Amorn Thai Cuisine

I love hole-in-the-wall restaurants and Amorn Thai is certainly a hidden gem within Mountlake Terrace. However, the food was just okay. As I always do, I ordered the Pad See Ew, as that is my favorite Thai dish, but most of the noodles were a bit burnt and the noodles were very saucy. I usually finish my food, but if I'm not a big fan of something, I'll have a harder time finishing it. That's exactly what happened here. The restaurant seems to be pretty busy, so others seem to enjoy it, but it may just not be for me.

We visited today on our way back from Edmonds to the east side. I've been here once before and remember the pad kee mao being pretty decent. As you can see from my rating, I was a bit disappointed. Portions were big, owners were very friendly, and the pad kee mow was still pretty decent. However, the panang curry was very disappointing. Not much flavor, but the real drawback was that the entire curry had one small slice of bell pepper to accompany the many pieces of tofu (see my picture). There were no other vegetables besides that one small slice of pepper. The sauce was thin and not flavorful, as well. The total came out to about $40 for the two entrees and a side of white rice. I feel like you can get a much better meal from other places at a similar price point.

The BEST Thai food that I have had since visiting Bangkok. Small family owned business, normally quiet. Service is always good.

Ordered from here a couple times now. If you like saucy pad see ew then you will like it here. My husband loves it! As for me, my go-to dish is Pad Thai and I could not finish it. The sauce is more on the ketchup sweet side but it was bland at the same time maybe because it was dry. I would go back but would definitely try something else. The restaurant inside had other asian snacks/food for sale at the register which is pretty unique and cool.

This restaurant is one of my favorite hidden gems! I usually get the classics, pad thai, the noodles with peanut sauce, and Thai ice tea. All very good! Also, when I ordered take out, the Thai ice tea was massive (which I loved)! My only critique is their hours. I'm sure it's situated now, but sometimes they're in and out of closing for weeks at a time so just call in to make sure. If you get a chance, definitely check them out!!

Home style Thai cooking! If you are looking for "that place" where food magic happens, look no further. Family owned, fresh ingredients, friendly customer care and your meal prepared to perfection. What more is needed for an outstanding Thai meal.

Ordered take out. chicken pad thai was overly sweet and very wet. First time had a pad thai with wet scramble egg. It's more like sugar and vinegar noodle instead of pad Thai. Pad see ew is a little better but still a little below average. I will not order these again if I even come back...

I ordered beef pad thai and was disgusted when I bite into a piece of raw chicken. I called the restaurant to let them about it and I let them know that I had pictures and they said I could send them to the number I called. I sent the pictures and they said I could come in and get a new order. I kindly texted them back and asked for a refund because I will not go back and eat there again.. I even sent a video of me throwing the whole meal away, and they said they'd be happy to remake it but wouldn't refund my money. I will starve before eating there so I guess I'll either call my bank and cancel the payment or take it as a loss .. either way I give this place - 10 STARS .. if u eat there make sure you check for raw chicken and pray over your food.
