Well I wrote a review on this place last year and it's no longer here. Don't know what happend! Anyway, this business is A+++! Great employees and super helpful. I had many questions and the guy there was full of information. Can't say enough good things about the compost and mulch products they have and at a reasonable price, same price as last year. I tried a business that is close by on a Saturday and they were nothing but rude. I wish Western Organics was open on the weekends.

I won't let the name "Organic" fool me again. When I complained of the strong smell of green manure in their top soil, they said, come back, we must have loaded the wrong thing for you. When I arrived, the same salesman said, "It all smells like that, we will give you a load of sand to spread over the top of your garden, should cut the smell." They sent me to the back of the lot with a front loader guy who didn't speak English - he dumped a load of fill dirt, complete with chunks of construction debris into my truck. I noticed a huge pile of broken sheet rock and wondered if this too was an ingredient in Western Organic's top soil. Won't shop here again.

I do not recommend this company nor it's topsoil. In the fall of 2020 I bought 12 cubic yards of "topsoil". Well I now have had over four trees die from being in this soil. It still smells strongly of manure (July 2021) and the dirt is hydrophobic and then seems to become clay once it is watered. i planted these plants I. The fall. Other plants planted at the same time in dirt from a different company have done very well. One plant I was able to save by removing it from the dirt and putting it in a pit with different topsoil and it seems to be returning g to liFe. When I ha e dug yo the dead or dying plants I noticed the roots did not extend into the dirt I bought from this company. However other plants in different topsoil planted at the same time have extended their roots twice the size of the original rootball.I have called the company twice and left messages to have them return my call but no one has. The soil has been sent by me for analysis to see if I can use it at all with mixing of other things. So $600 for a huge pile of dirt that kills my plant f
