Super nice owner and her grandson working there. COVID hair loss thinned my hair. I decided to try on some wigs. Nice selection along with one-on-one attention in teaching me how to put on and off, how to care for, etc! Very satisfied and highly recommend this place! I got a lightweight and natural looking wig that is like an old haircut I once had.

I would give zero stars if possible. Went to look at wigs with my husband as his opinion is a very important to me. We pulled up and immediately noticed signs on windows that we were not comfortable with. We are an interracial couple. Went to walk in and the lady (I believe was the owner) immediately looked at us and said "you can come in (pointing to me), but not him (pointing to my husband who is black)". Not even speaking to him.... Then we said "okay then we will leave." She said nothing back. We felt it was definitely racist and uncalled for. We are both quadrupled vaccinated and could also have put masks on if that was the issue she might have had. But I believe it was more racist then anything.

This is an absolute abomination of a business. The gray haired old woman working there was not only unfriendly, but also condescending. Me and my partner were both made to feel uncomfortable and unwanted as if we had no money to spend. I would rather my partner wear a clown wig from Amazon before coming back to this stale smelling, unfriendly establishment. The old gray haired woman should probably brush her teeth or rinse her mouth with something strong before disrespecting customers.

It was our first time coming in...the sales person that helped my friend was quite blunt and not very compassionate to her situation which I thought was very rude, so we decided to look else where.

Dealing with my hair loss has been one of the hardest things in my life. I was so embarrassed and put off going into a shop for months. Other shops were so open and there was no privacy but then I heard about wigs by Mary Lou. Right off the bat, the woman was friendly and inviting. She helped me feel at ease and made me feel like it was perfectly okay to be buying a wig. She let my try on multiple wigs until we found one that looked natural. I couldn't have done this without her. Don't believe anything else you might read, she was a saint and treated me with nothing but respect and compassion.

I am extremely disappointed! I go to the website and I'm gleaming with pride that the new owners are doing such a wonderful job, but come to Yelp and my stomach is in knots, and I'm not understanding! My parents owned this business for 30-40 yrs MY MOM WAS MARY LOU! The shop was her pride and joy and she had worked very hard for a long time to build her clientele up and to become the respected member of the community that she was! My mom was the person who was responsible for the mane and tail on the horse mascots from the state fair in the 90s she was the one who was entrusted with Santas beard and hair every xmas, the bright red Ronald McDonald wig for the local McDonald's, she was the one who AL HURRICANE bought his wigs from and she's the one who styled, cleaned, and set making sure everything she did was always in the best shape because she had an immense pride for what SHE BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP!!! She worked with the cancer association and alopecia foundation my mama was a hard working woman who treated everyone with respect and dignity no matter what until the day she died! I am sorry to those who had a less than pleasant experience while visiting it makes me very sad the business is no longer in my family and there's not much for me to say or do! I really wish it would have been my family you all had encountered because I know your interaction would have been completely different and a helluva lot more enjoyable....

Very cute little shop with friendly staff. Bought a white short bob with bangs. Love it!

Save your money and buy a wig on Amazon because these wigs aren't worth $20. The wigs are old and shiny. The colored wigs are worse. The lace on all the wigs are cut so can't glue them on. To top it off the owner is pushy, rude and the second she decided I wasn't going to buy anything she basically shoved me out the door.

Me and my GF went in to look around at some wigs. The owner asked us if we knew what we were looking for. We replied just looking around. My gf then asked her if she can take a look at some wigs. She then asked us to leave. Very rudely because she insisted we were not interested in buying. You run a place of business lady! You don't need to be that rude to prospective customers. I had the great pleasure of purchasing my first wig yesterday and the experience was fantastic. As a cross-dressing male, I was unsure how I would be received and was very nervous walking in. Linda Lou assisted me and made me feel very at ease. We tried on many different wigs and with her help found the perfect one. Thank you!!!
