Winrock... up and coming... slowly coming together

As many have pointed out, there's been a bit of vacant feel here. It felt very empty when I arrived in town, but now there's new construction going on and a fully completed park with a kids play area and a little artificial river running through it. And yes they DO have shade in the sitting areas; I don't know where anyone got the idea that playgrounds with sun shade is normal. The movie theatre is adequate, the shopping is fairly decent. It leans towards the high-end, so you won't find juvenile type stores like Hot Topic around (the mall is right around the corner for that). There was some problematic security in place (Mesa) but that has been removed.Really the only problem with this place is Chuze fitness. I have filed a disability discrimination complaint with the state and will be filing assault charges against an employee there soon. I don't go looking for trouble, but I don't tolerate bullies in my own neighborhood.

Winrock Town Center lies in the northeast part of Albquerque, NM. It's not the best in The Duke City because it's a smaller shopping center with not quite the variety of stores I had expected. There is a Regal movie theater. Dave & Buster's. A few different eateries... Firehoue Subs. Red Robin. BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. Jamba Juice. Genghis Grill. Slapfish. Takumi Restaurant. Crackin Crab. Burger 21. A few of those I've never tried. For shopping there isn't just a whole lot. Dillard's. Ulta. Famous Footwear. TJ Maxx. Nordstrom Rack and only a handful more. Parking was free. We might be back if in the vicinity.

Just went to explore this place and there is literally zero shade and the places they do have to sit are small benches . There is an area in the middle but there are no shops facing that way. Was going to see the new kid play area and again zero shade. Well with all this waking surely they have drink or food options. Nope just a cracking crab open at noon. Please add some trees and food options closer to the shops there are big chains further out but who is going to walk a mile to get to them.

Dilliard's and Nordstrom Rack is what is here is that most will care about. Two Dilliard's in fact. Small shopping center. Not far from the ABQ Uptown shopping center and right by Target too.

Looks more like a ghost town now, which is sad because this mall used to be a nice place to walk around. Besides Dillard's, it helps that there's a few new stores that opened in the area (DSW, Ross, David's Bridal) and several new restaurants nearby (Sauce, Takumi, BJ's, and old favorites like Garduño's). I remember the days back when my grandma used to take my cousins and I after school to visit Santa... good times

This shopping center is literally made up of one store. Dillard's. If that's what your looking for it's perfect. I felt like I was in that cartoon cars... where you go into town and there is no one there to buy anything.. cause when we walked into Dillard's only the employees were there. This is a store the size of Super Walmart.

This place is awesome if you like Dillards, and only dillards, because the rest of the stores have long ago moved out of this mall. So essentially it's a "ghost Mall" now.
