An Albuquerque staple! The new owners have really vamped it up and brought a plethora of new inventory.

The neon sign "WILD SIDE" caught my eye as I left a restaurant, Thai.I wondered what it might contain, emblazoned so far from plain.In college it was a head shop, not a place I often stop.Pipes and that sort of thing, sunglasses, hats, perhaps a ring.You can't buy heads or get some here, just paraphernalia from here to there.Perhaps some reggae, hipster, classic rock stuff.For me, you've seen one of these and that's enough.

I really appreciated the personable advice on products and friendly service. The proprietor was knowledgeable on a local car show on the next Sunday, gave me a flyer and said year to year it is really cool. Visiting his shop stood out as interesting we had a fun conversation. Went out of his way to show me the different and interesting accessories and gifts with some locally crafted, quite unique and even retro items he carries. 5 stars... yes!Hey, the guy in there was pretty cool! ... The new management sucks. I've been coming here for 8+ years. When I walk in the man behind the counter glares at me like I'm going to rob the place and gruffly demands my ID. After he checks it he proceeds to hold on to it, not giving it back. I ask for a product I've been coming to this location for specifically, for years on end, and he continues to tell me it doesn't exist and they never have. He's basically making excuses so he doesn't have to look for it. I know they carry them, I just bought some last week. Regardless, rude staff and poor customer service. You sell smoking accessories, how hard is it to be educated on your goods? They've lost a solid customer.

Awful, unhelpful, grumpy staff.Stay away from this place. Fortunately there is now much competition.Overpriced.
