Looking to enjoy some fine wines without making a trip to the Eastside? Wish granted! You can come on into Aluel for some nice tastings and light bites that can serve as decent palate cleansers as well.Right on Market yet tucked away with other storefronts is Aluel. I've walked by it many times only to realize 'wow there is a wine room right here!'After meeting a friend here, I settled on one the flights I tasted the - Aluel Signature Flight - '19 Sparkling, '18 Malbec, '18 Regalia, '17 Coat of Arms. my favorite being the Malbec and Coat of arms, which is a red blend and an award winner, along with many of the others on their menu. For bites we got the - pita and hummus plate which just alright at $9. Perhaps we should've sprang for the cheese plate for a bit more at $15.Aluel is a nice place to sample some wines right in the middle of a neighborhood without need to go far. Check it out!

This is a cute little wine tasting room right on Market st in Ballard. Luckily it is also not far from where I live so I am able to walk over here. Came here recently to meet a relative staying in Seattle for a while. It was surprisingly busy on a weeknight evening. We all went with wine flights and when you order a flight you also get $5 off a bottle! The host was very friendly and they are helpful in explaining the different types of wines. We did get a small hummus plate to snack on, which was good but somewhat expensive for just hummus and crackers.Anyways I would be happy to come here again for just some wine! Loved all the wines I tried here.

Swore I wrote a review before from my visit in August. My friend and fellow Yelper Torrie N and I checked out this new tasting room in Ballard. I had just been to a tasting the day before and the experience was so much more fun and informative here. Co-owner Alex Oh was doing pours and is the sweetest, so welcoming makes you feel right at home. When I saw the logo I realized I had been to the Capitol Hill space for a group event. This was so much nicer to have an intimate conversation with Alex about their wines. While we were there we found out they had been broken into recently. If you're in the neighborhood pay them a visit and show them some love. With all the breweries in our neighborhood it is refreshing to have a place to go to for wine tasting. Flash forward to Halloween a neighbor friend of and I have been taking walks and discovering local businesses. I wanted her to check out this place. Happy to report she loved it as much as i did. Both Owners Alex and Samuel happen to be there in costume handing out candy to neighborhood kids. It was nice to chat with them as we did one of the flights and noshed on a few of the food offerings. We're looking forward to bringing more friends to visit.

Love the new Ballard tasting room as someone who was introduced to Aluel by virtue of walking past their original location in Capitol Hill. The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. Samuel and Alex will often be hanging out and are very engaging and happy to chat with you about all things wine!

I love Aluel Cellar's new tasting room on the ground floor of the Hjarta Condominium in Ballard. The owners and other staff are very friendly and customer oriented and the wines are delicious! I'm told I'm the first person who lives in Hjarta Condominium to join the wine club and I'm honored to hold that position

They had a small selection of wines by the glass to choose from, which I liked, as I feel overwhelmed by pages of options that you often get with wine lists. I liked the buttery Chardonnay I tried a lot! They also have NA drinks available such as the Izzie sparkling waters. The descriptions of the wine on the menu were also helpful and the staff were also very helpful and kind. They were super attentive to everyone in the group as I was there for a Silent Book Club event. I did wish they had a few more food options or substantive snacks but the options they had were nice and including a range of dietary needs (I.e., vegetarian, gluten free, nut free). The ambiance was really really nice for sipping a class of wine and reading or chatting and it was very cozy and modern.

This place is a perfect balance of sleek warmth and finesse without being pretentious -- a much needed addition to this particular section of Ballard. The wines are uniformly wonderful and their membership program is great. A special mention for Laurel, who was not only a great server the other night (she strikes the perfect note of attentive without hovering), she also handled an awkward situation with a misbehaving individual with grace.
