AME Japanese Thai Fusion

Gave me the best shits ever, felt like my pipes were cleaned out so well after eating here.

Too bad, too sad. If you're gonna sell sushi, ya ought to know how to make it. First, my yellow fin roll was smothered to death in a yucky mayo sauce. Second, the seaweed that it was rolled in was too tough to chew. Third, the rice was undercooked. Fourth, the yellow fin was sliced too thin or in cross-grain chunks inhibiting chewability and flavor. Fifth, the avocado was not ripe. Sixth, it fell apart because of all the above factors. Also, the bowl of miso was too large, which means you are overdosed with miso that gets cold with too large chunks of too much seaweed and tofu. Same with the salad. The favor available in Japanese cooking is about proportion! The sushi at Haggens is better and that ain't saying much...

Walked in with my partner and was greeted by a huge, contagious smile, she brought us to our table right away! Such a cute little building, cozy vibes for sure.I had such a hard time deciding what to get, but my partner and I landed on the chicken yakisoba, spicy tuna roll, and miso soup. It filled us up quite a bit, we shared the noodles and sushi. The owner also brought over a variety of spicy sauces and my partner said they were all delicious, various spice levels. The chicken yakisoba was delicious. Everything you'd want in a yakisoba. Can't go wrong with it. The miso soup was probably some of the best I've ever had. Sooo comforting!The spicy tuna rolls were also delicious and presented beautifully. But what really got my partner and I was the lemongrass sauce the owner had brought over for us. IT WAS SO REFRESHING AND FLAVORFUL!! Wow, we even ended up dipping our chicken from the yakisoba in it. The staff and service was so amazing. Very kind people at AME. We are definitely coming back!

Ordered sushi and appetizers to go. The service was quick and friendly . The sushi was fresh and delicious.

The hostess is incredibly kind and helpful, and while it's rather empty of decoration it was still cozy and I enjoyed the garden through the large picture window. The veggie tempura was perfectly cooked and not greasy, the tamago maki was flavorful and had a nice texture, and my tofu avacado green curry was absolutely delicious. Very ginger forward, lightly spicy, and silky. My only nitpick is that the vegetarian options are limited.

This is a new restaurant that opened in same location where the Japanese restaurant Kyoto Kitchen used to be. We liked Kyoto Kitchen and was sorry to see it close, but it's nice to have another Japanese restaurant in its place. Same address, same phone number, different Chef and Staff. Ordered the Chicken Kaarge appetizer (Japanese fried chicken) and Teriyaki Salmon Bento Box. Overall good food and good service. I would order it again and also try other menu items. To the restaurant owner and staff: Welcome to the Neighborhood!
