rounded off the meal perfectly. I've mentioned before that the chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant ara a big part of its overall rating and both the chips and the salsa here are on point. There only seemed to be one person doing everything (taking and delivering orders AND doing the cooking), but she did a fantastic job of keeping everything running smoothly. El Cantorito has taken a spot in my top 3 favorite places for chile rellenos and chips & salsa!"
"Oh man! I recently rediscovered this taco truck. I've visited a couple times before but forgot the location and name. When I recently looked up local taco trucks, this came to light and when I got there I was like.. OH that's where you are :) Their asada and al pastor are top notch. I got a couple tacos and our friends got burritos. Their sauces are really good and salsas are pretty spicy. I got grilled onions and extra fixings on top. This is more of a to-go spot unless you want to eat on your trunk or car :) Will be back!"
"Review #581 None Elite Squadthis place is a great Beef Birria Place. it is Pricy but they have some pretty cool stuff. Besides the usual Tacos, Burritos and Quesadillas.. they have Birria Nachos, Birria Ramen, A Birria Plate with rice, beans and Tortillas .. but they Also have Birria Eggrolls and their Awesome Birria Crunch Wrap. There's plenty of Parking, The Customer Service is a straight 5. the birria is a little too salty but really good so I give it a 4.5. the tables are constantly being cleaned. I say try it and see for yourself what all the hype is about.. im giving it a 4.7 but rounding it off here a 5"
"Varsity Burgers in Anaheim is a fantastic spot, especially for those wanting a great meal without paying the typical "theme park tax." Located just a short distance from Disneyland, it's an ideal place to eat before or after visiting the park. I ordered a large order of chili fries and a hot pastrami sandwich, and both were impressive. The chili fries were generously topped and delicious, perfect for sharing or enjoying solo. The hot pastrami sandwich was the highlight for me, piled high with tender, flavorful meat that made each bite satisfying. The portions are massive and definitely worth the money. It's a great choice if you're looking for hearty, quality food at a reasonable price outside the theme park.I recommend the breakfast burritos, they are massive and well worth the money. Also the service is impeccable. They get your order out QUICKLY."
"Taco Tuesday spot inside the packing house in Anaheim. Small place was busy but we had good customer service. Valet parking is $10 parking here is a madness even on a week day. The atmosphere was chill good vibes not loud just perfect."
"Omar was my server and he was amazing ! Great entertainer and I will be back. Also loved the food"
"Was craving a burrito and decided to try out Burriot Bros. The hubs and I shared a shrimp burrito and a couple of fish tacos. The shrimp burrito was fantastic. Fresh veggies, delicious sauce, and dare I say, but not super heavy being a burrito! The fish tacos on the other hand, missed the mark for me. I thought they were a bit bland and wished they would sauce those bad boys up a bit more. Anyways, 5 stars for the shrimp burrito!"
"Came here for my birthday and we had wonderful service!! The food was outstanding. Standouts are the guac, skewers, and anything with steak! Delish and creative drinks! Absolutely will be returning!"

So delicious. I will definitely be back for their amazing asian/mexican fusion. My partner actually got meat on their Coach Special, which I recommend over plain like I had it. I wanted to try a drink so I got their jamaica lychee, a nice flavor to sip between more savory flavors in your meal. I would suggest coming here when they have their happy hour - because the price (with an obvious well-deserved tip) was 80$ to feed 3 people during non-happy hour time. But that is everywhere now a days - especially for a unique flavor combo. So I appreciate the happy hour deals offered!Even during non happy hour times - this place had people coming and going with online orders - which was great - because the place probably couldn't have sat them all! Parking can also be an issue, so order online and have someone drop you off to pick it up during the rush! The server that helped us was very kind, helpful, and on all the online orders & in person orders like a pro.

