I found XRANM to have a cold institutional atmosphere rather than a friendly and considerate one. My prior imaging center had aquariums for patients to enjoy while waiting and offered spa services. XRANM's billing services also left me cold. If you have my experience, you will see that any co-payment you made by check has cleared your bank account but XRANM will not have posted the payment. Thus, you will receive automated phone calls asserting that your bill is outstanding. If a business has an accounting system sophisticated enough to make automated calls, that accounting system should be able to link receipt of payments to posting so that patients are spared erroneous phone calls.

What a scam. I came here to do my first ever mammogram which is supposed to be covered by my insurance as part of annual physical. I asked the front desk several times just to make sure and they assured me that I would not be charged. So I was surprised to get a bill several weeks later for over $400. As an unemployed person, I NEVER would have agreed to their service if they had told me what the cost was upfront. They are dishonest at their core and will steal your money with no shame. I will never get a mammogram again!

The need for diagnostic imaging is never s walk in the Park. I was scared, nervous about what might be wrong. I signed in, was given the normal clip board with paper work to fill out and then waited to be called. When I was called I was expected to be asked to pay my normal copay, instead I was asked for almost 500, the remainder of my yearly deductible. They were adamant regarding this payment. When I questioned it, I was shuffled to a side waiting room to talk to the office manager. She, tried her darnedest to get that amount from me knowing my co-pay was significantly less. I was in tears, stressed beyond words about what could be cancer and they were interested in collecting my total yearly deductible. All this being done in front of others. They made a huge concession for me to pay my measly 60 copay. The techs and doctors couldn't have been more gentle, caring people. Luckily, benign! However, will NEVER go back to this place after many years of service due to their horrible front office policies and treatment after springing those policies onme unexpectedly!

If the billing issues were not enough, their billing staff is rude and unable to say that they messed up. A good apology goes a long way. If you are a military spouse, stay clear.

I am beyond frustrated with the care (or lack thereof) I received at this the xranm breast center. Dr. Smith failed to provide clear explanations about my genetics and breast health concerns, which left me with unanswered questions and pushed me to seek a second opinion. Given Dr. Smith's dismissive approach and my strong interest in getting a breast reduction, the XRANM radiologist recommended I see another in the office, Dr. Hill, for the reduction. In July, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hill for September, hoping to get the procedure done before year-end, as I had already met my insurance out-of-pocket maximum. However, on the day of the appointment, Dr. Hill's office left a voicemail canceling and rescheduled it for a month later, in October. Then, due to yet another error by the office staff, I was informed that my appointment was actually set for November, not October, forcing me to wait another month. Finally, after anxiously waiting for the November appointment, I received yet another last-minute voicemail just two hours before my appointment, canceling it yet again--because it turns out Dr. Hill doesn't even perform breast reductions! This was the entire reason for my referral in the first place, as recommended by the XRANM radiologist. This practice's lack of professionalism, poor communication, and repeated scheduling mishaps have wasted my time, cost me months of needless waiting, and shown a total disregard for my needs and wellbeing. This will cost me thousands of dollars out of pocket, due to insurance out of pocket starting over just two months later due to having to re reestablish care with an actual qualified provider. I strongly advise anyone seeking respectful, competent breast care to avoid this office.

Specifically, billing department. Over billed me and didn't issue refund when promised. This is one of the worst billing departments I've ever dealt with. First, I received a bill for 945.30. I called the office to set up a payment plan. It took forever on hold and when the woman finally answered she put me on hold and never picked up. I called back and no answer. Ok, so I'm spending my time trying to pay someone. I went online and was able to set up three payments. After paying faithfully, XRANM took a fourth payment for 315.10!!! I called and spoke to Nicolai. He agreed four payments were taken and said they were issuing a refund. Yes, Nicolai claimed, the refund was in process already. Week one - no refund issued. I had to go to my bank to dispute the payment. It's been more than one month and I still have no refund. Meanwhile, yesterday I got a bill in the mail from XRANM for forty dollars, supposedly due from a scan in July! After I already paid them months ago when they billed me the initial amount. The gall of this department! They make the whole operation look bad. I hope I get my 315.10 soon. Until then I won't pay you forty dollars. Get your act together.

Awful experience. My own GP gave me a referral to get ultrasound follow up to original mammograms. On being called the technician led me into the xray room with no discussion. I had to insist on ultrasound. After ultrasound a male doctor told me their might be a cancer and he needed xrays to confirm. Then he proceeded to tell me that xrays annually are standard procedure everywhere - not true, its every 2-3 years in my age bracket in Europe. Then he told me the FDA are kind of the gold standard of safety in medicine - one word, Oxycontin! After a pretty vigorous debate this doctor told me I didn't have cancer and told me, "your body, your choice". I felt he must've read that on a bumper sticker somewhere because I found him to be a bully who took no notice of what I said. He also told me that he couldn't let me leave legally without the x-rays being done. What on earth does that mean - handcuffs? I suspect that had nothing to do with me and more to do with his medical insurance. He also told me I should be under treatment for a medical condition I currently have - I went to see my specialist who told me that was not so and that this doctor at the breast imaging center didn't have all my medical results and really wasn't in a position to comment. The male doctor at the mammography center advised me to have mammography again in six months. I told him I wouldn't be taking his advice. He said, rather sarcastically I thought, "feel free to go somewhere else next time". I wish I'd gone somewhere else the first time.

When I went in for my diagnostic testing, ALL of the staff were so kind and supportive. I was impressed because I placed my self on the waiting list for an earlier appointment and they actually called with an earlier date (that hardly ever happens to me). I was a total nervous wreck and the staff here really helped me relax and took time to explain everything to me and answer my questions. In addition, the office was beautiful. There was a volunteer playing lovely music on the guitar. While it is no fun to have to go for diagnostic testing, I certainly would use this clinic again.
