It's a mini dog park away from the main park so fur babies can play. There were friendly pups and owners there at my time of visit. Mini dog park was clean. Park is definitely not accommodating to many larger dogs.My 2 pups had enough space to explore and conduct their business.

This great little park near the Middle School is a great place to walk around or take the dog for a walk. It's a great neighborhood gem. This is a great place for a relaxing lunch during the warmer months.

Washington Middle School Park is a lovely park for a summertime walk. Its so green & lush during this season you almost forget your in Albuquerque. There is a playground for the kiddos and its a nice size you can walk around a few times to get in some daily steps, if youre into that sort of thing. There are so many shade tree's you can find a nice spot to sit relax and read a book! Its definitely a nice park for a picnic on a nice summer afternoon. Its located in the downtown area of Albuquerque so there are other things around within walking distance of this park, such as the ABQ Bio Park and the Growers Market. Have fun if you're out exploring ABQ parks :C)

The Bad: My wife squinted her eyes, twisted her lips, furrowed her brow and exclaimed, "It's like Picasso and Dali designed a... playground. Together."I nodded in agreement watching a little girl, perhaps five years of age, attempting to shimmy up a winding band of plastic that might've passed for a slide on a serious acid trip. This was reality, however, and in the real world the kid was having difficulty just keeping her balance, her father standing alongside for support. The entire structure beamed of modern styling and engineering, and I really wanted to behold the brilliance of its joints, hoists and ergonomic monkey bars, but I couldn't get around the idea that these structural aspects were impediments to the actual point of visiting a playground; they didn't work. The Good: Well, perhaps they did. The kid found it entertaining to swing and climb around several of the areas after all. Yes, there she was, smiling, and there was her little sister, half her age, totally frustrated. A sign next to the playground stated the park was specifically designed for kids 2 to 5 years of age. Let's amend that to say... oh, 5 to 8. And let's not forget that the imagination fuels our human desire to play, so perhaps this place has provided some great experiences for kids. It's a welcome replacement from the previous set, which was outdated and often trashed. And let's not forget the wood chip ground cover, they're always welcome. The Verdict: Like a stand-alone sculpture in the center of a modern art museum titled "Untitled", without much form or function to speak of, it's difficult to say why someone created this thing in the first place. But hey, there it is. Indeed.
