I had a completely positive experience with Western Building Supply. Their lead sales-person, Linda is a beam of positive energy. She was incredibly prompt to answer phone calls and emails. As a first-time home builder, I had a lot to learn. Linda guided me through code requirements- an extra piece of assistance I did not get from other window providers. Western Building Supply also held on to my window package for a couple of months in their warehouse when my framing was behind schedule. I'm very happy with my durable and very affordable Andersen 100 series. I'd recommend Western Building Supply, and especially contacting Linda, without hesitation.

My installer ordered a window from Western Building Supply. Window was a month late coming in. When it got here it was the wrong size. The installer showed us the measurements he had given them, which were right, but the company would not admit an error was made. They wanted more money to rework the window or order a new one. They would not guarantee a 3 to 6 week delivery for replace window. I Will get my windows some where else.

Ordered a set of windows couple of months ago. Windows were great. Contractor they worked with did a fine job. But the metal screens I ordered were incorrectly measured or built 4 times. Not enough emphasis was placed on measuring or manufacturing this product correctly the first time. My opinion is that the company stopped priortizing me as a customer once they had my money. I will seek another window company in the future for this reason. I shouldn't have to call over and over again wondering where my product is.

Ordered some windows for my home. They arrived in a timely manner, and the team that installed them were over the top efficient and kindly answered all of my questions even though they must have been annoyed. Great people, great product. Can't wait until I can budget for a new garage door!

I have done business with this company three times and they screwed it up every time. I guess I am a sucker for punishment. My house was vacant as I was in the process of moving back to Albuquerque and I thought I would get the renovations out of the way prior to my returning. First I purchased windows for my entire house. I had ordered windows that they sell from Anderson. I received a phone call from my salesman, Zane, who advised me that Anderson could not manufacture the eyebrow window (called an eyebrow window because of its shape) in my house. I don't know for sure, but I think he was tricking me into purchasing a lesser grade window that gave him a higher commission. Since I was still out of state I agreed to his recommendation. The installer Zane recommended (who was on Western Building Supplies list of contractors) Howard Coleman, did a terrible job of installing the windows. But I would not know this for at least 6 months when the caulk used by Coleman cracked - every window, cracked caulk, and not little cracks but long and numerous. I phoned Coleman who was supposed to come out and fix the issue, but he was a no show. It was then that I thought I would check out Coleman on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) web site. He had an F rating by the BBB. BBB customers complained about the same things I am warning you about. Additionally, the window Zane ordered to go in front of the master bathroom bathtub was supposed to have been with obscured glass. Zane ordered clear see-through glass. The owner, Linda Tippert, told me to purchase a window covering. I told her that I wanted what I had requested and paid for, which I eventually got. I also informed Linda Tippert of the BBB's rating on Coleman. She said she was unaware of it. I told her that I was making her aware of it and it might just be in her best interest to eliminate him from her recommended contractors list. Prior to my finding fault with the window installation, I had ordered a sliding glass door from them. I experienced more of the same issues with the installation. Again, the installer (not Coleman) did a poor job and within six months the molding for the slider was coming off of my house. Well, this contractor had "retired" and left the state and they had no way of contacting him. Zane in all his wisdom came out to my home and with a nail gun nailed the molding onto my house. He promised to return with some touch-up paint because the silver-colored nails stood out from the brown molding. Zane never returned. And finally I purchased an insulated garage door from Western Building Supply. Nothing wrong with the door, but several months after the installation, the garage door would not close all the way. I thought it was an issue with the garage door opener. I called a local garage door repair company. I was informed that whoever installed the garage door had tightened the springs too tight and after an adjustment was made to the garage springs all is working just fine. I spent $125 to get my springs adjusted. I needed to get my head examined. LOL The issue I have with Western Building Supply is that after I spoke to the owners - a husband and wife team - their attitude was cavalier. The wife kept calling me Dude. I told her my name and that I was a female. To which she replied, "I call all my friends dude." I reminded her that I was a customer and had spent in excess of $16,000 with her company. She was unsympathetic and told me I could come by and borrow a can of brown spray paint to spray the nail heads on the sliding door molding. I told her where she could stick that can of spray paint and it was not nice. I will never do business with this company again. Never! They lost a lot of income from me, as I purchased a new fireplace that cost over $5K and all new interior & exterior doors without any issues.
