We came as the restaurant opened - no wait! It's a chose your own adventure sort of place - fortunately my brother-in-law is a frequent flyer here so he ordered for us. Golden chicken collagen and Chong Qing mild (yes I am a little too wimpy for medium haha).

I tried the Hawaiian Grilled BBQ Chicken Plate. The grilled BBQ chicken was a little too salty for me. The potato mac salad had a unique flavor. I'm not sure why an additional mixed green salad is included. I did enjoy the guava drink which brought me back to my childhood growing up in Hawaii. The host/server was friendly and polite. The decor has somewhat of a tropical vibe. Being that this is a Hawaiian, Filipino, and Mexican restaurant, it's tough to have that visual balance. For now, I'm giving Aloha Wagon 3 stars which is fair. My next visit will be for the Spam Musubi. A simple comfort food that has to be done right! Can't wait to try it!

I just moved and this place is relatively close to my new apartment. I was excited to try Hawaiian food in Chicago so made my way to it. They may have noticed my new-ness, so they provided some advice which was really appreciated as the selections were delicious. The juice/tea they had serving was also perfect for a summer drink. It was fruity, and refreshing, and not too sweet. I forgot to ask what it was called but I loved it.It was an ideal lunch place for me. Can't wait to return!

This has been my go to spot since the blue and yellow storefront on Western. There is one cook and he cooks based on family recipes. Everything is a hit. The portions are huge and heavy. I sometimes think that he's used to cooking for Samoans or NFL players or something. I recommend anything on the menu and throw an egg on it over easy!

I would never guess a place like Aloha Wagon would be in Pilsen but here we are. It's Filipino owned and run, and this brings me back to the island from the exterior and when you enter the front door.Get the chicken adobo. It was my favorite! So flavorful and so much to eat! Comes with rice, greens, and Mac salad. You'll find other Hawaiian comfort foods like loco moco and spam on the menu whether you get a plate, sandwich, salad, or even a taco! They also offer Kona coffee and some tropical drinks which are a nice boost to your day. Aloha Wagon is the type of place you come back to as a regular because it's the right balance of tasty, value, and friendliness.

We had takeout from this place. So much food for our order. Decent food as well. They have a range of Hawaiian food. We all enjoyed it. We were able to make 2 meals out of one entree! Since we had take out there is no comment on how it was if we ate there.

Came here on a whim after reading all of the good reviews and boy was I blown away!! It's a small restaurant with very limited seating (there's maybe 3 tables along with barstool seats at the window). You order at the counter and there's a menu on the wall you can order off of. We ended up ordering a mixed plate where you can pick two different types of meats. We shared spam and the Hawaiian grilled BBQ chicken. Both were sooo delicious!! I think I liked the spam a little better but overall both were so tasty that I even contemplated ordering an extra plate to go home with. We ordered two different drinks. I can't remember the exact names of them but one of them had ginger and turmeric in it which we weren't a huge fan of but the other juice had guava and other tropical fruits and was so tasty. Overall highly recommend coming here! We'll definitely be back

Really glad to try this place out! Saw it on Instagram and figured I would check it out with my brother and SIL. We swung by around 1pm on a Saturday and it was absolutely packed with pretty limited seating. Lucked out and a table was eventually open for us to sit down, but definitely would consider just doing takeout if you don't live too far away.I opted to get the mixed plate with chicken katsu and chicken adobo. Also got the sunset drink which was guava/lychee/lime to sip on while I was waiting. Total for the mixed plate and drink was about $20.The sunset drink was great. Super refreshing and not overly sweet. Would definitely recommend. Food took a little bit to come out, but understandable for how busy it was. The food itself was very impressive! The chicken katsu was nice and crispy while remaining juicy and the chicken adobo was super flavorful with a good balance of of sour from the vinegar and saltiness from the soy sauce. They sauce they also have at the counter is pretty good. Nice with a little bit of spice! Also the macaroni potato salad and greens that come with your order is also nice to break things up. My brother and SIL also got mixed plates and got meats like the kalua pork which I thought was a bit dry and the tocinio which is apparently only around for this month but I found pretty yummy, too. Still think the katsu and chicken adobo were the best meats we tried.Only two minor nitpicks is I do wish there was just a bit more rice with my order because the sauce from the adobe was definitely delicious and some more rice to mop that all up would've hit. On the other side though, my brother ordered the spam musubi and I found that to be a bit too rice-heavy. All-in-all, great spot and definitely something I want to come back to again. Items like the loco moco are definitely on my radar and I can't wait for my next visit!

They definitely don't have too much good quality Hawaiian food in Illinois. First time I tried this place I had to get take out because seating was limited inside and not too many parking spaces. Food is delicious. We did two of the mixed plates so we got to try grilled tofu, Hawaiian grilled bbq chicken, lime chicken, and chicken katsu. The meat was all very moist and juicy. Tofu was well seasoned. It's all to pick a favorite since they cooked the food so well. Prices are fair. Service was wonderful.

If you're looking for Hawaiian island food that hits your soul, this is the place for you. Everything is made to order on the grill and every bite will leave you wanting for more. The burger sandwich was fantastic. The beef patty was marinated in teriyaki to perfection and the grilled pineapples on top just brought out the flavor combo in a spectacular way along with the Hawaiian butter buns. Small shop vibes with about 5 tables and easy parking on a Saturday morning around the corner. Call ahead to place the order if you don't want to wait.
