Amalfi Cucina Italiana

The food here was amazing from last night but the customer service here is even better. The wine and pasta went beautifully together when recommended by our waitress. We had a curly haired waitress who was really nice and super attentive but I don't remember her name. I believe it was Sarah or Sabrina but she had red headed hair. All around great experience 10/10.

We had a birthday dinner here last weekend, at a table for eight. We enjoyed the view, the service was very friendly, and the food was great. We had cocktails - loved the Old Fashioned - and mocktails. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer and the clams and mussels which were very generous - ask for bread to soak up the broth! We also had salad. I think we all ordered pasta for our main course, so we had a variety and enjoyed it all (though I would have preferred capellini instead of bucatini). Didn't try the dessert - we had brought our own cake - but they did bring us plated and a knife.We will be back!

Worm in my pasta dish. Came here with family I hadn't seen in years. The rest of my experience was lovely. Great location, seated us quickly, friendly wait staff. Ordered the pappardelle pasta with mushrooms in a cream sauce. I was more than half way through my dish when I noticed something that did not look like a mushroom. I wasn't sure it was a mealworm at first, but it is now that I look at the picture I took. The waiter took my dish away, mentioned it must have come in from someone's salad? And offered to make me a new one....no way. Or anything else on the menu. They were very kind about it, but knowing I might have eaten half this worm really made my stomach roll. They did remove the meal from our bill, but it was truly a terrible thing to find in your cream sauce. I was hoping to come again since the atmosphere was so lovely, but unfortunately I am scarred for life.

We came here based on all the great reviews. Unfortunately we did not have the 5 star experience. The ambience was great and our water boy was the only one who was engaging and friendly. He was the only one to check on us throughout dinner. Our server seemed like he could care less about us, not even faking it. I asked about one of the sauces and he just read the description off the menu and then looked at me like I was an idiot. The food finally arrives and it was mediocre. Not much flavor even after adding cheese and chili flakes. We asked for bread($3) and it was cold and seemed like day old bread. So many reviews raving about the great service. If you are looking for an authentic Italian place this is the place to go. Love the interior and the views from the restaurant. The food was really good too. Hosts and the waiter were very nice and welcoming. Can't wait to go back here again.

Who knew there was waterfront in San Marcos?! Great ambience, we were seated inside of the glass but with a nice view of the water. It's pretty noisy inside with the tile floor and it gets busy on weekends at dinner. Service is fine if a little slow when it gets really packed. The food is kinda bland - pasta is al dente. I really like that they have a large menu, and there are vegan and gluten free options clearly marked. Be careful with the secret upcharges when they offer you choices. When the waiter asks you your preference for water, the choices are 'sparkling' or 'still'. But 'still' means imported bottled water. The option we wanted was filtered tap water. The menu says bread is $3 but they'll ask if you want the focaccia option which is actually $9 not $3. It could be seen as predatory.

Tastefully decorated restaurant with lovely views of Lake San Marcos. We were a group of 8 on a Thursday evening for dinner. Service was attentive and informative, with a sense of humor. The food was delicious - we shared two orders of fried calamari, which was enough for all and served fresh out of the fryer. The spinach ravioli with burrata was rich with a buttery sauce and flavorful. The limoncello dessert was light and refreshing while the chocolate dessert is rich and decadent. Great food and service!

We love coming to Amalfi! Highly recommend making a reservation especially for dinner. Busy nights they offer valet parking. They always use high quality ingredients and everything is cooked to perfection. The cacio e pepe is amazing. I also love the rotating specials - usually get one with scallops if they have one. Amazing wine list and cocktails. Make sure to save room for dessert! The lava cake will please everyone at the table and they also have more traditional Italian desserts. There is one with chocolate and hazelnuts that we will never forget. Most tables have a view of the lake. The decor is beautiful and there are comfortable chairs at the tables. The staff are happy to make recommendations and nail attentiveness while never making us feel rushed!

I would give five stars for their resturant because I tried their fettuccine, salad, and white wine and it was delicious! Our server made sure to bring everything out in a timely manner and me and my wife enjoyed it for our three year anniversary. Reason why I am giving three stars is because poor parking experience. I noticed they had valet which was good for me and my wife since we couldn't find parking, however the valet tall white boy employee was very standoffish. We tried to talk to him to start a conversation and he didn't seem interested; looked more intrigued for my keys. Was going to tip him well since he looked like a young college student but that experience wasn't pleasurable, only gave him a few bucks. Walked out to him talking to his coworker without acknowledging me. Will love to try again since he was maybe having a bad day! Lots of love.

First. The views on the lake are amazing and the marina bar hopping.Next, had some amazing fish tacos & fish and chips. Crispy and not oily, & large portions Washed them down with a great mojito.And what made the afternoon was Colton and his fabulous service, anticipation of what and when was needed. So polite and fast response.They really hit all the areas needed for a great time out of the ballpark.We traveled 6,150 miles and weren't disappointed.Thank you Colton & Amalfi.Hoping to return soon
