Wild Leaven Bakery

A cute bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. When you walk in the bakery is very welcoming with gorgeous golden yellow walls and a simple setup. They make everything fresh in the back including their chai which was a nice fragrant and spice forward chai. Exactly what I've been wanting. Their cortado was also delicious. It's tucked away off Henry Lynch which creates a quiet atmosphere. The only bummer I found was they don't have wifi.

Stumbled upon this bakery storefront recently. We tried their gluten-free loaf, which was VERY TASTY but too crumbly for sandwiches. Next time, we tried Walnut Bread & it was perfect! (We're not gluten-free.)Today we tried a loaf with chunky nuts & raisins. SO GOOD! But I'd love more raisins in it... they were pretty sparse & I wanted more of the little sweet "blasts" of flavor. Read the fine print when you order a cookie! DELICIOUS!! BUT the one we got had a LOT of red chile! Step thru the doorway to sample the neighboring coffee shop's DELICIOUS grinds! I LOVE the mocha with my bread & pastries!One-stop TASTY MORNING! And you can enjoy it all in the cute, shady courtyard!

The lady at the register was super great! Customer service is tops with her! The sourdough was great. They gave us a cookie to try. OMGOODNESS! So so yummy. The shop is beautiful and clean.

Stopped in for coffee at Ohori's my favorite place in Santa Fe and Chomp food market was open next door. We enjoyed a morning bun from Wild Leaven and got some Challah to-go. The morning bun was citrus and cardamon.

*super delicious* pastries!!! by far, the best in the 'fe! fair warning tho: its quite expensive ($7 or more per piece) but you can taste the excellence! inside chomp, so its spacious and nice. service is solid.

Hands down, these are the best freshly baked and satisfying loaves of bread we've found in Santa Fe so far. We always buy at least two different half loaves. One being the rye fennel molasses and one the original sourdough. Sometimes we can't help it and go for a 3rd option of their bread bc every single bread tastes differently and is delicious. One can always taste the quality ingredients they use.

I grew up in San Francisco, famous for cable cars, Pride, and Sourdough bread.I've lived in Santa Fe over 30 years. And for that entire time I've craved my beloved Sourdough only to be disappointed by the lack of SOUR ()or whatever that particular flavor is)...until now.HALLELUJAH!!! Yes Santa Fe, we have Real Sourdough!!!Comparable to the best San Francisco has to offer.Craft Bread, organic grains and the sourest of sourdough.WILD LEAVEN IS THE TRUTH!!!

Everything that I have tried from Wild Leaven has been superb.The quality and taste of their menu items sets them apart from other bakeries in town.Wild Leaven, Thank you for your dedication to making high quality nutritious food!

Found them in 2019. Great bread. NOT customer-service oriented (or friendly). Very limited operating hours. Non-responsive on email & rude when they finally do reply. Their latest thing is not providing- actually refusing when asked- a plastic sack covering the brown bag with purchase of whole loaf of bread (to help keep it fresh, especially when traveling). Just overall inconsiderate of their patrons. Such a shame because their baked goods are really high quality and their online presence "portrays" such a different persona.

Best sourdough I've had! Period. Try and see for yourself! The seasonal scone is to die for! Their soups and chai are so nourishing. Love a small business that supports MY nutritional needs. Chef Jess is also the sweetest. Will be back ... every week ;)
