Sat at the bar ... our server wasn't very friendly or attentive. Others I flagged down were friendly and helpful. A couple of people did come by right after we sat down to ask if we were doing okay ... no further check-ins after our food started coming.Nice prosciutto, though underripe melon. Would have liked either no cheese or the grated Reggiano they brought me for my Bolognese.I prefer a rich, reduced Bolognese sauce ... this is one is okay, but not rich or reduced. Prominent tomato taste ... nice tomatoes (other than the halved raw tomatoes, which I could do without) but not enough of meat flavor for a primarily meat-based sauce. Pappardelle was too thick and chewy (not al dente toothsoome and could be rolled a bit thinner). My husband liked his "gigante" meatball in tomato sauce (he didn't taste or see any cream ... the menu says a light cream classic tomato sauce). He also didn't care for his pappardelle. We took our dessert to go because of the very loud operatic singing that began table by table. Not something I care for (I don't mind music, but this is way too loud in an open space with hard surfaces). The tiramisu is different. Well-soaked lady fingers, not enough chocolate/cocoa ... when is that ever the case??Overall, some good flavors, but only okay execution and not very good service.

A couple of my friends and I came here for my birthday dinner. We sat outside. It was a nice place, with very friendly service. I really love seafood pasta, and it was hard for me to decide on what to try here. Two of us got the Linguine Piccante al Pesto Gamberoni, and my other friend got the Pasta Frutti di Mare Zafferano. The pasta was delicious; good texture. My friend shared some of here seafood from her Pasta Frutti di Mare. She said it was a lot of seafood, which to me, is a very good thing

This food was absolutely nasty. Calamari was soggy. Gorgonzola sauce and pasta with weird shrimp? No thanks. This is not Italian. None of the pastas looked appetizing and that should have been a sign. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. The atmosphere is ok and while the service was pleasant neither were stellar.

The food and service were excellent. The ambiance was very nice as well. Definitely, a great place for a celebration or special occasion. In addition the owner is an excellent guitarist's, and has a good singing voice. He goes around from table to table to check on his guests and serenades them. No mealIs complete without dessert.

Came here to celebrate a couple birthdays. Restaurant is nice and spacious and there are a good amount of tables and parking. Service was nice and food came out very quickly. Calamari was ok - a little undersalted but the sauce had a kick to it. The Cioppino came with a nice light broth, ample fresh seafood and a couple slices of hearty bread. Enjoyed this dish! The Ravioli di Costata di Manzo (beef ravioli w mushroom marsala sauce and short rib) was a new try for me as I haven't had marsala sauce before. The short rib was a large portion and very tender, dish came with maybe 5-6 good sized raviolis, but I found the sauce was ok for a few bites but could not eat much of it as it was very rich for my palate ... Pollo Lemon Cream Marsala dish was OK. Chicken was dry so a 2nd one was made which was a little better than the first, but still dry. The marsala pasta sauce tasted a little lighter than the sauce that came with the Ravioli but it was still quite rich and hard to finish. As a whole, the dining experience and food was a bit hit or miss for my family - but I'm still glad I finally got to try it out!

The well-known Italian restaurants in the Puget Sound should be aware of this up-and-coming restaurant. I've been to almost all the Italian restaurants: Carmine's, The Pink Door, Cinque, Barolo, etc..., but Amarone has won me over as my new favorite Italian restaurant purely on its food alone. We came on a Sunday night without reservations, and we were fortunate to get a table. The restaurant is modestly sized, so it best to place a reservation in case. We ordered the antipasti, which had a tasty variety of their appetizer menu including prosciutto, bruschetta, vegetables, and fruits. For our entrees, we ordered the linguine with clams and mussels and the arrabbiata pasta. Their clams and mussels were fresh, and the sauce with a unique herb taste. Their arrabbiata sauce surprised me with its depth. Without a doubt the tomatoes in the sauce are San Marzano as expected, but there's a richer/umami note from mushrooms and/or perhaps sardines that makes the dish the winning dish for us to return. Their live music was another great novelty. They have a guitarist that comes table-to-table and sings to you Frank Sinatra songs or some Italian classics.

PLEASE READ: ANY ONE STAR REVIEWS COULD BE FAKE. I found out that people that were associated with this restaurant but that no longer are were using my yelp account to leave faults bad reviews to improve their competing business. I have reason to believe they do this with other yelp accounts as well to make it look like their competitors are providing bad service. It's so disgusting, cowardly and greedy. If you provide good service and great food you should be able to gain your own loyal following and good reviews and reputation without being dishonest. I'm truly embarrassed for these people who are acting to pathetic. As a business owner myself I was shocked and very angry that someone would stoop that low for greed and use my name and picture to do so! Someone in my household was associated with said party and was asking to use my yelp account, I never in a million years assumed it was for leaving false and damaging reviews. So I apologize that unknowingly facilitated these false reviews. I erased the reviews but unfortunately they were up for some time before I saw them and caught on to what they were doing. I had to wait until that person left my household to correct it due to the fear of retaliation. I have been here once and I very much enjoyed the meal. The service was great. The atmosphere was awesome. Building was very clean and well decorated. I have no complaints. Best of luck to you!

The food here was delicious; the service was less than stellar but not horrible. We arrived for dinner around 7 and were seated near a window. Not much to see outside other than the Issaquah Highlands neighborhood it's situated in, but no complaints. Live music was nice; we were glad he didn't come directly to our table because we don't prefer the attention.Things started out okay as we placed our order. Calamari batter was fluffy and tasty. We loved the linguine with spicy pesto--we both had never thought of spicy pesto before but you can count on us adding jalapeños or peppers to our next pesto dish. The arrabbiata was tasty as well. Now to the service. We needed a minute or two more to make our decision, but our server left us for another 10 before returning to take our orders. Then we never saw her again. We don't need a lot but other than a brief table touch by a manager, we felt otherwise forgotten. We asked multiple times for more water from a different staff member walking by and I had to flag someone for the check about fifteen minutes after completing our meal. My best guess is that this was an error in a team service model or maybe our server had to take a lunch or go home, but it was an odd experience to say the least.Loved the food, expected more from the service.

This has become my favorite Italian restaurant. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious. Great service. Tony also will sing for you if he's around.

Came here once and had the most excellent food. Was raving about it and came back with some family. The service was excellent but all pasta dishes were so horribly over peppered it was almost inedible. Considering giving this place another chance but for the cost should be excellent every time.
