I like Zendo but I don't frequent it because they tend to stay busy and seating is sometimes hard to find. It is a cool space though and I love coming for Art Walk when they do things. They tend to have a really great selection of pastries and I like their menu offerings including their more unique drinks like the Sweet Bonnie which is one of my favorite options. It is a tea based latte with like a vanilla citrus flavor to it.

I was reading some good feedback about this place online so decided to give it a try. My first impression was mostly about the line at Zendo being so long, which I felt was a mixed blessing because it probably meant the food and drinks were going to be good. By the time it was my turn to order I noticed the whole time I was in line that people were buying up the desserts I wanted, but they weren't prepared for the crowd and didn't have replacement items ready. So once it was my turn, I was out of luck haha. The coffee here was very creative and pretty good, they even had Turkish coffee ice cubes! Never heard of something like that until I had it here. The coffee was great, I enjoyed it very much and I think if I lived across the street I would alternate between this and Starbucks every other time.

I stopped in Zendo after a long two mile walk across different Albuquerque neighborhoods. The coffeeshop was super cute and bright with lots of tables (both community tables to share and more private tables) and a large counter. After perusing the menu (does anyone else feel a lot of pressure to make a decision quickly when entering a new coffeeshop, even though they have like a bajillion drinks?)--I decided on the Turkish latte. Why? Well, I've been to Turkey and enjoy Turkish coffee, so I figured a Turkish latte could be fun. The drink itself was fine--it was a little too sweet for my liking and it had a cardomon flavor. I enjoyed it, but it more or less reinforced that I'm more of a plain black coffee type of drinker with a love of plain espressos. I do like a good Turkish coffee too! Either way, Zendo has a plethora of options, drinks, and flavors. The back patio comes out to a brewery and overall I thought the space was really cool and interesting. I'd definitely suggest checking it out!

Came by on a Monday afternoon and it was quite busy. Lots of people sitting down with their laptops and working, and there was a steady flow of people walking in ordering. Service was quick and friendly at the register and seems like one of the more trendy coffee shops in the area.

What better way to host an art gallery then to serve excellent coffee and encourage people to hang out and work? That's what I thought when Zendo first opened years ago. This remains true today.Zendo is probably the hippest/mod/au courant/smart coffeehouse in the area. Their coffee is solid. They buy it from local roaster Odacrem, who buys from an international collection of coffee farms. Then they roast it.Zendo is the model coffeehouse that newer local coffeehouses have based their asethete on. I love their various coffee concoctions, including their Aztec Latte, Turkish Latte, and Cortado. They currently buy their burritos from Three Sisters Kitchen. Coffee may be the first thing people think of when they think of Zendo. But their casual gallery is a perfect excuse when thinking of places to meet for coffee. They are discerning when they select artists to exhibit their art.Zendo is a great place to work with their long communal benches and outdoor patio.

First coffee of the day and I'm here at Zendo. Awesome to see a cortado on the menu. That's my cue to see if it's a real coffee shop with baristas or just folks who press buttons on a machine. This is definitely the former. My cortado was perfection. Half steamed milk and half espresso in a short glass. Rich coffee, plenty of caffeine without 16 ounces of milk. Ideal. On a Sunday morning at 7:32 am, Zendo was busy enough that my first spot to sit didn't have power. But after a bit, another customer went elsewhere and I was able to plug in my laptop and phone.Five star worthy. I'd love to return to Zendo.[Review 21078 overall - 125 in New Mexico - 41 of 2024.]

This is a quaintly cool coffee shop and local art makes great decor to peruse while waiting for your order. The coffee was strong - just how we like it - and the service was fast and friendly. Just don't ask for a "plastic" spoon. ;)~

I decided to try out Zendo before leaving town on my road trip to Vegas and I'm so glad I did!The latte that I had here was probably the best latte I have ever had in my life! Kid you not!I ordered just a regular latte with coconut milk, extra hot and it was perfect! No additional sweetener needed and the strength of the espresso in the latte was well balanced. Not too strong or too weak. I also ordered a Zia dark chocolate latte with regular milk and my husband really liked it!Then I ordered a green burrito and a red burrito and those were also probably one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Unfortunately they swapped the labels by accident and I ended up eating a bit of the red burrito which was way too spicy for me but still pretty delicious.Overall, this is definitely a true five star coffee joint food-wise but customer service could definitely use some improvement especially with 3 people working the counter. If I'm ever in town again, I will definitely be making my way to Zendo again. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend that you do. Your tastebuds will thank you!
