You can see the hair on the top right corner in between the chicken. I had just the box fresh too so it didn't just fall on top.

Decent but nothing to rave about is what comes to mind when I think of my experience with the food at Aloha grill. The colorful sign we pass so many times on the road always makes us wonder if we have tried it before and while we have only tried the food a couple times it proves just that - ordinary flavors, ordinary food. We've taken out both times but I don't think I'd opt to eat here again anytime soon unfortunately as there are better Hawaiian food options in the area. We ordered katsu and loco moco for reference but I'm better off making it at home.

I'm from Cali and we have wonder poly food. This was my first time here and wanted some poly food and this is not the place. The food I order was Beach Boy plate and we order the garlic chicken. Both dish's were not great. The rice served over cooked watery and the meat was dry on the beach boy plate. I was so disappointed.

Fantastic service and ambiance. Food is delicious, freshly made and full of flavor. We ordered the spam and eggs with rice, Mac salad, spam musubi and haupia cake. Everything was devoured.

Rating is purely based on my taste buds. The customer service at this place was great. So I was pretty bummed that I didn't like it.I ordered the garlic chicken with white rice and macaroni salad and it was not what I expected. I thought the flavor of the Mac salad was just ok. The rice was fine but the chicken was not my cup of tea. I couldn't get with the look and the garlic sauce flavor. Who knows though, you might like it. Try it for yourself.

Yummy, no frills place. I've eaten here a few times and got the chicken katsu each time. Everything made well and tasty. It's a cute mom and pop shop with plenty of parking. Perfect for dine in or take out!

You ever find "YOUR Place"? You know, that one place where they make the food sooo good that it becomes the one and only place that you will go for that particular type of food? This was it! This was my go-to Hawaiian food joint. In all of Washington state, I would make a point to drive all the way here to get my island food fix. Unfortunately, they sold the business and instead of changing the name and making it their own, the new owners kept the name. They kept the decor. Everything is nearly exactly as it was before except the food! This place used to be owned by a very nice caucasian gentleman who lived in Hawaii for years. He honored their traditions and loved the food so much that he perfected his methods and cooked it with his heart. Just like a hermit crab that takes over the old shells of past inhabitants, so too has the new owner of Aloha Grill moved in to an empty shell of what was. They've added all kinds of Japanese options as if this were some teriyaki restaurant and they started basically phoning in the hawaiian food. I'm very sad to say that this is no longer my favorite hawaiian restaurant. It's no longer even on my list of places that I will return. When L&L is a better choice, you know things will never be the same. Whatever the original owner is doing these days, I wish him the best. Hopefully he is oblivious as to what has happened to his legacy.

Needed a quick meal (and as always, I am craving for some Hawaiian food) Being new here in Seattle, I'm still looking for some go-to spots, and Aloha Grill will probably be on my list right away. They also have very accommodating people - definitely the Aloha vibe

Aloha to good Hawaiian food in the Renton area! This place has got all the classic Hawaiian comfort foods at a reasonable price. I tried the mochiko chicken but I'd like to come back and try all the other items on the menu.FoodMochiko chicken is one of my favorite ways of eating chicken and I always get it to gauge a Hawaiian restaurant. The chicken was juicy and in the perfect bite size. The outside was just a bit crispy, but personally I like it super crispy. I really liked the Mac salad though because it was not smothered in sauce and had good flavor to it still. There's a nice sauce area where you can put on as much other sauces like spicy mayo. AtmosphereCasual and laid back. There's some nice wall art of the Hawaiian islands and there's also outdoor seating for when it gets warmer outside. PricingReasonable and cheap prices for Hawaiian food compared to other restaurants that serve Hawaiian food. Service Self service here so you'll have to bus your own tables, get your own water, and silverware. The staff here is super friendly and checked in on me halfway thru eating even. I didn't expect it but it was nice. OtherPlenty of parking in front of this strip mall and is shared with other restaurants. And it's nearby IKEA too!

First time trying this place and it was not bad for Hawaiian food. Ordered the lau lau combo, saimin and the kalbi. We had lau lau from another Hawaiian restaurant nearby and it was full of fat that I couldn't even enjoy it so I was happy to see that this was filled with meat but honestly wish there was just a tad bit fat in there to soften up the taro more. It was also pretty salty so I just had to load up on the rice with each bite. We probably wouldn't order the kalbi again. It was lacking flavor and prefer to make it at home. We also prefer our Mac salad to be more coated. Overall I'd give it a 3.75/5. I think the Korean owned Hawaiian spot just a few blocks down might be better but I was craving lau lau so I decided to try it out.

Traveling for work, I like to try new places...... I found Aloha Grill on my last trip and could not wait to return. I like this place so much I visited 2 times during my 3 day work trip. Monday got the hamburger steak and onions and on Wednesday Curry shrimp and musibi. Everything thing I have ordered from here has been a good sized portion, priced right and done fresh.I look forward to my next trip to return to Aloha Grill.Thank you for great service and great food- ALOHA!
