Came in and got the lamb rogan Josh and boneless chicken biryani. Chicken biryani was 10/10 amazing, would definitely recommend and get again. Flavor was impeccable and good portion size. Lamb rogan Josh a solid 8/10, tender lamb but thought the curry itself could use a little more flavor. Service was prompt and got the food quickly.Ambiance is ok, feel like they can improve the decor - but come for the food!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Nashville area, just out of the way from where I live and work. The curries and biryani here are made to perfection. It is worth the trip. Service is good too. The chicken appetizers are also good too.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Food was delicious. The flavors were balanced and portions reasonable. The server was kind and attentive. We ate around 8 PM on a Thursday. It was a relaxed and enjoyable environment where private conversation can happen at normal volumes. We will be back.

We came in on Sunday for dinner right when the restaurant opened up at 5pm. We weren't even greeted as the servers were preparing the tables and putting the curtain up in the buffet area. They just told us to grab the first booth. We grabbed a menu ourself and got seated. We ordered Garlic Naan, Vege Korma, Idly, Masala Dosa. Everything was delicious, at the right spice level. Customer service was lacking though, as the servers weren't smiling or friendly. They brought everything what we asked though. Still giving five stars based on the food only not on the customer service.

The restaurant look huge from the outside but it's actually a little small on the inside (dining area). The kitchen must take up a ton of space. But this is by far one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever eaten at. I'm super picky when it comes to Indian food, most of the time, if I order something chicken, it's always too dry/over cooked. My little one is also particular. If the chicken is too dry, he won't eat his food. I did ask the server if he cook let the cooks know not to overcook the chicken....and he listened! My son's favorite dishes is the butter chicken and that's what we ordered (lunch version) this place did not disappoint. He devoured the butter chicken and naan...I had a bite of his chicken and was really happy it was not dried out. The chicken 65 that came with the lunch special was also super good. I have never tried chicken 65 before and it was pretty darn good. It reminds me of Chinese char sui Indian style. We ordered Lamb Vindaloo and Lamb Biryani. My absolute favorite at every Indian restaurant is the Biryani. Not all restaurants have/serve different types of biryani, so I'm really happy to see Amaravati serves this here. The portion is HUGE!!!! The entree along can be shared with multiple people! The spices that the lamb was marinated it was just on point! so delicious! We also tried a non vegetarian Thali, this was something nice to try since I have not explored all Indian cuisine. Some of the chicken curries were super dried and I did not care for it. I was able to try chicken 555 and it was super good. This is something I will order in the future. The beets were also good. Everyting else, I did not care for much. I will not order the Thali in the future but it was something good to try. I will definitely return here!

We tried the Lamb Biryani and Buttered Chicken take out. Both were very delicious with generous portions so we could share. I will go back and try several different dishes.

Fresh and vibrant Indian cuisine in Brentwood! Unassuming at first with deliverate (slow) service, the end product will not dissappoint!I had the Mixed Vegetable Korma (curry) with naan. The orange colored korma was hot and fresh, and to my desired spice level. Authentically smooth and varied with vegetables. The naan was crisp and hot, nicely contrasting textures with the korma.I had the carrot halwa for dessert. It was sweet and tender. The portion is generous--so much so I thought it digestively prudent to quit while I was ahead. Really despite its seemingly benign volume enough for three to four persons. Amaravati is a compliment to a varied and vibrant food scene in Brentwood. A healthy yet delicious alternative to the other options in the area.

We had a great time eating here with friends and family. The decor and environment could use a refresher but the food and service were great. From the Samosas to the many curries, to the Biryani's and Dosa. It was all excellent quality. Highly recommend you check this local spot out.

This place is great! Food is always really good. The one draw back has been wait times. Can be rough. The biryanis and curries are always stellar!

Don't get the goat curry. Tried to get the lamb but they were out. Goat curry barely had meat, and the rest were bone and hard tendon. Plus, I had to pick out so many shards of bone out of my teeth and almost choked on some too. I had a literal graveyard of bones from my curry. Forgot our drink orders too. Glad I mentioned it at the bill before they charged us.I can understand it's during a busy lunch hour but I'll probably pass on the bone curry next time if I ever come back.
