We got great Greek food at Yamas, and go back whenever we're in Santa Fe. It's not fancy, but the staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is authentic Greek. Go for it! You won't regret a bite of it!

We LOVE Mediterranean food! The gyro and chicken gyro were VERY good...love the garlic! The side salad was not quite dressed enough for us, the falafel was very good too! Not my favorite hummus but it was good, the pita warm and fluffy. The service was excellent, but don't buy water- they give you a pitcher of it. The building is very nicely decorated and hd a very good vibe. I would recommend a stop here if you're looking for fresh Mediterranean.

We were disappointed with our lunch at Yamas. My lamb souvlaki ($16.95) was flavorful, but the grilled meat was tough and dry. My partner's 'meat' moussaka ($13.95) had large pieces of potato that were barely cooked. On the positive side, the red pepper hummus with pita was great. Even though Yamas is a casual (place your oder at the counter), the prices for entrees are pretty high. The wait time for our lunch was too long.Friendly service at the front counter.

OVERALLYamas Green Rotisserie was a nice alternative to the usual offerings in Santa Fe, NM. Plus it's located on the ever-popular Cerrillos Road.RATING BREAKDOWNFood: 4 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4 PARKINGThere was free parking to one side of the building. A bit more spaces were around back plus there was a drive-thru.LOCATION/AMBIANCERight away I noticed the white and blue paint of the building on the outside. I walked in and the register was vacant, so I used the single women's restroom which was mostly clean. When I returned to get my order, I noticed the plethora of seating arrangements and a clean dining room.THE GRUB+ Aleppo Shrimp Sandwich ($11.95) - I opted to add traditional Tzatziki to it. I'd order this again, but I'm tempted to try their lamb.- Revani ($5) - this is a cake piece best described as "Semolina cake baked with almond, orange, rosewater, with pistachio crumble on top." Don't get me wrong, this was very good, but extremely sweet, dense, and it fell apart while I tried to pick it up as I wasn't provided any utensil. I'd try an alternative next time.+ Uludag Orange Soda (Made in Turkey) $3 - I liked it because it wasn't too sweet and was smaller than an American soda.LITTLE YELPER'S CLUBI didn't have my kids in tow, so I didn't notice a kid's menu.SERVICEI walked in for a takeout order right at when I scheduled it to be ready. They brought it right over. Plus the nice young man let me choose a can or a bottled soda. I chose the bottle!MY FAVORITE PART...The sandwich was huge & filling.NOT SO FAVORITE PART...How sweet that cake was.TIPOrder online for pick up - Apple pay is accepted!

I came to Yamas for a quick bite before heading over to Meow Wolf and I found it to be very good. They have a large menu filled with lots of favorites including gyro and such. They offer up a good amount of sauces and variety to the menu. They also had some solid drink options, I just went with a bottle of lemonade though. The gyro was really great and definitely something I would order again. Service was fast and friendly, prices were fair. They get some great natural light which can be a blessing or a curse if the sun is shining right at you while you're eating. They are located directly off one of the main roads, in the same parking lot as a motel. The parking lot is terrible, I might suggest just parking on the street and walking.

The food here is excellent. I am from the San Francisco Bay area and have been to many Greek places but this place out-rates them all. The owner is super friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Have you ever been in a culinary rut? You have a hankering for something, but have no idea what that something is. Go here!I love fish, so I tried the tilapia, which came with a small Greek salad, and a side dish. I chose zucchini fries. My daughter ordered the lamb kebabs with a side of hummus and small Greek salad. OMG. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Fresh ingredients. The lemon and capers over the tilapia... not ashamed to say some of that pita soaked up those drippings. We went in the late afternoon, just before dinner service, so we had the place to ourselves. It's cute, clean, and the staff was helpful and very friendly. Service was prompt and portions were ample. We ordered another kebab plate to go. ; )

This is a very nice family-owned and run Greek restaurant. The service is great - they're always happy to see you. The food is always fresh and they have a large menu. My guy likes the gyro plate and I tend to get the pulled chicken plate. The tzatziki is excellent.

By far THE best Greek cuisine we've ever had! Authentic recipes and family run. Located in a small well worn looking building on the outside, inside is clean and the brothers who run the place are super nice. My husband ordered the half rotisserie chicken that comes with a small Greek salad and his side of choice was red pepper hummus. The chicken was fall off the bone tender and juicy. The hummus was obviously house made and just as wonderful as the chicken. My order of Aleppo Shrimp also came with Greek salad and my side was Avgolemono soup. Succulent spicy shrimp and the soup was a perfect blend of lemon, rice, and seasoning! Our meals were for lunch, but this could easily be a fine dining evening dinner! Don't miss out on this jewel of a place!
