Alice's Bar-B-Que

Ok, so I stumbled across this spot and decided to check it out and I'm glad I did!I got the tip and link combo and the tips are well seasoned and smoky good!The link had the right amount of heat without being too hot ... I wish more than 1 link came with the combo. I ain't complaining because the amount of tips was good and they were meaty.I also got the turkey leg but with the amount of food I got, I had to save that for later, LOL!The best part ... no long lines or long wait!My new go-to for BBQ!

Lately, been leaning away from the chicken. I'd say the mini tip is still the star. I assume it is aquarium bbq since it develops a crispy char (but delicately handled so that it doesn't go to just plain burnt). I got a good mix of perfect tender pieces (thicker) and the thinner ones are slightly drier. (but that's what happens with tips that are unevenly thick). Prices ticked up a little to $11.99 for a mini tip. Service has been as friendly as it could be with the divider in between (can't blame them).

I recently ordered from Alice's BBQ and while the food was flavorful, my overall experience was mixed. Firstly, despite specifying in my order comments, my meal arrived completely dry without any sauce. This was disappointing and took away from the enjoyment of the meal. However, I was fortunate enough to have my own sauce to add. It would greatly improve the customer experience if Alice's BBQ offered sauce on the side or made it clearer how to customize orders.Additionally, the wings I ordered still had feathers fried onto them, which was quite unappetizing. On the other hand, the rib tips were perfectly cut and cooked, demonstrating the potential of the kitchen.Another downside was the wait time. My order took an hour to be completed, which felt excessively long, especially for a takeout order. While I understand that good food takes time, an hour for a simple order was a bit much.In summary, Alice's BBQ has the potential to be a great BBQ spot, as the food was tasty. However, they need to improve on reading order instructions, offering sauce options, and reducing wait times to enhance the overall dining experience."

You can Smell the delicious BBQ from the streets as I park for parking. Ordered the ribs tips and cheese burger. A nice lady took my order didn't quite catch her name it was pretty busy. The Vibe was a quick in & out spot. It was about 4 people ahead of me but the line moved quickly. Took about 20mins for my order to be ready. Timing was perfect, leaving the beach Alice's bbq was on the way home, could not have been a better time.

I've seen and smelled this place a few times,while on the South side. Just a few blocks from my Brothers house.. First,they won't take online orders. They will not take phone orders either!! This little sassy,pretty old lady takes care of business! Though,she needs some customer service training and a better way to communicate with customers. I don't like sticking my head in a window and shouting my order. While not being able to completely relax. This ain't little house on the prairie! This is the south side of Chicago. Now. The food is good. Skimpy on sauce! At $25.35 for a Tip Link Combo is reasonable if the portion size is good. This is not the case at this place!!! 1 sausage and tips is unreasonable for the price!! I will not purchase anything from this place again!!

Big let down! I was out of town for Memorial Day and I didn't get any BBQ so I went here. Hardly any sauce and the meat could not stand on its own. As always, the service is sub par, no hello or smiles. It's like ordering from the Soup Nazi except the food doesn't live up to the grief. Ambiance! There's none of that, not even a place to sit. Do Better Alice!

The lady at the register is rude beyond measure! It's a shame how us as black consumers are treated with such ill mannered attitude and brazenness! I wish we could do better! Yes the food is good but this lady deserves a good ole tongue lashing and attitude adjustment! But I guess I'll settle for a bad review because I respect my elders! Owners of Alice's please do better! You all feed the whole low end of chicago! The least you can do; is hire someone who respects your customers! I even mentioned it to the lady and she just ignored me. But it's cool I will pray for you all! Mind you this is a Tuesday when the business is slow! So it isn't jammed packed like the weekend; so she can't use the excuse that's it's busy and she's overwhelmed for the reason of her being rude to me!

Service was fast food was fresh and hot! Lobby was not full I was able to order and get my food within 5min

Greetings to all .I'm a regular customer who usually don't complain however the lady who takes the orders.....mean @ rude other customers complain likewise.. I spend big there and should be treated fairly. I always give respect my up bringing anyhow when you in your 50s...just certain things you don't tolerate and disrespect is one !! I'm gonna have to find another barbue place...hopefully the manger resolve.....HER attitude is unacceptable....food is always ok just be prepare to deal with the witch who don't know how to separate her personal issues .....@ job customer service ...needs to be re train...Whatever it is I pray GOD gives her peace ....
