FUN ROCK BAR w/ MID-TIER FOOD... I decided to try the pizza at The Gaslamp's American Junkie as it's a heavily advertised item on the menu. It was fine...it probably wouldn't be at the top of my ordering list next time as it left much to be desired. American Junkie is more of a drinking spot to hang with friends and listen to punk, grunge, emo and pop rock hits. I really liked the aesthetic of this place! Service was a bit rocky, the waitress I encountered was nice, but not very attentive. Also, the place seems heavily understaffed. I came at a time when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant and the food still came out somewhat late. Oh, and there was this guy who made me very uncomfortable, he had staring problems. I don't know if he was a busboy or what, this dude was rude! American Junkie offers other American fare like chicken, burgers, and classic appetizers (mozzarella sticks, shrimp, nachos etc.). I spotted a few fun alcoholic drinks exclusive to SDCC. American Junkie is a large space with plenty of seating which includes booths, tables, outdoor seating, and a large bar with stools. I've heard people jump on top of the bar? Oh and there's a spin-the-wheel activity for late night party animals. If you're into that, it's here. Overall, I'm not impressed, in fact I'm maybe a little underwhelmed.

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR PHONE STOLEN!!!!!!!I was in town this past weekend,7/20 Saturday I was in Gaslamp for dinner and wanted to dance. something told me not to enter this place. I had to use the bathroom as soon as I walked in, I had to walk through the dance floor to get to the women's restroom. I went in my bag to tip the bathroom attendant and my phone was gone!!!not even there for 5 minutes and I got pick pocketed.right after I told security, doorman, bartender, manager and all responded "it happens all the time here".next thing you know several other girls are reporting their phones were also stolen.the staff did Nothing!if you have over a dozen girls miss their phones how about stop the door and security inside start scanning the place! use a flashlight. look to see who is suspicious!there's security at the dance floor which where they pick pocketed me so what is he doing stand there and not notice any of this happening!the amount of people I met that all lost their phone was crazy to me, I met over 12 people and hearing others while walking out they don't have their phone.the next morning i went to T-Mobile and the worker which was a SD local has said this place is known for it happening and staff is known to be behind it. explains why nobody did anything! I will never go back here again. from what was a nice trip and a fun night was ruin by this place and their untrained/unprofessional staff and the losers who pick pocket. if this place is known for this happening, why don't cameras get checked. how about a size limit on purses, put some protocols in place!the manager that night wearing a white polo, he looked Filipino, was rude and nonchalant about what is happening in the establishment.DO NOT COME HERE!!this ruined my whole trip and created unnecessary expenses having to get a new phone. went from a great trip and night to be ruined entering this place.DO NOT COME HERE, NOT WORTH IT PLUS ITS A $20 COVER THEY WOULDNT EVEN REFUND ME FOR AFTER I COMPLAINED,I paid $40 for me and my friend to walk in, get my phone stolen in 5minutes, and they couldn't even refund! If you're going to gaslamp, go somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!

This was one of my least favorite spots during my visit. There are good things about it but not my favorite place at all. The good: $5 all you can eat tacos on taco Tuesday. Fun decor. Beer pong tournament. The bad: I asked for a ranch water (tequila,soda, and lime) and was given something else. When I told the server she assured me the drink was correct and it definitely wasn't.If you want cheap food and drinks check it out! There are other places you can go in the gas lamp district for better food and service.

Great bar in Gaslamp. We came in for the last quarter of the Chiefs vs. Bills play off game and they were BUSY. The bar was full and most tables were taken, but they had a few available inside and the entire patio available. They have an evening happy hour that's also available during the weekends, which was perfect for Sunday Night football! We ordered a few drinks and appetizers - Buffalo boneless wings and chips, guac and salsa. Our boneless wings actually came out as cauliflower wings, not sure if the kitchen messed up or if the server brought us the wrong dish. But she was quick to recognize they were wrong and bring us the right wings. The Buffalo sauce was actually spicy and the wings were huge. The chips & dips were standard but perfect for a game night. The service was great. Although they were very busy, we got our drinks and apps fairly quickly.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't remember much about this place because I was drunky buuuut my pictures I took say I had a blast! I do remember good cocktails though!

Good food, turns into a bar/club at night. The night time crowd here is typically an older crowd. Can get a table here if you would like!

Great spot to hangout with a few friends and grab some drinks. They had several specials ($3 white claws and .50 c wings)Wings were bomb, I really liked the honey jalapeno. While we were there they did drag show bingo, my wife has attended a few in the past and stated this one was not great in comparison. Service was great, atmosphere was great, specials were great. One of our friends mentioned they do 5$ all you can eat tacos on tuesday. Great spot to chill!

Located in the heart of Gaslamp. We were bar hopping and stopped here for a couple drinks this Sunday late afternoon. The hostess was not too inviting, but as we were about to walk away, a gentleman walked up to us and convinced us to go in with a bar promotion. Shout out to our bar tender, Timothy who was very attentive and mixed our drinks perfectly. This pub has plenty of TVs playing sports with a great atmosphere. We didn't experience the nightlife here as we walked in during the late afternoon but we were pleased with our experience.

Great place, delicious food. I ate the American burger and it was juicy and flavorful. I normally don't finish an entire burger but it was too good not to. I also had their Cadillac margarita and I've got to say for being a Happy Hour drink it did not disappoint. Not too sweet and just the right amount of tequila. Our server Julia was exceptional, making sure we were well taken care of. Thank you Julia! We will be back next month for another concert and will definitely return.
