Reviews based on takeout only:Absolutely DELISH! We've ordered takeout from here several times now and every single time it's been so dang good! So far we've had: Guac: delish. Don't miss it Chips and salsa: I want to drink the salsa. It's so good. Carne Asada: delish, tender, flavorful, ample serving!Enchiladas verde: so saucy and zingy and delish Chipotle shrimp tacos: spicy just how we like them!We have to go in sometime and try the cheese sauce!

Cozy, vibrant Mexican spot! We got the birria tacos and enchilada, they both tasted amazing. I felt like my rice and beans were a bit underwhelming but overall the meal was still satisfying! The employees are so nice and were able to attend to us well despite being busy!

I REALLY wanted to like this place since it's nearby and really cute. The service was great, and the decor is fun, with alebrijes everywhere. I liked that the menu is fairly straightforward, without an overwhelming number of options. I would recommend the tamarind margarita! While all the food was fine, I was sadly not impressed. We ordered the baked queso, carne asada, and 2 tacos with pork (carnitas). I should've asked how the pork was prepared because I was hoping for al pastor (my fault for not asking), but it was cooked well and not dry. All the flavors were very muted, which is the primary reason for my rating.

Amazing food. First time there. Great menu.Great service. Nice atmosphere. Very busy in a Sunday evening. High praise for the mole. It is very hard to find good mole. The Quinones was superb. Will go again for sure.

We stopped by on Wednesday around 5 pm and there were people already waiting for it to open. It has a homely and colorful vibe. They offered chips and green salsa, which was delicious. I really like the Birria tacos I ordered. It was not on the regular menu, it was on the special menu. My boyfriend got the pork enchilada which was pretty good too. The service was pretty fast.

I loved alebrijes! It's probably our favorite Mexican restaurant we've been to so far in Seattle. It's fun inside, and the food is great! We got the house margarita and strawberry margarita both of which were good! I couldn't taste the tequila at all in the strawberry one, and they put a ton of strawberry in it. We got the queso with chorizo which we loved. It comes with four warm tortillas. I would recommend saving some of the chips for the queso too! I got the enchiladas verdes with pork, and my partner got the Birria taco special. Both were super flavorful, and the meat was really tender in both! The portions were enormous. I definitely only ate 1/3 of my enchiladas, which just means I get to eat more of this delicious food later! Don't forget to check out the specials written on a chalkboard above the kitchen!

Alebrijes was such a cute atmosphere and the food hit the spot!! The chips and green sauce they brought out to start were light and delicious!! I had the rojos enchiladas with chicken and they were amazing!! The sauce had a sort of cinnamon undertone which I didn't expect but added such a depth of flavor. The potatoes and beans complimented my dish perfectly. The service was great and our waitress was super attentive and helpful! I will definitely be back!

Seriously the best Mexican food I've had in Seattle in a while! Was so excited to try this place after seeing so much hype online, and honestly it lived up to my expectations! The house margarita was one of the best cocktails I've ever tried, the pomegranate really took it to the next level. For my entree, I got the chicken enchiladas which were amazing, I've never had potatoes as a side at all Mexican restaurant and I loved the texture they added to the dish. My friends got the shrimp and pork tacos which they said lacked a little flavor. The service was great and the decor was so cute! I'll definitely be back again soon!

Cozy Mexican Spot: Where Flan is King and Salsa ReignsStumbled upon this cozy Mexican joint in Seattle, complete with a fireplace that makes you feel right at home. The place is run by chefs who've clearly been perfecting their craft for ages. The food? Solid Mexican goodness. Nothing too fancy, but when you nail the classics this well, who needs the extras? Now, let's talk game-changers: the flan and the salsa. The flan is out of this world--soft, melt-in-your-mouth, with this cool coconut oil vibe that had me scraping the plate clean. And I was already full, mind you. Best flan I've ever had, hands down. The salsa is another hero. Unique and packed with flavor, it's not your run-of-the-mill dip. It's these touches that make the place stand out. Good vibes, good service, and while the meal itself was great, the flan and salsa took it to the next level. If you're around Seattle, hit this spot up. The vibe is chill, the food hits the spot, and seriously, don't even think about skipping the flan or the salsa.

HIRE A BARTENDERFood is 9/10, been several times, but there is a huge issue with the service because they have one server for the whole restaurant who also makes all the drinks. Last night we waited 30 minutes just to get our margaritas. Couldn't get our order in when we wanted, and was never checked on when food arrived. Had to flag down a bus boy to pay our bill as we were waiting 20 minutes just to pay.I would have ordered several more drinks, never even had the chance to order them, and they take 30 minutes as the only server is making the drinks for the entire restaurant.Ownership needs to take into account experience and have someone else making drinks, or get a second server. One food gripe is it's obvious they switch to Kirkland signature Costco chips when they are running low on their own. Very lame, chips are easy to make. Costco's dry chips are not a great experience, last night it was a mix of theirs and Costco's, strange.Might be a takeout only place if they don't hire more staffing, or only go when it's empty.
