Three months ago, my friend and I met up here for dinner. We ordered the vegetarian rolls, dumplings, ka-prow chicken, and duck choo chee. The vegetarian rolls were crispy spring rolls stuffed with veggies and served with sweet and sour sauce. They were very good. The dumplings were steamed and stuffed with ground chicken and vegetables. It came with soy sauce for dipping. I didn't like the cilantro sprinkled on top of it. The ka-prow chicken was a Thai dish with chopped chicken stir fried with hot chilies and basil. I thought it was more sweet than spicy. The duck choo chee was a curry dish with boneless roasted duck , pineapple and vegetables. It was good.We also ordered a bottle of Pomelo which was light and refreshing. Overall, it was decent Thai food in a nice quiet restaurant.

Down a half-flight of stairs, Amarin of Thailand offers tasty Thai fare in picturesque Wellesley. During a holiday week, the restaurant was doing brisk take-out business - some clients had been waiting patiently for their orders. It took a while to figure out what I wanted. Do I go with my favorite, the Pad Thai? Or try the duck or a curry? In the end, I went with the familiar, even though it was loaded with calories and carbs. Since I was on vacation, I was also getting ultra-sweet Thai iced tea, as well.We started with some steamed dumplings, filled with minced chicken. They were skillfully made but lacked flavor. We also had the crab rangoons, which can be hit-or-miss. This time, the crispy won ton skins filled with crab and cream cheese and served with plum sauce was a hit. My nephew enjoyed the shrimp in blankets; my brother liked his Pad See-Ew.As for the Pad Thai, I loved the thin rice noodles with crunchy shrimp and fried egg, in a delicious sauce and topped with chopped, fragrant peanuts. It was so good, I had all of it in one sitting.Service was okay. We were warned that the Pad See-Ew and Pad Thai would take a while because of the takeout orders that preceded ours. They did, more so than the quoted time.

Just delicious! Fresh authentic Thai food with excellent flavor - I used to come here years ago and when bringing my husband this past week, he was blown away by the Pad Thai and Pork Medallions. The service is genuine, warm and welcoming and the space is unique. Highly recommend!

Normally, I give a place at least two chances before I write it off. Even then, I am loath to post a bad review. However, in this case, one try and the most terrible food ... Everything was so overcooked! The shrimp was so dry, it broke into powder. The pork was the toughest I had ever been served by a restaurant. The scallops - also powdery dry even in a broth! The chicken satay - yes you guessed it! And even the noodles were mush. Two of us also got cramps right after eating. (FYI- The one who did not get cramps did not eat the scallops.) And to pay $80 for this takeout - insult added to injury. Too bad.

Very disappointed with a recent order. The Siam Rolls were greasy, the Chicken Wings were greasy and oddly had only essence of Chicken meat under the glob of fried skin) .....just terrible! The most disappointing part of the meal was the Shrimp Pad Thai. While there was only essence of Shrimp in the dish (I would have ordered Chicken Pad Thai if I thought the portion of Chicken would have been greater), there was also essence of sprouts and nothing else but a glob of noodles. I will not be going back!

had the beef and brocolI. Tasted spoiled, ruined the entire night. I couldn't even eat the curry which was alright. Service was below average. Place was pretty nice no complaints on visuals.

I have not been able to find Thai food that can compare to Amarin. It is beautifully prepared, the ingredients are fresh, and everything I have ordered is excellent. After years of living close to the restaurant, I now drive 25 minutes to get take-out. The people are lovely.

Food was a bit too salty. The service was very good. The restaurant is showing its age and can use some updating.

We have been to Thailand and prefer Amarin! The food is consistently good and service is very nice when we go. I do not order wine by the glass because I do not like their wine as much. I get a gin and tonic instead.
