Al's Hot Chicken

This was not the place for us.First, not being able to substitute drinks in a fast food place is odd. I decided to go with it get a milkshake anyways. Would not recommend. Its just like half frozen milk. The seasoning in the fries and chicken was just off, and I can't even describe what it was. It had heat, but lacked flavor. The sauces to me also did not have flavor. The fries were decent, they're just normal crinkle cut with extra seasoning (the same seasoning I think.)But, it's the first to be here in this area. I won't be returning, but I can't see the appeal of why people like it. It probably could not withstand decent competition.

Food was delicious! I would recommend people try it! Sandwich was great, coleslaw tastyyyyy! Fries with sauce is bomb! I got my food delivered from my kids so I can't rate service and ambiance. Strictly rating off of taste and flavor!

Only ever been here for takeout, never dining in, but when we've gotten take out it's been great. My favorite thing to get here is the loaded fries, the chicken is delicious and I love that you can specify how spicy you want the chicken itself. I'm super picky about gross chicken pieces and I haven't actually gotten any gross pieces at all, the chicken is always exactly what you want it to be. My husband gets the chicken tenders typically, and it's great that you can order different spicy per tender not just per meal, sometimes he wants to get different kinds and this makes it super easy. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something different than your regular fast food chicken places!

So delicious! Service was quick. Clean place with lots of seating and a drive through available. We got the mild sandwich's. We will be coming back again! Yum.

Delicious and MUCH better than any other gross chicken shacks in the area!! Especially ones that bash on others and don't show etiquette when handling themselves! Yes you know who I'm talking about!!

Sooo, this was where my husband took me for a lunch date:/ it's not exactly the most romantic setting, so please don't do that. As we sat there for about 99 minutes, people kept coming in for their chicken sandwich...and all these people were men. Not once did I see a female customer...only me, whose was lured there on a date. My point is that the menu speaks to men. So ladies, maybe if you want to impress your man, Al's Hot Chicken may be a great way! Now the food, the portions of chicken are decent and the fries are crispy. There are no frills or swag at Al's, just chicken.

Boy. Where do I begin. I've been hesitant to try Al's because of the mixed reviews on social media. Me and my bf went and we waited in line for about 20min and had to pull off to the side to wait for our food. That's fine it's busy who cares. When we got home our order was wrong. They gave us 3 sandwiches, we ordered tenders and a sandwich and sauces which weren't in the bag. Strike 1. But it's okay let's see what it's hitting for. Disclaimer: I wasn't sure if the order was a spicy flavor or not but I originally ordered mild because I'm slightly hungover so didn't want my stomach in further shambles. I took one bite and was NOT impressed. The chicken had no flavor. The fries were dry and over cooked and lacked salt. My biggest complaint is the fact that they basically throw an abnormally large or weird shaped tender and throw it between a bun. I ended up just eating it as a tender. I had to add salt to my fries and franks to my chicken. Their social media and website pics def don't match what you're getting. They do have good deals tho and value for the meal you get. I'll give them that. I see the potential, but they need to beat that chicken breast down with a mallet before cooking it and tryna put it between two buns.

We ate in. Ordering was a challenge as the self service kiosk was not as user friendly as you would want and when completed the card reader was not functioning and we had to wait for a human. Meanwhile I noticed an employee sitting/leaning on a food prep surface. Food arrived hot and ready. Ordered a #1 and a 2 waffle and chicken. Both orders were well made, tasted and looked good. Waffles have small bits of sugar in them and are really tasty. Chicken can be ordered according to heat preference. The slaw here is actually worth ordering. So started off poorly and improved. I'm not sure the owners have a real handle on their target market. Music was a bit too loud and didn't match the folks coming in the door. First. The chicken was small like a chicken strip or a big chicken nugget that was heavily seasoned with whatever they used that made the chicken look dark red and caked on like it was dipped in smoked paprika?? I ate it because I think I paid way too much for that so I forced myself to eat it. After a couple more bites I couldn't force myself to eat that anymore. Second. I think the waffles tasted like a cake donut. Dry. Too sweet. The service was ok. I guess they do the best they can. It's a fast food restaurant. The ambiance was meh. The kitchen needs more attention to cleanliness in my opinion. I only went there because their rival was already closed and I wanted chicken and waffles, so I took a chance. Al's ..Never Again.

This is the 3rd time I gave them a try and it gets worst every time. Today they gave me chicken that wasn't hot, they forgot my drink they didn't give me any napkins and the chicken pieces get smaller and smaller every time. Definitely not worth the price we paid 4 small pieces of chicken. Safeway spicy chicken tenders taste better than this. Customer service was horrible she gave me my food and shut the window so quick I even tried to honk to get my drink. The reason why I didn't just go inside was cause my baby was sleeping in the car