My husband found this place and surprised me with it while we out in Baldwin Park. We were seated right away and sat next to their large mural on the wall. This place has brunch all day along with mostly Mexican dishes. However, they also have omelet's, skillets, and American breakfast items. Seating is inside and outside, but if you sit outside it could get noisy as they are next to a busy street.I got their Huevos Rancheros ($15.99) with their Pork Belly (Extra $7). It came with two crispy corn tortillas with beans, queso fresco, sour cream, pickled jalapeno's, pickled onions and cilantro. The pork belly was just okay; I should have gotten something different! But what was delicious were those two crispy tortillas! The crunch from the pickled onions and the warm tortilla was just so good. The potatoes it came with were just okay - Next time I think I'll ask for a side salad instead!Applewood Smoked Brisket Skillet ($22.99) - This came with country potatoes topped with melted Oaxaca and Monterey cheese with your choice of bacon/sausage and two eggs your way. We got sausage and it was just okay. The entire dish was just okay in his eyes.We got their Tiramisu pancakes to try ($15.99 + 1.00 for whatever reason) - This came with fresh berries, mascarpone cream, cocoa powder, and expresso syrup. This was not sweet at all, light, fluffy, and very delicious. This was so good; the only dish we had where everything was delicious. This restaurant is on the corner on Maine Ave across from Mamma's Juicery and All That Pho. It shares a big parking lot so parking shouldn't be hard to find.

Taco Pronto is located in a plaza with ample parking. They have a sign on the wall that says the food is made to order. Note that they have a 3% convenience fee for using cards so bring cash if you want to avoid that.CALIFORNIA BURRITO ($12.50) - this had lots of meat but it didn't have guacamole which was extra. It needed some fresh ingredients and was just okay. They put the salsa on the side but I felt like it wasn't enough for the burritos so I had to be pretty conservative with it. 3/5SURF & TURF BURRITO ($13.50) - I liked this one more than the California burrito mostly because of the shrimp. Other than that, they tasted very similar to each other. 3.5/5CARNE ASADA FRIES ($12.50) - I liked the thin fries and they gave good portions of meat. I ordered this without beans and I'm glad I did. The portions could've been bigger but it wasn't bad for the price. 4/5The service was good and they apologized for the food taking long even though I only waited 12 minutes. The meat was well-seasoned but all the dishes eventually started tasting the same. They were also a little stingy on the sauces.

Checked out this restaurant for the first time on a Friday night with my husband. We were greeted at the door and sat right away. Menu's, chips and salsa hit the table promptly. Our server was friendly and offered good suggestions. We ordered the frozen mango margarita with chamoy, as well as the blackberry margarita on the rocks, both really good!Loved the food. We ordered the table side guac, it was delicious. The carne asada fries were amazing and so was the mi casita burrito made with Al pastor. But what really stood out to me was the service. This restaurant staff flows in harmony. Bartender made our drinks and dropped them off right away. Server made our table side guac promptly, Food runner brought our food nice and hot, and happily brought us extra napkins. Our server check on us and offered a refill of warm chips. A sweet older woman came and picked up our plates once we boxed the leftovers. Dessert came out quickly. Everything was very smooth, they have their operations down to a T, very impressive. As a former waitress myself, I appreciated how well this restaurant flows. The main server, had everything under control, he had SO many tables but handled it with such grace, and was multitasking as the host and drink runner. He made it look easy.Interior was a bit outdated, but in the "old charming family owned business" kind of way. You can tell their clientele is very faithful and they come here for good food and hospitality. Seemed like a place where lots of local regulars would enjoy. Overall, we had a great experience. The staff is welcoming and the food is delicious. On our way out the bartender thanked us for coming with a smile. This place really embody the saying "Mi casa es tu casa." Looking forward to coming back and bringing friends.

So, the friend and I needed to go to Anaheim to pick up some wood for some woodworking projects we were doing and I looked on Yelp to find a place on our way from San Clemente to Anaheim and back. Gonzalez's Restaurant popped out. Investigating more, I found that they had a special of "Pambazo" which I had never heard of before. I have a been to Mexico several dozen times for business and pleasure and no one ever introduced me to this kick ass sandwich and frankly, I am a little bit pissed off! I have had tortas, dipped in sauce, to help many a hangover, but I had not been exposed to the "Pambazo". So, I had a mission. We got to the small shop and there were several people in there, but not crowded. It was about noon on a Thursday. Hole in the wall place? Kinda, sorta, but very clean and not grungy at all. We were greeted nicely by a gal who's grandparents (I think, or parents?) own the restaurant. She was very, very nice and while some people ordered at the counter, she told us we to sit down with some menus and she would come take our order. While I reviewed the huge selection on the menu, I only wanted to try to Pambazo. Our server came to our table and was very patient as I asked many questions about the Pambazo options and the friend asked about the burrito protein options. What else, but I needed to try the OG, the Pambazo Papa con Chorizo. As we waited for our food, we were treated to some chips and a very tasty salsa. They should bottle it and sell it. Maybe they do, I didn't ask but I should have.Out came our food and it was piping hot. Yes. That's how you do it.As I poked and move the sandwich around, it was certainly soaked in the red enchilada sauce and I pondered if I should pick it up or get fork and knife. So unlike me (and most other men) I asked for directions from the server. She said I needed to pick it up and get my hands dirty, as that is how it is done. So, damn it, I did as I was told. This was the messiest deliciousness I have ever had. Bread was fresh and soaked with the red sauce. Chorizo was EXCELLENT. Lettuce and queso fresco were in there as well. Yum, Yum, Yum... Stop reading this, get your butt in the car and get yourself to Gonzalez's Restaurant. Now. Are you still reading????Go. Eat GREAT. HAVE FUN!

