Anacortes Food Coop

Great coop....everytime I walk in, there are new, amazing organic, local and sustainable products. It's come a long way and I always come here first to see what new items and produce they have since I rarely have to shop anywhere else now. It's so packed with carefully chosen staples that weren't there when they first relocated. The staff is helpful and friendly, and theres a little cafe Cool Beans with a coffee/juice bar that serves delicious items that are vegan also. I'm so pleased to finally see a coop in Anacortes, and that I can support such an amazing member owned business.

I loved this place, I have been traveling and just dying for healthy food and this hit the spot, a nicely curated selection and high quality unique products, I purchased this Laird superfood cocau non dairy creamer and I am obsessed. The sandwich bar is tasty, offers gluten free and opens at 11. Lastly, I love how a coop smells, herby, spicy, fresh and it really brings back that 90's nostalgia for coops and health food stores before big guys took over the game. Also membership is not required. It's all good. Love.

Didn't get hired over small charge when I was 12 years old the interview was going great til they mentioned something a small thing on my record that should have been expunged about when I was 18 no idea why that would change there mind I am a adult kind caring upstanding citizen but I get it they weed people out but maybe too much could have been a great addition to your team but just judgmental. Now it's a bit pricey so if your frugal it might not be the place for you but they make some great subs I'd compare them to jimmy John's and most employees are helpful :)

I love the Anacortes Food co-op! I loved it before they moved to the new location which of course has more room for more fabulous local organic options. It's one of the many places in Anacortes that I miss. I miss chatting with Shawn about all things culinary! He is very knowledgeable and Whenever I made banana bread, I could always count on them having overripe bananas! The blacker and mushier the better!

The staff are always genuinely-friendly and welcoming. They support locally-grown produce and products. The prices are very reasonable compared to the Skagit Valley Food Co-op in Mt Vernon. They also have a great system in place to accommodate customers paying with EBT. This is the only grocery store in Anacortes that will get my business from here on out. Thank you for existing AFC!