Came in solo for Sunday Brunch because I had a gift card that was expiring. I made reservations for 2 for the patio but then my party became 1. I was promptly seated inside by the bar with a view of the dessert station. My server took me on a tour of the buffet I asked if I could sit outside and she either didn't understand the request or the answer was no. She handed me a plate in response. I would have enjoyed sitting on the patio which is why I requested it on my reservation. It was not full. There is a variety of foods, a taco, quesadilla, chilaquile station. Lots of shrimp, pork, ribs and beef and chicken. You will definitely fill up after 1 or 2 plates. There is ice cream, cotton candy and a chocolate fountain. The fruits are not ripe but better than over ripe. The desert station has a lot of options. Cheesecake would be a nice addition.Non alcohol drinks are included. The service is A+. They go out of their way to be friendly and attentive. You have a welcome cocktail and its an overall upscale friendly brunch experience. Highly recommend. I came around noon and it ends at 2. Plenty of nearby parking. Their bar is absolutely beautiful.

Generous portions, good food. It's a busy little hole in the wall place, but they crank to get everyone served. Our party sat on the patio and enjoyed the food and conversation. There's ample parking. I would recommend and we'll be back.

"This is a hole in the wall taco place and as authentic as you get besides food trucks or street taco stands. They have tacos, burritos, quesadillas with your choice of meat and cilantro, onions and or cheese as a toppings. They used to have an open salsa bar which was great now you have to ask for sauce, jalapeño etc the staff seem reluctant to give them to you. There are not a lot of parking in front and sometimes there is a long line."
"4+ A large restaurant that serves Mexican food and seems like it's good for groups. The service was good and very attentive. I thought this place was very nice and it has that Orange County aesthetic. I'm not sure how to fully explain it, but it's along the lines of just what you might see as a nice restaurant that's attached to a hotel or something. I met up with my colleague here for appetizers and drinks. We ordered a few of the coconut calamari, some tacos, and a few glasses of bourbon. If you look in the right place, you can find a really good value for some awesome bourbons. The food was great. I can't complain there. The spot is definitely a good place for catching up with people or business dinners and lunches. As a matter of fact, I think there were three or four different groups that were there for work related purposes at the time we were there. In terms of parking, I think this area is tough to find parking unless you want to pay lots of money. The restaurant does validate, but if you stay a little over, then the pricing could rack up really quickly."
"It's about time. After driving by this Newport Beach gem dozens (if not hundreds) of times I finally had the opportunity to stop by for lunch. Tidepoole is well known to both the locals and tourists of Newport Beach. Their storefront is front and center on PCH, so it's truly hard to miss. I stopped by today after attending a nearby yoga class and grabbed a bite to-go. Their menu was straight forward, with options like sandwiches, pizzas, light sides, etc. I ordered the Charlie Sammy: sourdough, pesto, artichoke, provolone, tomatoes, and arugula. I also paid extra to add chicken as protein. The meal was delicious and served with a sliced pickle. The restaurant was close to empty, but I bet it stays jam packed during the summer months. Despite the slow season, parking is still tough. You'll find street parking available in the nearby residential neighborhoods. Luckily it's a nice walk, so don't let this small hiccup keep you from visiting!"

"I was visiting a friend in Brea, and she recommended De Oro La Puerta, a small hole-in-the-wall in a small shopping center. I have been to this plaza before but have yet to notice this spot. They have plenty of indoor seating, significant portions, and some tasty food. You start off the dining experience with some warm chips and spicy salsa. I paired my meal with a cold Pacifico too! I got the El Trio Taco plate, two carne asada, and one El Pastor Taco for my entree. The El Pastor was great, but the carne asada tasted old and dry. I enjoyed the refried beans and rice too. I recommend the enchilada; I took a bite and loved it!The major con of this spot was that the service was soo slow! You can also see other tables getting restless for their food. We were also hurrying to get to the Angels game and felt like we were waiting forever. They were understaffed, but unfortunately, the service took a bit too long for my liking."
"Got hungry while in King Richard's and luckily the hours for this place on yelp are wrong (open to 4 on weekends)The cinna sticks were so good. Crisp but soft, sweet but not too sweet. Get them."
"I was on my way to pick up dinner at another nearby Mexican place when I saw the long line at this taqueria, so I decided to get food here due to popular endorsement.Obviously, I did not order online ahead of time, but I didn't have to wait long. I got my food in about ten minutes, with a cabeza taco plate and two fish tacos. I drove the loot to the Kaiser Downey hospital, where my dad was hospitalized. The food filled my car with the sweet taco aroma during the drive, and even the hospital receptionist commented how good it smelled. I felt bad for her because I couldn't share any of it with her.It was a different story after I took the first bite into the tacos. It was good, but it didn't knock my socks off, and I wasn't even wearing one of those anti-slip hospital socks lined with traction pads. The rice and beans were also mediocre. I devoured them because I was hungry, not because they're particularly tasty.I learned that just because something is popular doesn't mean that it's guaranteed to be good."
"Lagos Mexican Cuisine is located in the SOCO district of downtown Fullerton. There is convenient free parking right across the street in the multi-level parking garage. The restaurant can get busy at times and I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable. There were no reservations available on a Saturday night, but we took a chance and went anyway. With no delay, we were seated at a high-top table in the bar area which also hosts one of several regular seating areas. The restaurant has a trendy feel and has a lot of multi-colored lighting and great décor. The restrooms are even well decorated and have an upscale feel. The bar looks nice and there are several TVs which had sports on.It took about ten minutes for a server to initially come to our table, but after that the service was smooth and timely. Chips and salsa are not complementary but we ordered some anyway. The chips were nice and fresh and the salsa had good flavor and some heat that slowly creeps up on you. I enjoyed a jalapeno margarita which had a perfect mix of tequila, mixer, and spice and I always like the Tajin rim. She liked the Sol De Passion cocktail but would have rather had a full drink without the champagne shot on the side. We asked the server if you're supposed to pour it in and he said some people do and some just have it on the side.I had the Yucatan shrimp which was a great dish. There were a lot of shrimp inside and the tomatillo sauce had a light heat to it. The rice was nice and fluffy and I think I tasted a little touch of lime. I usually do not like beans, especially when they contain whole beans. But surprisingly these beans were delicious and I actually ate them all. We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and this is only the second place where I actually really enjoyed the beans. She really enjoyed the Al Pastor tacos. The quality and flavor of the food is always most important, but it's nice when the presentation is good also and these were nice looking entrees. This is the second time we have dined here and we will definitely be back again."
"The service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious but on the spicy side (not a fan of spicy food) and made fresh to order. The chips and guacamole were my favorite! Guacamole was made fresh, I even took the left over home, couldn't let it go to waste. The ambiance was chill but we left as soon as a group with small kids were seated next to us. Didn't want our meal to be ruined by crying screaming children. Will definitely be coming back."
"There is a lot on the menu. It's a small place, so ordering online for pickup is easiest because they're always busy."
"When the in-laws are happy with a restaurant, it makes me extra happy that we secured a restaurant we can all enjoy together. Some of our favorites include: cheese quesadilla, al pastor wet burrito, asada torta, asada and al pastor tacos. Just a heads up though... if you're a girl going alone then I suggest going when the sun is still up. It can get a bit scary at nighttime... heh"
"Yelp did not disappoint! I ordered the salmon plate and my husband ordered the beef kabob. Both were delicious!! Portions are generous too. The patio music was so fun! I felt like dancing Zumba. :) Will definitely be back to this place!"
